David’s Comment: Now Is the Time for Your Nation’s Prayer House on Mt. Carmel
Zechariah 8:22 Many peoples and powerful nations will come to seek ADONAI Tzevot in Jerusalem and to pray to YHVH (KJV Lite)
This comment is the 3rd in the ‘Now is the Time’ series. Two weeks ago I wrote about ‘Now is the Time for All Jews to Come Home’ and last week’s title was ‘Now is the Time to Invest in Israel’, so this week’s comment follows on and it connected to the theme of the previous two weeks. I believe that after Mt.Zion in Jerusalem, which is the epicenter of the Kingdom of GOD on the Earth, Mt.Carmel is the next most important and strategic location. Of course this mountain is where the prophet Elijah contested the Baals (1 Kings 18), but more importantly for we who are alive and in the Kingdom at such a time as this, Mt.Carmel is a strategic location for prayer and intercession to protect Israel from those who seek to harm and even destroy the nation.
I am sure most of you agree that we are living in the ‘End Times’, and the return of the Messiah is rapidly approaching. The King of Kings can only return to Jerusalem, the undivided capital city of the nation of Israel. This being the case, then it is also true that Israel is facing the most dangerous, perilous time of her entire history, ancient and modern. The kingdom of darkness is desperate to prevent the return of Yeshua, by trying every dirty trick in the book to get rid of Israel. That is the background to the 4000 year conflict between the 2 sons of Abraham, that is now building up to its climax. In the Biblical history of Israel, the most serious attacks have come from the north, and as we know, history has a habit of repeating itself, which is why Josie and I, and others, have a vision to see a chain of international prayer houses established all along the crest of Mt.Carmel.
If you are not sure why we need the above prayer houses, I will give you our reasons …….
1. In both natural and spiritual warfare it is extremely important to occupy the ‘high ground’. Mt. Carmel has a commanding position close to the northern border, with visual access to the border and the entrance to the Megiddo Valley (Armageddon)
2. The ultimate target of the enemy is Jerusalem, but the attack will likely come from the north, so the northern border is the front line of defense protecting Jerusalem. The Israeli military leaders understand this and there is a very strong military presence up on the Golan Heights and along the northern border. They are on full alert 24/7, constantly monitoring the movement of the enemy.
3. The real heart of the battle for Jerusalem is in the spiritual realm, therefore there must be a ‘spiritual military’ presence in the north, to repel the advance of the spiritual forces of darkness that are coming, and will come against Jerusalem.
4. Jerusalem is well protected spiritually by at least five 24/7 prayer houses in the Holy city, and multitudes of intercessors around the world who maintain a prayer vigil from prayer houses and from their homes. However Mt.Carmel and the north are often overlooked and do not enjoy the same intercessory protection.
The LORD has already begun to move on this vision, as prayer houses have already been established by Christians from Australian, Germany and Korea. However there are still many locations on the mountain that would be great locations for a prayer house representing your nation. I am writing this comment to encourage our readers who are called to the ministry of prayer and intercession, to seek the LORD in prayer, if He would have you be instrumental in establishing a prayer house for your country.
Josie and I are here to assist you with the logistics, and of course finances will be a big part of the vision becoming a reality. There are two options concerning the financial aspect for the prayer house ………
1. Rent an apartment from a local owner – no long term return
2. Purchase an apartment which will serve as your nation’s prayer house, be a base for times that you come to Israel, be a long term investment in the Kingdom. It will also serve as a spiritual embassy for your country, and I believe will bring great blessing, as you fly the Israel flag and the flag of your nation, from the apartment.
The sub-options for both of the above options are …….
1. Rent the apartment or purchase it alone if you have the financial ability to do that
2. Form a group to rent or purchase the apartment, sharing the cost and splitting the access time – I believe that a group of 4 or12 would be best. The normal tourist visa is 3 months, so that would work well for 4 people, or 12 would give each member 1 month share and would reduce the cost significantly, but would be more complicated logistically.
Anyhow I pray that I have given you something to think and pray about, and that the Holy Spirit will show you how to move ahead, and the He will connect you to other people, churches or ministry organisations that may be keen to be a part of your group. Please contact me if you have any further questions …….. firstname.lastname@example.org
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on all of the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Please pray that all Israel will turn back to their GOD. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom ….. David & Josie
This Week’s News Items
1. Family of Wounded Soldier Asks for Prayer
The condition of IDF soldier Nathaniel Felber has deteriorated a year and a half after he was wounded in a terror attack at the Givat Assaf Junction in December. Felber, who serves in the Netzach Yehudah battalion, spent many days in the neurosurgery unit at Hadassah Hospital in very serious condition after suffering a severe head injury in the December, 2018 attack. Two other soldiers were murdered in the attack. Felber’s condition began to deteriorate last week, leading his family to ask the public to pray for his recovery. Nathaniel’s mother, Judy Felber, said that since his arrival at Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital, his condition has improved. “The bullet came in from the right and exited from the left. It is a miracle that he is alive. There are problems on the right side of the brain, but most problems are caused by the injury on the left.” “He manages to move all his limbs, the arms and legs, which is good. He can’t move them much. But no one can really say what will be with a head injury, no one knows.” Please pray daily for the complete recovery of Netanel Felber.
2. IDF Gears Up for Violent Response to Annexation Arutz 7 News May 15th
The Israel Defense Forces is prepping for three scenarios if the government?s plan to annex the Jordan Valley and Judea and Samaria comes to fruition, reports Arutz Sheva. In one scenario there will be no major disturbances other than mild riots, and in the second scenario, terrorist attacks and larger riots in Judea and Samaria and Gaza will occur. In the most extreme scenario, the Palestinians will launch violent riots and a continuous wave of deadly terrorist acts on a grand scale. According to a recent poll, over two-thirds of ‘Palestinians’ living across Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip support a new intifada (uprising) against Israel to stop the implementation of President Donald Trump?s Middle East peace plan. For its part, the U.S. has publicly supported Israel?s plans to move forward with annexation. Prior to his recent trip to Israel, U.S Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said applying sovereignty over Judea and Samaria is ?Israel?s decision.” Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas warned of dire consequences if Israel proceeds with annexation. ?If Israel annexes the Jordan Valley and parts of the West Bank, we will consider ourselves free of all previous agreements with Israel and America, and even consider withdrawing from the Oslo Accords,? Abbas said in a speech to Fatah leadership in Ramallah last week. King Abdullah of Jordan is also warning of a serious conflict if the annexation goes ahead. Pray that Israel will not be threatened or manipulated out of the planned annexation of her rightful GOD-given territory.

Friedman, who is Jewish and speaks Hebrew, tweeted: ?Congratulations and Mazal Tov to PM [Benjamin] Netanyahu, APM [alternate prime minister] & MOD [minister of defense Benny] Gantz, the State of Israel and the People of Israel on the formation of a new government. The United States looks forward to working with you to enhance our already incredibly strong relationship & unbreakable bond.? The establishment of the new government brought an end to more than a year of political stalemate and prevented a fourth round of elections. Pray for good relationships between the new Israel government and the government of your nation
5. Palestinian Authority Cancels All Agreements with Israel and the USA World Israel News May 20th
I an emergency meeting in Ramallah on Tuesday, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas announced that due to Israeli plans to annex parts of Judea and Samaria, all agreements with Israel and the U.S. are null and void. This would include the Oslo Accords, which was the basis for the establishment of the Palestinian Authority. ?The Palestine Liberation Organization and the State of Palestine are absolved, as of today, of all the agreements and understandings with the American and Israeli governments and of all the obligations based on these understandings and agreements, including the security ones,? Abbas said, according to the Wafa news agency, a PA mouthpiece. Pray that the PA keep to their threat to cancel all treaties, ensuring that there will never be a peace treaty connected to ‘land for peace’
6. Israel Prepared for Iranian Cyber Attacks United with Israel News May 17th
The National Cyber Directorate (INCD) issued a warning on Wednesday for Israelis to be prepared for expected cyber attacks by Iran and other anti-Israel activists in the coming weeks. The INCD said that as part of the annual Iranian organized ?Quds Day? (Jerusalem Day) when Iranian hackers and anti-Israel activists attempt to coordinate cyber attacks against Israel. The annual Quds Day protests call for the destruction of the State of Israel and are also held in Iraq, Lebanon and elsewhere, occurring on the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Iran has marked Quds Day since the start of its 1979 Islamic Revolution by the late Ayatollah Khomeini. Al-Quds is the Arabic name for Jerusalem, and the Iranian regime uses the day as an annual opportunity to gather crowds for mass ?death to Israel? and ?death to America? chants. The malicious cyber activity is expected to take place this year between May 14-22 with the goal of trying to damage Israel. From previous experience, the INCD expects hackers to focus on corrupting and overloading Israeli websites, disseminating propaganda messages on various platforms, and swamping phone centers. Although these are not sophisticated attacks and their success is limited each year, the increased reliance on technology due to the coronavirus crisis has created a widespread attack surface that may also be exploited by hackers, therefore, organizations must always be prepared for any scenario. Pray that all attempts by Iran to hack into Israel’s or any other nations systems will be dectected and will backfire on the hackers
7. Celebrating Jerusalem Day Jerusalem Post May 21st
Parliamentarians from Latin America and Europe have sent letters to President Reuven Rivlin congratulating the Jewish people and the State of Israel on Jerusalem Day. ?On Jerusalem Day, we will celebrate not only the determination of the Jewish people to live in the eternal capital of Israel, but also the shared Judeo-Christian values that have sealed the historical relations between Latin America and Israel since November 1947, when 13 of the then 20 Latin American countries voted in favor of the creation of the State of Israel at the United Nations General Assembly,? reads a letter signed by a minister from Uruguay, a senator from Columbia and legislators from Guatemala, Argentina and Suriname. Similarly, a letter signed by officials from the EU and 12 European parliaments remembered how ?13 of the 17 European countries voted in favor of the creation of the State of Israel.? All of the signers are members or heads of the Israel Allies Caucuses of different Parliaments in Europe, including from Sweden, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Wales, Slovakia, Finland, Netherlands, Estonia, Croatia and Lithuania. The non-profit Israel Allies Foundation creates caucuses to encourage cooperation among faith-based supporters of Israel in parliaments and legislatures worldwide. The letters come at a time when the world is debating Israel’s right to territory won during the 1967 Six Day War, which includes parts of Jerusalem. The European Union, specifically, has threatened and condemned Israel over the possibility that it may annex settlements in the coming months, as per US President Donald Trump?s peace plan. Jerusalem Day is being celebrated from sundown on May 21 to sundown on May 22 this year. Lets celebrate and rejoice with the citizens of Jerusalem – the City of the King
