David’s Comment: The Final Fall Celebration – ‘Simchat Torah’
Psalm 19:7 The TORAH of YHVH is perfect, restoring the soul
We are now in the midst of the final Moed (Feast) of the LORD – Succot or the Feast of Tabernacles. Succot ends at sunset of the 7th day which is Wednesday next week, however the next day is also a Holy festival called Simchat Torah or the Joy of the Torah. Just the name of this festival tells us that the Jewish people who love YHVH have a very different attitude towards the Torah than the majority of Christians have. For almost 2000 years non Jewish believers in the Jewish Messiah (Yeshua / Jesus) have declared “We are not under the law, but we are under grace !” thus rejecting the ‘Maker’s’ Manual for the best life we can enjoy while alive on Planet Earth.
The Greek sighted Church calls it ‘the law’ but the Hebrew word is Torah, which more accurately means ‘instructions’ and King David summed it up nicely when he said in Psalm 19:7 The Torah of YHVH is perfect restoring the soul. And David continues all through Psalm 119, to express the love for the Torah of YHVH, that every person who claims to love GOD ought to also have David’s attitude towards the Torah which is reflected in the Jewish celebration of Simchat Torah. The reason behind this special day is that the annual reading cycle of the Torah scroll has come to its end and the scroll is rolled back to the beginning, and the reading cycle begins again. Not everyone of course, but many of the religious Jews love the Word of GOD so much that to start reading again from Genesis is a cause to rejoice. In every synagogue in Israel and around the world on Simchat Torah, the Torah scroll is taken out and rolled back to the start and is carried around the sanctuary. Many people will reach out to touch the scroll and then kiss their hand that touched the Word of GOD. If this is done only for the sake of tradition, then it just a religious act, but we believe that the majority of Jews who do love the LORD, do this because they really are grateful and appreciative that the Creator of the Universe, the GOD of Israel, had the grace to give us his Torah – instructions to help us live the best life we can while on Earth. I have seen people with tears of joy in their eyes as the Torah scroll is carried around the sanctuary. In Jerusalem on Simchat Torah you will see Orthodox Jewish men carrying the scrolls around and dancing with great joy and fervor.
My point is this – if Jewish people who don’t have the Holy Spirit living inside of them can have the right attitude to the Torah, then why do most Christians want to have nothing to do with it ? Why is it that most non – Jews want to have nothing to do with the Creator’s manual for life ? Do we really believe that YHVH is so gracious that He doesn’t care if His sons and daughters choose to ignore His instructions, many times causing sickness and grief in their lives and the lives of their families ?
If we truly are living in the End Times as many believe, then the Restoration of Israel which must be fufilled before Heaven will release Yeshua to return to Jerusalem, (Acts 3:21), must surely be followed by the Restoration of the ‘Church’ back to the days of signs wonders, and miracles being the ‘norm’ rather than the exception, then now must surely be the time for the appreciation of the Torah to be restored to every Born-again Christian. In fact the Torah is the very essence of the New Covenant – Jeremiah 31:31 behold the days are coming says YHVH, that I will make a New Covenant …….. I will write my Torah in their hearts.
I believe that I am called as a ‘apostolic’ Messianic Levite to be teaching these things to the Nations as an End Time ministry. Isaiah 2:2-3 It shall come to pass in the latter days ……. that the Torah shall go forth from Zion ….
Josie and I, and a steadily growing number of Believers sense that the LORD desires that the entire Body of Messiah would celebrate all of His Moedim, as well as Simchat Torah, in Spirit and in Truth be able to declare along with King David in Psalm 19:7 The TORAH of YHVH is perfect, restoring the soul.

The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom and Hag Samach (Have a Happy Feast) …… David & Josie

1. Trump Govt Rebukes US Ambassdor for Being Too Pro Israel
In another worrying sign that US President Donald Trump might not be as wholly on Israel’s side as some might have hoped, the Trump State Department on Thursday rebuffed its own ambassador to Israel for legitimizing Jewish settlements. Marking the 50th anniversary of Israel’s resettlement of the biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria, US Ambassador David Friedman told the Walla news portal that the “settlements are part of Israel.” Friedman explained that the various UN resolutions upon which the peace process is based never required Israel to surrender the entirety of the territory it liberated from Jordanian occupation in 1967. The Trump State Department’s reaction was both swift and harsh. “I just want to be clear that our policy has not changed,” said State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert, stressing that Friedman’s remarks represent his views along, and should “not be read as a shift in US policy.”
2, Son of Hamas Leader Stuns the UN Human Rights Council Jerusalem Post Sept 27th
Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of Hamas founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef, stunned the Palestinian delegation to the UN Human Rights Council this week when he called out the PA’s human rights abuses of their own people. The PA delegation reacted with shock as Hassan Yousef calls the PA the ?greatest enemy of the Palestinian people,? in a video posted by UNWatch. ?If Israel did not exist, you would have no one to blame,? he declared. Mosab Hassan Yousef ? the ?Green Prince? ? who worked as an Israeli spy, said in the past, ?The Jewish nation is dear to me and when I see nations fighting against the Jewish people it hurts me.? Yousef, the son of Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef, helped the Israel Security Agency thwart attacks from 1997 to 2007. He later wrote an autobiography published in 2010 titled Son of Hamas. He converted to Christianity and fled to the USA where he was granted political asylum. He explained that he was raised to believe that Jews are the enemies of humanity and the Palestinians. However, he continued, that was ?until I came to experience what the Jewish nation is, the true democracy in the ocean of darkness.? Yousef recounted how he had witnessed a Palestinian mother send her five children on suicide attacks and how she would bless each one. The collective mind of society is representing something, an ideology, a culture, a state of consciousness that is stuck in the 6th and 7th centuries in a tribal lust for power, he said. ?We can fool ourselves but there is an Islamic problem,? he continued, going on to mention terrorist groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah and ISIS. ?All of them are killing in the name of Allah,? he said, adding that other religions do not act in such ways. ?Humanity needs to stand against this danger. Islam is a belief system and the world should unify against it just as it did against Nazism. The Jewish people were able to overcome the Holocaust and instead of playing the victim card, built a democratic state, which sets a great example,” concluded Yousef. ?I came from hell,? and ?I love what Israel stands for.? Pray for tens of thousands more Muslims to come to faith in the God of Israel and to become ambassadors for Israel
3. New UNRWA Text Books Demonise Israel & Jewish People Jerusalem Post Oct 2nd
ew schoolbooks used in UNRWA schools in Gaza and in Judea & Samaria display extreme anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiments, according to a study by Dr. Aaron Groiss released last week. According to the Palestinian schoolbooks, Jews have no rights whatsoever in the region but only “greedy ambitions.” The books say that Jews have no holy places there – the Western Wall in Jerusalem, the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, and Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem are all presented as Muslim holy places threatened by Jews. The names “Israel” and “Tel Aviv” do not appear on maps at UNRWA schools. Peace is not advocated in UNRWA schools. Instead, the schoolbooks promote a violent struggle of liberation against Israel. A 2017 text describes a firebomb attack on an Israeli civilian bus as a “barbecue party.” The researcher concludes that UNRWA is contributing to perpetuating the conflict. Pray that the UN breaks away from Muslim control & manipulation

5. PM Netanyahu Supports Annexing Settlements World News Israel Oct 3rd
PM Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday expressed his support for legislation that calls for the incorporation of towns surrounding Jerusalem into the Israeli capital, essentially annexing them in the process.
While visiting the city of Ma?aleh Adumin, which would fall under the purview of the bill, PM Netanyahu again expressed his support for the bill while announcing a massive construction project which includes thousands of housing units in the city. ?Ma?ale Adumim is part of the state of Israel. It will always be part of the state of Israel,? PM Netanyahu declared during a special faction meeting of his Likud party held in the city. ?I support the Greater Jerusalem bill, which will enable Jerusalem and its environs to develop in many aspects. This is important news,? he stated. ? The Greater Jerusalem Law would incorporate Givat Ze?ev to the northwest of Jerusalem, Beitar Illit and the Etzion bloc of communities, situated southwest of Jerusalem, and Ma’aleh Adumim, into Jerusalem?s municipal boundaries ? thus creating a greater metropolitan area and, in effect, annexing 19 Israeli communities, which serve as home to some 150,000 Israelis. The bill also proposes turning Arab villages in the area that lie outside the security barrier into an independent municipality within Greater Jerusalem. PM Netanyahu has previously expressed support for the legislation. Pray that Jerusalem will continue to grow in preparation for the King of Kings to return
6. Ambassador David Friedman Doesn?t Speak for U.S. on ?2%? Settlement Claim INN News September 29, 2017
Israel Ambassador David Friedman?s comments on the West Bank and Israeli settlements do not indicate a change in U.S. policy, a State Department spokeswoman said. Friedman [pictured above] told the Israeli news site Walla on Thursday that Israel was occupying only 2 percent of the West Bank, that the two-state solution ?had lost its meaning? and that settlements are part of Israel. The statements depart from long-standing U.S. policy. The U.S. has opposed settlement building, supported the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside Israel and brokered the 1993 Oslo Accords, under which Israel fully controls 60 percent of the West Bank. President Donald Trump has distanced himself from the policy of previous administrations and has yet to call for a Palestinian state. But on Friday, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert distanced the U.S. from Friedman?s comments. ?His comments should not be read as a way to prejudge the outcome of any negotiations that the U.S. would have with the Israelis and the Palestinians,? she said regarding Friedman. When she was asked to clarify how much of the West Bank is occupied, Nauert said, ?I don?t know that we have a map of that,? though countless maps of the territory are available.
7. 70 Year Old Jewish Man Killed in Arab Village Times of Israel News 4th Oct
A court imposed a gag order on details of a joint police-Shin Bet investigation into the suspected murder of a Jewish man in the Israeli Arab city of Kfar Qassem. Reuven Schmerling, 69, from the West Bank settlement of Elkana, was found lifeless on Wednesday afternoon in the city?s industrial zone with ?signs of violence? on the body, police said. Initial reports indicated he was stabbed; some Hebrew reports said he had also been badly beaten. Schmerling, a father of four, was set to celebrate his 70th birthday on Thursday. He owned a coal business in Kafr Qassem, about a half-hour drive from Elkana. The motive for the suspected murder was still being investigated as the Shin Bet, Israel?s internal security service, joined the probe. Security forces said they were looking at all possible avenues, including a possible work-related row between Schmerling and his workers. The Shin Bet said earlier it was also checking whether the suspected murder was perpetrated for nationalistic reasons. Pray that the murderers are quickly apprehended and dealt with accordingly.
