David's Comment: Psalm 122:6 Pray for the Peace of
Jerusalem
The above verse is not a suggestion or optional
choice. In the Hebrew the word PRAY or ASK is an imperative - it is an
order, a command from The Lord Himself. In Isaiah 62:6 - 7 the
Lord requests that all who call upon His name, to give Him no rest until he
makes Jerusalem a praise in all the Earth. Ever since June 6th 1967, following
Israel's amazing, miraculous victory in the Six Day War, most of the nations in
the world see Jerusalem as a curse rather than a praise. This is because
immediately after the re-unification of Jerusalem as a result of the victory
over Jordan, Egypt and Syria, the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organisation) came
into being, specifically for the purpose of removing the Jewish people from
Jerusalem and, in reality, the removal of every Jew from all of the Promised
Land. For more than 30 years the PLO was under the leadership of
arch-terrorist Yassar Arafat, a man who somehow had the ability to manipulate
most of the Western World into believing the Muslim perspective concerning
Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the so called Palestinian people's right to
have a state on the land that God promised to the Jewish people through His
ETRERNAL covenant promises to Abraham.
Even thought the existence of a Palestinian people is a modern day myth
invented by Arafat and perpetuated by the Anti-Christ secular media, the
controversy over
Jerusalem has raged for more than 40 years now and has cost the lives of
thousands of Jews, Arabs and people in many nations. The world's
financial system has suffered several 'oil-shocks' because of this
conflict between Israel and the Muslim Arab nations and even today the
financial markets are at the mercy of Middle East oil. I am sure that
this is the reason that most of the world stands against God's election that
the Jewish people occupy the land promised to Abraham. (Jer 30:3)
To oppose the Jewish people's right to live in the Promised Land is to
stand in direct opposition to God. Such people, even those who see
themselves as Christians, will be in very serious trouble with the God of Israel
on the day that they stand before Him.
As I write this comment the controversy over Jerusalem is raging. Right
now Muslim youth are rioting on and around the Temple Mount, over Israel's
recent announcements concerning the preservation of strategic Biblical sites,
and the restoration and rededication of a Jewish synagogue in the Old
City. Why is it that Israel allows the Muslims total religious freedom,
but the Muslims reciprocate in the very opposite spirit. And this is not
just the case in Israel, but in every country where Islam has a stronghold,
including your nation. If you live in the UK, the USA or Europe, you know
its true !
Israel does not have only the Muslims fighting against her, but the political
leaders of your country are taking the side of the Muslim world (I smell oil
again) and are demanding that Israel give away her inheritance from the
Lord. Just look at the furor over last week's announcement of the
building of 1600 new homes in Jerusalem. Sure the timing was not very
smart, coming on the day that US vice-president Biden was here to apply more
pressure on the Israeli government to appease the Palestinian Authority by
conceding to their demands for Jewish land, but we need to keep in mind
that these houses are to be built on Jewish owned land in Jerusalem, the
capital city of Israel, and the city that God claims as His own. Now the
once solid relationship between Israel & the USA is at its worst level in
35 years, all because the world's leaders are desparate to pacify Islam, in the
hope of stopping terror in their own countries and keeping the oil supply
flowing.
Finally we have the issue of the secular media, always quick to lay blame and
condemnation on Israel, while treating the Muslims with kid gloves. As
proof of that statement here is a report from The Jerusalem Post of
March 12, on the recent Muslim versus Christian violence in Nigeria ... According
to eyewitness reports, some victims were scalped and many were raped. Most had
their hands and feet chopped off. Infants and children were among the
butchered. The massacre was premeditated. According to government
spokesmen, Muslim residents were tipped off two days prior to the attack. To
ensure their victims were Christians, the Jihadists addressed them in Fulani,
the language spoken by local Muslims. If the victims responded in Fulani they
were saved. Otherwise they were hacked to death.
Sunday's massacre could have been expected to lead the news worldwide. But it
didn't. Indeed it was barely noted. That scant coverage the barbarous
events received was itself plagued by obscurity and vagueness. Commentators and
reporters alike hid the identities of the aggressors and the victims,
characterizing the jihadist butchery as "sectarian
violence." Writing in the London Times on
Thursday, British Baroness Caroline Cox claimed that the primary victims of
January's slaughter were Christians, not Muslims. According to Cox,
eyewitnesses to the events in January "indicated that the killings began
when Muslim youths attacked Christians on a Sunday morning on their way to
church. Muslims were also killed as those under attack began to fight
back." "In the early stages of the attack,
the Muslim militants take corpses to mosques, where they are photographed and
released to the media, creating the impression that these are Muslim
victims."
Brothers and sisters - its time to stand up this anti-God,
anti-Christ, anti-Israel, anti-Christian spirit ! As its says in Isaiah 62 DO NOT REMAIN SILENT - give the Lord no rest until He
makes Jerusalem a praise in all the Earth" As
well as giving the Lord no rest, we need to stand in strong faith with the
weapons of our warfare and take authority in Yeshua's name over every attempt
of the enemy to abort the destiny of Israel and the true Church. And give
no rest to your politicians, your local media, and give no rest to you pastor
if he is not flowing with God's plans and purposes for Israel.
The Lord bless you as you bless Israel by standing
in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the
God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God.
Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with
your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for
that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray for all of
the soldiers in the IDF -they are defending and fighting for the Kingdom of
God.
Shabbat Shalom ... David & Josie
