David’s Comment: Now is Time to Invest in Israel
Psalm 102:12 The LORD will arise and have mercy on Zion for the time, the set time to favour Zion has come …..
Psalm 102:16 The LORD will build up Zion and then He will appear in His glory
Last week’s comment focused on now being the time for ALL of the Jewish people to return to the land that the Bible calls “the Promised Land.” YHVH gave the Land of Israel to Abraham and his decendants as an everlasting covenant for 1000 generations (Psalm 105:6 – 11). This land covenant is the only one-sided covenant in the Bible. When the LORD cut this covenant with Abraham, HE put Abraham into a deep sleep, which means Abraham did not promise anything. Therefore nothing the Jewish people do or don’t do has any affect on their eligibility to possess the Promised Land.
After almost 2000 years of non-existence, the Land of Israel was resurrected at this time on May 14th 1948. Since that time, it is very obvious to those watching Israel with the right glasses on, that GOD has indeed been building up Zion, which is a clear sign that soon and very soon HE will be appearing in HIS glory. More than 6.5 million Jewish people live in Israel today. (total population is 9.2 million). Over the last few years 500 to 800 Jews have been returning every week, and as we wrote last week, the immigration agency is expecting a massive rise in that number, as a result of rising anti-Semitism and the COVID-19 pandemic.
As in most of the World, the pandemic caused a major downturn in Israel’s economy, which had been one of the most flourishing of all countries. The 2 biggest contributors to Israel’s booming economic success are Hi-Tech and Tourism. As the pandemic took hold the tourism market came to an abrupt and total stop, robbing the economy of hundreds of millions of dollars, and taking away tens of thousands of jobs in the airline, hotel, restaurant and souvenir sectors, creating even more damage to the economy. This has been going on for more than 2 months now, and praise YAH, the virus is now on the decline and the nation is opening up again.
As Spring turns to Summer here on Mt. Carmel, Josie an I have a sense that Israel is about to blossom in many ways. One of the signs that we see as an indicator of that, is that the Sea of Galilee, which had been at a dangerously low level for many years, is now overflowing its banks, following a very wet winter. As the lockdown is relaxed, most people will be able to return to work, putting cash back into their hands, and that cash will begin to feed back into the economy. The population, which has been growing slowly but steadily since we arrived here in 1992, is about to leap upwards as these expected thousands of new immigrants begin to flood into the country, which in turn will bring an increase to the economy. The Tel Aviv stock exchange which is already rising up close to the level it was at in early March, stands to receive a major boost if Israeli companies are able to produce an effective vaccine against COVID-19. Other start-up companies are working on medical and
Hi-tech innovations which will also boost the stock-market and the economy in general.
The future of Israel is looking good, very good. I stand by what I have been saying for some time now …. Israel has the best long term prospects of all the nations. That becomes even more obvious when we consider that the Son of GOD is coming back to rule the entire World from Jerusalem, the undivided capital city of Israel.
Therefore NOW is the time to invest in Israel. To hasten the day you receive a spiritual return, Now is the time to invest your prayer energy into Israel. Invest time to pray for the Jewish people in your nation to come home. Invest time to pray for the Jewish people in Israel and the nations to come to faith in their Messiah. Invest time to pray for the growth and maturing of the Messianic Believers in Israel and for the restoration of the ‘apostolic’ calling on Israel to be a light and a blessing to the nations. Invest time to pray for the protection of Israel’s military and security personal who risk their lives everyday to protect this blossoming nation. Invest time to pray peace and security on Israel’s borders. Invest time to pray for Israel’s new unity government, that they will be able to work together to oversee the continuing growth of this miracle nation.
Finally if you are sensing the LORD directing you to invest in Israel to see a material return, now is the time to invest in Israel financially. You can do this by investing in several ways …….
1/ Invest in Israeli government bonds
2/ Invest in the wide selection of Israeli start up companies. The track record of these start-ups is very good.
3/ Investing in the Israel property market. This is the safest way to invest as the value of property in Israel must surely increase as the number of new immigrants increases. There are millions of Jewish people still out there in the nations and GOD says that HE will bring ALL of them home.
If what I have written has sparked your interest, please write back to me and we can discuss the options that are best for your personal situation. Let us all soldier on in prayer for Israel, for the Body of Messiah, and for the unbelievers in the nations, that the Lord will find great faith on the Earth when He returns.
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on all of the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Please pray that all Israel will turn back to their GOD. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom ….. David & Josie
This Week’s News Items
1. Israeli Plasma Tests Very Positive United With Israel News May 6th
Israeli doctors used plasma therapy to treat severely ill coronavirus patients, which showed ?impressive results? in serious cases. Not long after the coronvirus crisis spiraled into a global health pandemic, the race was on to find a cure, vaccine, or effective treatment for the deadly virus. While treatments such as remdesivir have entered clinical trials and may hold the key to treatment in the future, Israeli doctors used plasma treatments early on during the crisis. Israel?s emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) collected blood plasma from patients who had recovered from the virus hoping that the antibodies it contains could be injected into people battling the disease. Professor Eilat Shinar, Director of the MDA Blood Services Division, explained in April, ?In biological systems, when we are exposed to viruses or bacteria, our immune system responds by producing proteins called antibodies. These proteins are found in the plasma of each of us after exposure to the coronavirus.? Pray that this plasma treatment will prove to very effective in treating COVID-19
2. At Least 1300 French Jews Have Died from COVID-19 Arutz News May 10th
At least 1,300 members of France?s Jewish community have died of COVID-19, the country?s Jewish burial service said. The French chevra kadisha, the Jewish term for those who provide Jewish burial services, reported the figure this week. Hundreds have been flown to be buried in Israel, according to the report, and some estimates speak of 2,000 Jewish fatalities. The numbers show that the French Jewish community has been the worst hit in Europe by far. The United Kingdom recorded 372 Jewish deaths. France has about 500,000 Jews, double the number of the U.K. community.
In France and the United Kingdom, the numbers of COVID-19 fatalities rely on the number of Jewish burials held. It does not include those who were Jewish but did not have a Jewish burial.
According to the 1,300 tally, Jews make up about 5% of the 25,897 COVID-19 fatalities recorded in France. That statistic means that French Jews? share of the death toll is six times larger than their share of the population. Pray that the sad loss of these lives will motivate more Jewish people everywhere to make Aliyah – immigration to Israel.
3. IDF Soldier Killed by Falling Concrete Block Arutz 7 News May 12th
An Israeli soldier was killed Tuesday morning in a stone-throwing attack in northern Samaria. The soldier was a member of the Israeli army?s Golani Brigade, and IDF spokesperson said Tuesday.
The incident occurred while the soldier?s unit was securing an arrest operation targeting a number of wanted suspects in the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Ya’abad, west of Jenin, in northern Samaria. During the pre-dawn arrest operation, a block was dropped on the soldier, striking him in the head and fatally injuring him. “When the [security] forces entered the area, massive rocks were hurled at them,” said an IDF spokesperson. “While the soldiers were making their way out following the completion of all the arrests, a stone was thrown from the roof of one of the houses, down onto the head of one of our soldiers. Despite the fact that he was wearing a helmet, he was severely injured. An intensive care unit evacuated the injured soldier to a helicopter landing site and was taken to the hospital, where he died.” The fallen soldier has been identified as 21-year-old Staff Sergeant Amit Ben Yigal, a resident of the Israeli city of Ramat Gan. The IDF has posthumously promoted Ben Yigal to the rank of Chief Sergeant. Israeli Defense Minister Naftali Bennett responded to the attack saying ?Staff Sergeant Amit Ben Yigal was killed overnight while he was ensuring Israel?s security. The IDF and security forces will apprehend the lowly terrorists responsible for this, and we will bring them to justice.” The girlfriend of Amit Ben Yigal, told Channel 13 how much her boyfriend loved both her and his country. ?He loved his country so much,? Osher Hanum told the Israeli news outlet. Pray for the family and friends of the fallen soldier.

5. Anti-Semitism in USA Reaches Record High in 2019 Associated Press May 2020
American Jews were targets of more anti-Semitic incidents in 2019 than any other year over the past four decades, a surge marked by deadly attacks on a California synagogue, a Jewish grocery store in New Jersey and a rabbi?s New York home, the Anti-Defamation League reported. The Jewish civil rights group counted 2,107 anti-Semitic incidents in 2019, finding 61 physical assault cases, 1,127 instances of harassment and 919 acts of vandalism. That?s the highest annual tally since the New York City-based group began tracking anti-Semitic incidents in 1979. It also marked a 12% increase over the 1,879 incidents it counted in 2018. Jonathan Greenblatt, the group?s CEO, attributes last year?s record high to a ?normalization of anti-Semitic tropes, the charged politics of the day and social media.” The ADL?s count of anti-Semitic assaults involved 95 victims. More than half of the assaults occurred in New York City, including 25 in Brooklyn. Eight of the Brooklyn attacks happened during a span of eight days in December, primarily in neighborhoods where many Orthodox Jews live. ?Objects were thrown at victims, anti-Semitic slurs were shouted, and at least three victims were hit or punched in their heads or faces,? says the report. Pray that GOD will use the continuing rise of anti-Semitism will drive the Jews home to Israel.

Top officials in the premier?s party said that ?with some of the ministers it?s stuck. However, incoming defense minister and Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz turned down Netanyahu?s request. But matters became more complicated for the Israeli premier as Likud lawmaker Avi Dichter decided not to participate in the swearing-in after allegedly not having met Netanyahu at all. He reportedly called his chairman’s conduct a showcase of ?contempt? toward the 130,000 Likud members.? Meanwhile, appointments within the Blue and White party have advanced with no major issues. Pray that these issues are resolved on Sunday so that the new government can be sworn in.
7. IDF Soldier Injured in Car Ramming Attack I24 News May 14th
An Israel Defense Forces soldier was wounded and a suspected terrorist was “neutralized” in a car-ramming attack in the West Bank settlement of Negohot near Hebron on Thursday afternoon. According to the initial report from the Magen David Adom, Israel’s health emergency service, a 20-years-old young man was transported into a hospital in a moderate condition with a limb injury after the incident. The suspected ramming attack follows a number of arrests made by Israeli security forces during raids in the West Bank village of Yabed, where the 21 year old soldier was killedon Tuesday. The security services believe that the killer is among those brought in during the raids, but pinpointing the perpetrator would take extra time. Wednesday also saw a stabbing attack at the Tel HaShomer Medical Center in Tel Aviv, viewed by the security services as a criminal incident as the attacker — shot dead during the incident. Before that, another stabbing attack was thwarted in Jerusalem with no casualties. Pray for more angels to be despatched to protect the IDF soldiers, at all times, wherever they are.
