David’s Comment: Another Gaza War is in the Wind (see news item # 5) u
August and early September saw a noticable reduction in Hamas inspired violence at the Israel border with Gaza. The number of rioters at the border decreased as the weeks rolled on, and the number of fire balloons and fire kites also signicantly decreased. It was even being reported that Hamas was engaged in some form of third party negotiations with Israel to bring about a long term pease agreement.
Even over the time of the recent Feast celebrations the Gaza border was relatively quiet. However that time of quiet seems to have come to an end. Over the last 2 weeks, Hamas threatened a new wave of violence and their were true to their word. There has been a dramatic return to the levels of violence and unrest that was occurring every Friday and Saturday several months ago, including fire balloons and other dangerous projectiles. There have been several penetrations of the security fence with a number of terrorists getting into Israeli territory for a short time, before being driven back by Israeli soldiers. The increase so great that the government and military leadership made the decision to increase the number of army and military personnel in all areas that are potential places of trouble. As the situation on the border deteriorates the number of Gazan’s being injured or killed increases, which in turn produces more unrest and violence amount the people of Gaza. As can be expected, the Fake News people focus on the actions of the Israeli soldiers and make Israel look bad in the eyes of the world. But the truth is that the blame for all injury, death and damage lies at the foot of the Hamas terror organisation. The violence has also spilled out into the West Bank with 2 innocent Israelis being shot dead on Sunday morning. One was a young mother with a new baby and the other a 35 year old father of 3 young children.
Most Israelis have had enough of the violence against innocent people and are expecting the government of PM Netanyahu to do much more than he is at present, and to spare no effort to put a stop to it. The key to understanding what is really going on in Gaza, the West Bank, and on the northern border, is to realise that it is Satan working in the spiritual realm, in a desperate last minute attempt to prevent the second coming of Messiah, by removing Israel from the world scene. Several years ago I wrote a comment with the title No Israel = No Second Coming of Messiah. l still believe that is true based on Acts 3:21 which very clearly says that Yeshua must remain in Heaven until the restoration of Israel is complete. Yeshua himself said to the Jews in Jerusalem in Matthew 23:39 You won’t see me again until you say Baruch ha Bah B Shem Adonai. Understanding what I have written above, it should be very clear that Satan has not, and will never give up trying to destroy Israel by any way possible. The next Gaza war and maybe several wars before the Gog and Magog war of Ezekiel chapter 38 must take place and thus are inevitable. We can not pray them away, nor should we even try, but we can pray that injury, death and destruction will be kept to a minimum, and that all of our family and friends will accept the Blood of Yeshua and enter the Kingdom before it is too late.
Please continue to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) – That means to pray the prophecies concerning Israel’s full restoration, physical and spiritual, so that the Prince of Peace, Yeshua can be released from Heaven to return to rule the World from the new Temple in Jerusalem .
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their GOD. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom ….. David & Josie

1. PA Terrorist Murders 2 Israelis at Business Park Israel Today News Oct 7th
The Barkan Industrial Park in the so-called “West Bank” is a reminder of the coexistence that existed between Israelis and Palestinians prior to the current peace process, and continues to exist in isolated areas in spite of that same peace process. For that reason, the Palestinian terrorist groups that would rather see Israel eliminated than peacefully coexist with it are vehemently opposed to the success of places like this. The businesses operated at the Barkan Industrial Park employ a total of around 7,000 workers, half of them Israeli Jews and the other half Palestinian Arabs. And all these workers get along just fine, because they know that their economic well-being relies on doing so. But the peace was shattered on Sunday morning when a 23-year-old Palestinian Arab man entered one of the local factories and opened fire on the workers there. Two people were killed and another wounded. The terrorist managed to flee the scene, but was recorded by security cameras. Israeli security forces immediately launched a massive manhunt throughout the region of Samaria. Hamas and Islamic Jihad, two of the aforementioned groups opposed to peace with Israel, celebrated the deadly shooting. “The Hamas movement and the Palestinian people everywhere praise the heroic operation near the Ariel settlement,” read a statement released by the group. “We applaud this heroic operation and affirm that it comes as a natural response to the Israeli occupation?s crimes at the expense of the Palestinian people.” The Islamic Jihad added: “We praise this martyrdom operation and affirm that settlements are a legitimate target for resistance fighters and revolutionaries. We call on our proud people in Jerusalem, the West Bank and elsewhere to rise up in the face of settlement terrorism until the West Bank is liberated from settlements and settlers.” Neither group bothered to acknowledge that the targeted “settlement” employs thousands of Palestinian Arabs who would otherwise likely be victims of the rampant unemployment that characterizes life under the Palestinian Authority. Pray that the terrorist is apprehended an dealt with in the strongest way possible
2. Mother of Terror Victim: What Are We to Tell the Children ?
Iris Hajbi, mother of Ziv Hajbi, who was murdered in the shooting attack in the Barkan industrial zone, called for a death sentence for the terrorist who murdered her son after he was caught. Ziv, who worked for the Alon company for two years, was supposed to celebrate his 35th birthday this Saturday. “My son went out to work. He did not go to war. The bereaved mother added: “I will bury him at the age of 35. What have I done wrong in my life? He’s leaving little children behind, 7-year-old twins, a 4 and a half-year-old boy. What is their mother supposed to tell them? These are children who are connected to their father, small children who are attached to their father.” Pray that Yeshua reveals Himself to the families of the victims.
3. USA to Supply Israel Additional F35 Fighter Jets Israel News Report October 7th
President Trump has ordered additional F-35 stealth planes supplied forthwith to Israel, in response to the four S-300 air defence batteries Russia has sent Syria and its upgrade of electronic warfare measures. The decision was taken, our sources reveal, after consultations between Washington and Jerusalem at the highest administration and military levels on the enhanced threat the recent Russian steps presented to Israeli air operations against Iranian targets in Syria. The F-35s will be drawn from US Air Force?s active service squadrons, just as the S-300s for Syria came from Russia?s operational air defence missile stocks. In addition to informing Prime Minister Netanyahu of the president?s decision, Washington also notified the two Gulf crown princes of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, that the first US F-35 squadron in this region will be posted shortly at the Al Dhafra Air base 32km south of Abu Dhabi. Reliable military sources take this massive transfer of advanced US stealth planes to the Middle East and the Persian Gulf to betoken US and Israel?s determination to maintain Israeli Air Force?s operations over Syria, notwithstanding the presence of the S-300s and boosted Russian-Syrian air defence capabilities. It was this determination that prompted Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister to comment on Thursday, October 4, that he hoped ?Tel Aviv will exercise good judgement in the region despite Israel?s insistence on not abandoning operations in Syria and Russia?s S-300 supply to Syria.? He was in fact conveying a warning to Israel not to attack the Russian S-300 batteries. Pray that Israel will be fully armed and prepared to secure roo1a victory in the event of a conflict.
4. Thousands Riot on Gaza Border Times of Israel News Oct 9th
Thousands of Gazans demonstrated on land and at sea along the Gaza Strip?s border with Israel Monday, with 29 people being injured in the riots, either by Israeli troops or by shrapnel from Palestinian bombs. Near Zikim beach, south of Ashkelon, thousands of rioters threw explosives and rocks at the Israeli soldiers on the other side of the security fence, the army said. Protesters also set fire to tires along the fence, filling the air with thick black smoke. Some sabotaged part of the fence, removing pieces of it. A small number cut through the barrier and started a fire in an empty Israeli army sniper nest, before rushing back into the Strip. Israeli soldiers responded with tear gas and live fire in certain cases, the military said. Meanwhile, dozens of boats challenged the Israeli blockade and were intercepted by Israeli Navy boats. Pray that the people of Gaza wake up and realise that they are being manipulated by Hamas and placing their lives in danger.
5. PM Netanyah: “Prepare for War” Israel Today News Oct 9th
On Sunday, Prime Minister Netanyahu told his cabinet the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were preparing for war against Hamas and other Iranian-backed terror organisations in the Gaza Strip. According to the Israeli news show Hadeshot Netanyahu told his ministers that in light of the attempt by the Palestinian Authority to “choke” Hamas in Gaza it was far from certain civil distress in the coastal enclave would diminish. ?We are preparing militarily ? that is not an empty statement,? Netanyahu warned. Last week, the IDF already sent reinforcements to the border with Gaza and started to use drones to shoot down incendiary balloons and kites which have already caused an ecological disaster in southern Israel and killed livestock. Israel, furthermore, curtailed the fishing zone off-coast in Gaza from 9 to 6 nautical miles and at the same time allowed Qatar to step in to alleviate the ever worsening humanitarian crisis in the coastal enclave. Pray that the next war in Gaza will be delayed as long as possible and that Hamas will be cast out of Gaza, liberating the people who they oppress.

7. Ancient Column Bearing the Name ‘Jerusalem’ Now on Display Times of Israel News Oct 9th
The earliest stone inscription bearing the full spelling of the modern Hebrew word for Jerusalem was unveiled on Tuesday at the Israel Museum, in the capital. While any inscription dating from the Second Temple period is of note, the 2,000-year-old three-line inscription on a waist-high column ? reading ?Hananiah son of Dodalos of Jerusalem? ? is exceptional, as it is the first known stone carving of the word ?Yerushalayim,? which is how the Israeli capital?s name is pronounced in Hebrew today. The stone column was discovered earlier this year at a salvage excavation of a massive Hasmonean Period Jewish artisans? village near the Jerusalem International Convention Center, at what is now the entrance to the modern city, by an Israel Antiquities Authority team. The 80 cm. high column has a diameter of 47.5 cm, said Levi, and would have originally been used in a Jewish craftsman?s building. It presumably belonged to or was built with money from Hananiah son of Dodalos. Pray that more ancient artifacts proving that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel 2000 years before the rebirth of Israel are discovered.
