David’s Comment: A Zulu King Declares the Truth
I received the following report in a post from another ministry a few days ago, but I have lost the original article so I can not quote the source as I normally do.  The writer is from the UK, but his comments referring to Britain and South Africa, are true for most of the Western nations, and the text in brackets is mine.

As Jews everywhere marked their holiest time of the year (Yom Kippur) seeking forgiveness of one another and of God, (and the Feast of Tabernacles), they are experiencing unprecedented hatred around the world. But a Zulu king has come to their defence, challenging the status quo of a South African government apparently steeped in anti-Semitism. At the same time millions of South African Christians, many of whom are strong supporters of Israel, are expected to descend on Pretoria, the country?s administrative capital, to continue praying against corruption and immorality in the nation. As it happens, a call for Christians to prepare and pray for revival is also increasingly being heard even in the UK, regarded now by some as practically virgin territory for the good news of Yeshua, capable not only of transforming individuals and communities, but whole nations too.

All of this is very encouraging, but the South African situation in particular reflects the indelible link I believe exists between Jewish aspirations and revival. The reason we are experiencing such a vicious attack on our Judeo-Christian foundations in the West is because our foundations are Judeo-Christian. The true Christian faith is firmly built upon its Judaic roots, without which it would never have blossomed nor continue to bear fruit. In fact, a church cut off from the nourishing sap of the ?Olive Tree? that is Israel will surely wither and die – Romans 11.17.  So when the Church begins once more to defend the Jewish people, as they should have been doing all along, blessing will start flowing again and revival could well follow as we re-dig the wells of our faithful forefathers like John Wesley, George Whitfield and William Wilberforce.

There is clearly still very too little evidence of this in Britain (and the other Western Nations), but in South Africa, the Zulu king of the Mthethwa tribe, a Christian, has come out in strong support of Israel following a visit to the Jewish state, adding: ?The Jews are not going to suffer under our watch ? We need to begin to vote according to our heritage as Christians.? The Zulus are the country?s largest tribe, thus having great potential for positively influencing the make-up of the South African Parliament, currently led by the anti-Israel African National Congress.  Expressing gratitude for being able to visit Israel on the bi-centenary of a royal ancestor?s death, the King said: ?I understand there are people who have an interest in saying that there is apartheid, but without coming here, they simply feed on the media  ?I came to lend my voice of support that as a believer myself, I can?t keep quiet. I will mobilise Christians all over the world to support, because this place (Israel) is our tangible and intangible heritage site.?

But South Africa?s Christian leaders are realists; they know their country is in trouble. Farmer-evangelist Angus Buchan, who has called for a third It?s Time prayer gathering on October 27 following previous meetings in Bloemfontein and Cape Town attended by a total of nearly two million people, says: ?If God doesn?t intervene in South Africa, we could be on the brink of a civil war.?  Yet prayers answered since the earlier two gatherings include the downfall of an allegedly corrupt President, the strengthening of the currency, the best maize yield in years and one of the wettest winters in many years following a three-year drought in the Western Cape.

But are British Christians serious enough about the need for change here; do we realise how close we are to the abyss? Or are we going to stand by and do nothing while the Jewish people in our midst suffer gross indignities and disgraceful treatment at the hands of our main Opposition party which, in general over the past century, has had a creditable record of governance? The news media has given huge coverage to the ongoing scandal of anti-Semitic tendencies among our leading politicians and many of our Jewish friends are now seriously planning to leave the country ? people who, for generations, have contributed enormously to our national pride and productivity, and without whom we would be sorely bereft.

But our pulpits remain largely silent. Does this not ring alarm bells? Have we still not learnt from history? Will we walk by on the other side of the road, ignoring the wounded victim of robbers, and do nothing? Will we ape the church in Germany which, for the most part, made no protest against Hitler? Why is it that so many of us close our eyes and ears pretending the Jewish cause has nothing to do with us? And yet we owe them everything ? our Bible, our civilization, and Jesus himself, the Jewish Messiah who, in his great mercy, also reached out to us Gentiles as he died to set us free from sin and condemnation – Romans 15.27. As King Mthethwa said: ?It is clear that we need God? and it?s the God of Israel. That is the heritage we have been left with.?

Brothers and sisters, now is not the time to remain silent. It is time to rise up and speak up  – (David’s words and Isaiah 62:6 – 7)
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel.  Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their GOD.  Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.

Shabbat Shalom  …..  David & Josie

2. Israel Neutralise 100 Gaza Bombs   INN News   Sept 29th

The IDF said Saturday that it neutralized over 100 explosives thrown at them by terrorists rioting at the Gaza border the previous day. Over 20,000 Palestinians gathered at five locations along Gaza Strip?s frontier with Israel Friday in response to calls by Hamas, the terrorist group that has controlled Gaza since seizing it from the Palestinian Authority in 2007. Two of the dead were children, aged 12 and 14, the Gaza Health Ministry said, adding that all the dead had gunshot wounds. At least 90 other protesters were wounded by live fire, officials said. At the border fence, protesters burned dozens of tires, using the thick black smoke as a screen to launch rocks and explosives toward Israeli troops stationed on the opposite side of the fence. IDF soldiers responded with tear gas and gunfire. The Israeli military said in a statement that in response to ?over 100 grenades and explosive devices? hurled at troops during the protests, Israeli aircraft carried out two airstrikes on Hamas positions in the Strip. No Israeli casualties were reported. ?IMAGINE: A mob of 20K people, throwing bombs & grenades, attempting to reach your home. Our troops are there to do what is necessary to protect Israeli civilians,? the IDF tweeted on Friday. The next day, the IDF posted photos of bombs and other explosive material found in Israeli territory. Pray that all Hamas weapon stores are discovered and destroyed

3. PM Netanyahu Reveals New Iranian Nuclear Weapons Warehouse    World Israel News    Sept 28th

The international community has not been forthcoming about the true extent of Iran’s nuclear program. That was the message forcefully delivered to the UN General Assembly on Thursday by Prime Minister Netanyahu, who added that no effort to conceal the truth of the matter would escape Israel’s watchful eye. Repeating his new favorite tactic of presenting the world body with visual aids as though they were uneducated school children, Netanyahu held up a picture clearly labeled “Iran’s Secret Atomic Warehouse.” “Iran has not abandoned its goal to develop nuclear weapons,” said Netanyahu, urging the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to “do the right thing. Go and inspect this atomic warehouse immediately, before the Iranians finish cleaning it out.” He warned that “what Iran hides, Israel will find.” And, more than that, Israel will hold the international community accountable for failing to take those findings seriously. Pray that the IAEA and world leaders take an honest stand against the lies of Iran

4. Iran Rushes to Hide Evidence    World Israel News  Sept 30th

After Prime Minister Netanyahu revealed at the UN on Thursday an Iranian site he maintains was used to store nuclear materials, the Iranian regime is reportedly racing to conceal the materials and any evidence that the site ever existed. An Israeli source claimed the Iranian regime is currenty attempting to cover up the site, explaining that the Tehran is currently attempting to disperse the 15 kilograms of radioactive material to which Netanyahu referred in his UN speech. The material was reportedly removed from the site at the beginning of August. On Friday, PM Netanyahu elaborated on his UN revelations in statements to reporters, demanding that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) take action against a regime he says ?deceives and cheats the international community.? According to PM Netanyahu, ?the Iranian plan? involves lying in wait for a ?a crisis somewhere or other? to emerge, after which it will break out its nuclear arsenal.? Whether or not the materials in the warehouse violate the terms of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal remains unknown, however, the senior official added. ?We know there?s radioactive material there. They distributed that radioactive material all around Tehran. Those 15 kilograms are a fact. Why did they go around dispersing it? What happened? The IAEA needs to check.? Pray that the IAEA will have the decency to make an honest investigation

5. Russia Has Deliver S300 Missiles to Syria   World Israel News   Oct 2nd

Russia has completed the delivery of S-300 air defense systems to Syria, the Russian defense minister said Tuesday, despite opposition to the move from the US and Israel. Minister Shoigu said in televised remarks that Russia has delivered four S-300 launchers along with radars and support vehicles. Speaking during a Security Council meeting chaired by President Vladimir Putin, Shoigu said it will take three months to train Syrian personnel to operate the system.  Russia announced the S-300 delivery to Syria after the September 17 downing of a Russian reconnaissance plane by Syrian forces who were responding to an Israeli air strike ? a friendly fire incident that stoked regional tensions. Russia is a key ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad, and its intervention in the civil war, beginning in 2015, turned the tide in his favor. Pray that the Israel military will be able to destroy every missile that is fired at Israeli territory.

6. Israel Deploys More Troops to Gaza Border    Times of Israel News   Oct 3rd

The Israeli military decided to deploy additional troops to the Gaza Strip area on Thursday, following weeks of nightly riots along its security fence. ?It has been decided to send large numbers of reinforcements in the coming days to the Southern Command and to continue the determined policy of thwarting terror attacks and preventing infiltrations into Israel from the Gaza Strip security fence,? the army said in a statement. The army also set up additional Iron Dome air defense batteries in southern Israel as part of the move. Border riots, dubbed the ?Great March of Return,? have increased dramatically in recent weeks. These began as weekly events from late March through the summer, but appeared to slow as the Gaza-ruling Hamas terror group entered indirect talks with Israel aimed at a ceasefire. When those talks stalled, Hamas increased the pace of rioting and demonstrations against Israel, and created new units tasked with sustaining tensions along the border fence including during nighttime and early morning hours. These nightly riots, in which Palestinians regularly throw grenades and improvised explosives at IDF troops, as well as ongoing airborne arson attacks using balloons carrying incendiary devices, have threatened to spark a new large-scale clash between Hamas and the IDF in Gaza. ?The IDF is prepared and ready for a variety of scenarios and sees the Hamas terror group as responsible for everything that happens in the Gaza Strip and that emanates from it,? the army said. Pray that the IDF uses full force against every person who tries to damage the fence or any other Israeli property, soldiers or civilians.

7. Israeli Arab Politicians Call on Bernie Sanders to Fight New Law    World Israel News   Oct 2nd

Israeli Arab Member of Knesset (MK) Zahalka and Adalah director Hassan Jabareen met with US Senator Bernie Sanders and other US lawmakers this past week, asking them to exert pressure on Israel over its recently passed Nation-State Law. Zahalka told Sanders that the law is racist,? constitutes a violation of international law and is ?apartheid.? He called on him to pressure the Israeli government to ?limit its racism.? Jabareen told Sanders that following approval of the law, the legal status of the Israeli Arabs has ?significantly deteriorated.? Adalah (?Justice? in Arabic), funded by the New Israel Fund, is a self-described Arab independent human rights organization. ?The struggle for equality and justice knows no borders and those who fight for such values in the US will fight an anti-democratic, racist and discriminatory law in Israel as well,? Zahalka said. The nation-state law defines Israel as the Jewish state by law and enshrines its unique Jewish character. After the passage of the law in July, Prime Minister Netanyahu explained the significance, noting that ?the State of Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people, but offers full rights to all citizens. This is the meaning of the words ?a Jewish and democratic state.?? Sanders and the US lawmakers reportedly agreed to fight against Israel on the issue. Sanders is a vocal critic of Israel. Pray that the Israeli government pays no attention to these men who are just anti Israel troublemakers.
