David’s Comment: Blow the Shofar (Trumpet) in Zion
Joel 2:15 Blow a trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn gathering.
We are now in the season of the Fall Feasts of YHVH, with Yom ha Truah or the Feast of Shofars (Leviticus 23:23) being celebrated over the last 2 days. I believe there is a strong connection with the Feast of Trumpets and the Rapture that I will share with you this week.
The Feast of Shofar Blowing as the Hebrew calls it, began on Wednesday evening this past week. More commonly the day is referred to as Rosh Ha Shana, the Head of the Year or the New Year. In my desire to be a BC (Biblically Correct) person and not a PC (Politically Correct) person I am not interested in celebrating the New Year at this time. According to the Biblical instruction we are to have a holy convocation on the 1st day of the 7th month. Leviticus 23:24 Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. How can the 1st day of the 7th month be the New Year ? Furthermore the LORD says that Passover time in April is the beginning of the year for Israel – Exodus 12:2 This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. (NKJ) I was never one to follow traditions for the sake of tradition. I would rather follow the instructions and the calendar of the Creator.
I believe that one of the reasons the Feast of Shofar Blowing (Yom ha Truah ) has been celebrated as Rosh Ha Shana for much of the time since the Resurrection of Yeshua, is that the enemy wants to conceal or mask the true relevance of this Holy Feast of the LORD. Concerning these Feasts, most people refer to them as ‘Jewish Feasts’ however in the Scriptures YHVH calls them His Moedim in Hebrew, which is translated as ‘His appointed times’. We believe that the Feasts of YHVH prophetically show the pattern of His plan of redemption for Israel, and for everyone who is grafted into Israel (Romans 11:17) by the Blood of Yeshua, to form the One New Man of Ephesians 2:15. Every major New Testament event thus far, has been precisely fulfilled on a Biblical Feast day. Four of the seven have been fulfilled and there are yet to be fulfilled. The next event we are waiting for is the Rapture, or the catching away of the Body of Messiah, which we believe will occur on Yom ha Truah or the Feast of Shofar blowing
I know there are people out there who do not believe in the Rapture, but I see it clearly in scripture. (1 Thessalonians 4:16) As I wrote above, we and many other Bible teachers who have a degree of understanding about the relevance of the Feasts, believe that the Rapture will occur on the Feast of Trumpets (when you hear the last trumpet – the trumpet of God and the shout of the Arch-angel). We don’ know the year, but I believe we can know the day by knowing about the Feasts. That is why we recommend you do take the time to study the Feasts.of the Lord There are a number of good resources for learning about the Feasts – you can find them through Google or on You Tube.
The simple way to celebrate Yom Ha Truah or the Feast of Shofars is to gather together with family and other Believers for a Holy convocation, thank the Lord for His amazing redemption plan and for sending Yeshua to be our personal Redeemer, and for the soon return of Yeshua to set up the Kingdom of GOD in Jerusalem. Read the Scriptures. pray, blow the Shofar of course, and share some good food together, and most importantly be sure that we are ready, and all who are dear to us are ready, for that awesome Yom ha Truah when YHVH blows His Shofar and we all rise up to meet Yeshua in the air.
Next week we will look at the last two Feasts of the LORD, Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) and Succott, the Feast of Tabernacles.
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom and Hag Samach (Have a Happy Feast) …… David & Josie

5. PM Netanyahu Gives Bold Speech at UN General Assembly World Israel News Sept 21st
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is an accomplished veteran of United Nations General Assemblies, a reliably eloquent orator, whose team devotes immense time and effort to formulating his annual appearances at the global podium. Unlike some of his Israeli prime ministerial predecessors, his English is flawless. He never stumbles over his words. He never mangles those carefully constructed sentences. And so it was on Tuesday, at the Assembly?s 72nd session. The difference, this time, was in the prime minister?s air of assurance. He has never been short of self-belief. But Netanyahu spoke not as the embittered outsider protesting the world body?s history of anti-Israel bias, not as the friendless target of our region?s aggressors, and not as the exasperated lone voice despairing at his peers? refusal to interpret current affairs with his wisdom. Netanyahu spoke, rather, with the ultra-confident mien of a national leader who believes the tide of history is turning toward him and his country. Pray that other world leaders will heed the main points of PM Netanyahu’s speech
6. Shofar Horns from Jacob’ Sheep Ready to Herald the 2nd Coming of Messiah JNN News Sept 15th
For the first time since the Temple stood in Jerusalem, the sounds of shofarot (ram horns) from Jacob?s Sheep were heard in Israel, trumpeting out from the mountains of Naftali, in a powerful chorus that may soon be announcing Messiah in the far corners of the world. A small ceremony was held in Ramot Naftali near the Lebanese border on 10 Sept. 2017 to inaugurate the Jacob?s sheep shofarot. The sheep have not existed in Israel since Biblical times. The breed derives its name from the unique dark spots that correspond to the story of Jacob and Laban. The ceremony was a bittersweet celebration. After struggling many years to overcome bureaucratic hurdles and practical obstacles, Gil and Jenna Lewinsky finally succeeded in bringing their flock of 119 sheep from Canada to Israel last year. Despite succeeding in this daunting task, the couple?s trials were still not over when they landed in Israel. Jacob?s Sheep are unique in that the rams each have four horns from which to make shofarot, rather than just two. After having 34 horns prepared and made into shofarot, the Lewinskys offered them for sale at $500 each. Within 24 hours, every single shofar was purchased. Pray that more of these special horns will be made ready to announce the 2nd coming of Messiah Yeshua
7. Will they Boycotters Buy the New Iphones ? World Israel News Sept 15th
Apple’s trio of new phone models ? iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the ultra-premium iPhone X ? released in honor of iPhone?s 10th anniversary, formed the centerpiece at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California, on Tuesday at Apple?s annual unveiling of its newest and most exciting products. It may not be that surprising to learn that Israeli innovation was behind the success of the iPhone X, as the Jewish state has become a global leader in technology. Apple?s R&D center in Israel is the second-largest in the world. We wonder: Will those who support the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement forgo the iPhone X?
