In last weeks comment I focused on Replacement Theology.   The conference mentioned in the following newspaper report is a the fruit of that insidious and Anti-Semitic theological view point.   Please will you make it a prayer mission to take spiritual authority over this planned conference and pray that it is prevented from taking place

Bethlehem Bible College to Host Church Conference Which Demonizes Israel - Israel National News

     In March,  the Bible College in Bethlehem will host dozens of US theologians, activists and ministries for the “Christ at the Checkpoint 2012 Conference It is to be a major religious and political event meant to demonize Israel and to support the Palestinian Intifada against the “ethnocentric” Jewish State. The impressive range of Christian theologians and pastors from many churches located in the United States make the gravity of the upcoming conference clear. Samuel Rodriguez, President of the US National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, is a speaker. Also attending are popular US preacher and “spiritual adviser” to Bill Clinton, Tony Campolo, and President of the World Evangelical Alliance and Asia Evangelical Alliance, Sang-Bok David Kim.   Two of the conference organisers, Stephen Sizer and Sami Awad, adamantly defended the Gaza flotilla sent in May 2010 by the Turkish terror group IHH.   Another speaker, Ben White, has shared a political platform with Azzam Tamimi, who has endorsed suicide bombings against Jewish civilians in the past.

In the last few months we have seen an increase of attacks on Israel by many Christian denominations. While the United States is home to millions of Christian supporters of Israel, these are anti-Jewish Churches which are more closely attached to global public opinion, European bureaucracy, the media industry, the United Nations and various legal forums. In fact, the “Bethlehem Call” manifesto, which serves as platform for the Bethlehem 2012 Conference, has just been published on the websites of the Would Council of Churches, the Global Ministries of the United Church of Christ and the Disciples of Christ.
The Bethlehem Call defines Israel as an “illegal regime” and a “crime against humanity”, it promotes “international boycott, divestment and sanctions campaigns” against Israel, labels the more neutral Churches  as “accomplices in crimes against humanity” and attacks Christian Zionism as “a crime and sin as defying the core of the Gospel”.

The Bethlehem Call also updates the “Kairos Palestine”, the major document used as global tool for the Christian struggle against Israel speaking in the behalf of “us Christian Palestinians”.  Even the name of the Catholic Custodian of the Holy Land, Pierbattista Pizzaballa, prominently appears among the most important signatures in this website: http://www.kairospalestine.ps/sites/default/Documents/English.pdf

In 2007, the World Council of Churches, the umbrella organization of liberal Protestants claiming a membership of 580 million worshippers, also produced the “Amman Call”, which denies Israel’s right to continue to exist as a Jewish State by insisting that millions of Palestinians have the “right of return” to Israel.

In 2008, the World Council of Churches convened a group of Protestant and Catholic theologians to review the underpinnings of Christian attitudes about Israel. The group published the “Bern Perspective”, which, among other things, instructed Christians to understand all biblical references to Israel only “metaphorically”.

The theological meeting also marked a return to “replacement theology”, the medieval view that the Church has replaced the people of Israel in God’s plan and that all biblical references to Israel refer to the “new Israel”­that is, to Christians.   Replacement calumny has changed its language, yet still is basically a death sentence for the Jewish people. Now it is Israelis, like Lucifer, who were God’s chosen but were cast out for their rebellious and evil ways, and deserve to be obliterated from the “Holy Land”, according to this macabre theology.

Taken together, it seems these Churches are now breathing new life into a kind of demonology which criminalizes all the Jews living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean.

The Lord bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel.  Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God.  Do not be silent, but share this wth your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to.   Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims,  and please remember to pray for all of the soldiers in the IDF -they are defending and fighting for the Kingdom of God.

1. Cold Weekend Brings Heavy Snowfall on Mt. Hermon   ICEJ News   Jan 23rd
      Israel experienced heavy precipitation over the weekend, including 130 centimeters of snow on  the higher peak of Mount Hermon which overloaded the ski resort, forcing it to shut down for a few hours. There was more snow in other parts of the Golan Heights and heavy rains in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, as well as other areas. Despite the overcast weather, the Energy and Water Ministry had sun on its mind on Sunday, adding NIS 10 million for planning up to 2,000 hectares of future solar-power plants in Israel. The effort is part of a larger move in Israel to lower the Jewish State's dependence on unreliable sources of energy such as Egyptian natural gas and take advantage of the advanced technology available in Israel.  Please continue to pray for much more rain and more snow before the winter ends

2. Israel Extends Goodwill Gestures to PA's Abbas    ICEJ News   Jan 24th
   As a goodwill gesture to Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas, Israel is reportedly letting the construction of two PA police stations near Jerusalem pass, despite the fact that it violates previous agreements. One police station is in the village of a-Ram, which lies northeast of the Jerusalem neighborhood Neveh Ya'acov, just outside the capital's municipal borders. The second station was established in what is known as the Biddu enclave - a group of eight Palestinian villages located near Ramallah and along Road 443. Both are in Area B, which according to the Oslo Accords was designated as being under Israeli security control and Palestinian civilian control. The Israeli gesture is meant to bolster Abbas and the PA against possible moves by the Islamist terror militia Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip and threatens the PA's sovereignty in the Palestinian cities of the West Bank.    
    Other goodwill gestures include a series of joint environmental projects between the Civil Administration and the PA. Israel has spent hundreds of thousands of shekels on the projects.  Despite the various gestures by Israel, the PA recently reiterated its absolute refusal to negotiate with Israel without a renewal of the freeze on building in settlements, and a senior Hamas official declared categorically that the Islamist terror militia will never give up violence against Israel.

3. Israel Vigilantly Guarding Against Iranian Attacks    ICEJ News  Jan  23rd
    IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz reportedly discussed the "transatlantic smuggling" of military equipment from Iran to its terrorist proxies in the region with US Chairman of the Joint chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey during the latter's recent visit. Gantz expressed Israel's desire to increase international cooperation against the phenomenon, building on earlier discussions he'd had with his European counterparts during a recent NATO summit in Brussels. "This is extremely complicated since it requires intelligence to know which boat is carrying what, as well as new maritime laws to enable navies to board and seize ships," a senior defense official explained. Meanwhile, an Iranian official made an emotional statement at a memorial service to assassinated Iranian nuclear scientists on Friday, declaring that "the Zionist regime should be punished in a way that it can't play such games with our country again."
Please pray that the IDF will be able to track and intercept any kind of Iranian attack

4. Islamist Dominated Egyptian Parliament Convenes    ICEJ News   Jan 24th
    Monday saw the opening session of Egypt's newly elected lower house of parliament, with Islamist parties taking the lead. The first issue taken up was to elect Saad Al Katatni, the secretary general of the Moslem Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice party, to the post of speaker. "We want to build a new Egypt, a constitutional, democratic and modern Egypt," Katatni said. "Democracy will be the source of our parliament's power. "We say to the Egyptian people and to the world that our revolution continues." Katatni also thanked "the great Egyptian army and the [ruling] Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which stuck to its promise that it would hold elections that the world could boast about." But not everyone agreed with the sentiment, as many gathered to demand that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces turn over power to an elected government sooner rather than later. Liberal opposition groups have also voiced concerns that between the SCAF and the Islamists their voices have little chance of being heard in the new Egypt.
Please pray for the Israel/ Egypt peace treaty to hold as long as possible

5. Hizbollah planned Mumbai-style attack on Habad Bangkok, Khao San Restaurants   DEBKAfile  Jan 16
   The Thai police's capture of a Lebanese-Swedish Hizballah suspect, who was charged Monday, Jan. 16, thwarted a terrorist attack on Bet Habad in Bangkok, involving the taking of hostages and blowing up the building. It was to have followed the same lines as al Qaeda's 2008 assault on the Mumbai Habad center which killed 8 Israelis and Jews - only more ambitious. The Habad Bangkok is much larger: its hostel has rooms for dozens of lodgers. A second team was to have hit the Khao San Road restaurants popular with Israelis and Americans in a coordinated operation.  This is the first time Western and Israeli agencies have found evidence of the Lebanese Shiite Hizballah using and training operatives in the same terrorist methods as al Qaeda. 
    DEBKAfile's counter-terror sources note that two or possibly three Hizballah cells were to have gone into coordinated action on the same date this month. The only suspect in Thai custody is Atris Hussein, 47, who was arrested as soon as he landed at Bangkok international airport Thursday, Jan. 12.   He first denied association with Hizballah, claiming he was on holiday. Sunday, he broke down under interrogation and admitted he was on a mission to attack Jewish, Israeli and American sites and that explosive materials had been prepared in advance by another Hizballah team, which had pinpointed the targets and was to have briefed the perpetrators.
      Thai authorities believe that each team was made up of two or three members, all carrying European or Persian Gulf emirate passports. Monday, Jan 16, Hussein led the police to an address he received from his Hizballah controllers in Lebanon in the Samut Sakorn province on Bangkok’s outskirts. There they found a cache of 4,000 kilograms of urea fertilizer and 10 gallons of ammonium nitrate, a chemical compound used in explosives.  The materials had not been assembled, indicating the plot was still not quite ready to go.    The terror alerts issued by the US embassy and Israel's Counter-Terror Bureau are still in force.

6. Israeli hackers Bring Down Saud, UAE Websites
  In a fresh round of cyber warfare, Israeli hackers who go by the name of the IDF team, retaliated against the Saudi attack on Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and El Al websites.by bringing down the websites of both the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Tuesday, in the latest episode of a continuing cyber war between hackers in the two countries. The Israeli hackers, who go by the name IDF-Team, were able to paralyze the Tadawul website, while causing significant delays to the ADX exchange site.
  The hackers wrote that the attack came in response to the pathetic hacking of Israeli sites on Monday. The hackers warned that if the attacks continue, they will move to the next stage and paralyze websites for a period of two weeks to a month. Earlier Tuesday, a pro-Israel hacker published a list of 30,000 e-mail addresses and Facebook passwords of "helpless Arabs" on a popular hacking site. The hacker, who goes by Hannibal, wrote that his actions - which began Friday - are a "counter-attack" following the publication of Israeli credit card details on the Internet by a reportedly Saudi hacker.   Hannibal claims to have 30 million e-mail addresses of Arabs, complete with passwords, and to have fielded e-mails not only from potential victims but from officials in France and other countries asking him to desist. But if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declares a cyber war, he's ready to publish the details of 10 million bank accounts, Hannibal wrote, adding that he also had information on 4 million Arab credit cards.

7. PM Netanyahu:  World is Silent Once Again    Israel National News    Jan 26th
     Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu, in a meeting to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, addressed the threats to Israel's existence. He emphasized that 70 years after the Holocaust much of the world remains silent in the face of Iran's declared intent to wipe Israel off the earth. He added that global powers ignore similar bullying by the Hizbullah terrorist group and also Hamas leaders who call for the annihilation of the Jewish state and destruction of Jews wherever they are. He underscored that such threats are coupled with continued murderous activities and said International Holocaust Remembrance Day should be the day the world stands behind the words “never again.” Netanyahu concluded by saying this is a day when countries should unite against weapons of mass destruction falling into the hands of dark regimes, led by the Ayatollah and those empowered by him in Iran. “I send greetings to the leaders of Europe and praise them for the important step of taking sanctions against Iran,” Netanyahu said.
Please pray that the world will realise what is really going on in the Middle East  before it is too late
