David’s Comment: Pittsburg Synagogue Attack – A Reality Check for Jews and for Christians
Ezekiel 36: 8 -10  O mountains of Israel, shoot forth your branches and bring forth your fruit, for my people are about to come. I will bring ALL of the House of Israel, ALL of it  ……..

This week’s comment is inspired by the tragic deaths of 11 Jewish worshippers at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburg last Shabbat. I was deeply impacted by the breaking news of the worst act of Anti-Semitism in the history of the United States, a nation which has been a ‘safe haven’ for Jews since they began immigrating there more than 200 years ago. The shocking news of the attack broke just as I was heading out to speak at a Messianic congregation in Calgary, Canada, and I new what I needed to say to the Messianic Jews in the meeting, and also the non-Jewish Believers who were there, and I sense that I must repeat, as best I can, what I said in my message last Shabbat. I sensed the Holy Spirit tell me to call the message “Reality Check”

For the Jewish people living in the nations, the Pittsburg massacre should be a Reality Check and a major wake up call to prepare to make Aliyah (return to the land covenanted to them by YHVH.) The Jewish people are living in the nations as a result of being exiled by GOD because of their disobedience, and according to Ezekiel 39:28-29 should see themselves as ‘captives in a foreign land’.) They should be as grieved as the Jews were during the time that they were captives in Babylon 580 years before Yeshua was born. When asked to sing the songs of Zion by their captors, they sat down and wept and cried out “how can we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land.” (Psalm 137).

The LORD heard their cry and sent Ezekiel to prophecy their liberation and return to Israel (Ezekiel 36 & 37). Forty years after the death and resurrection of Yeshua, the Jewish people began to be exiled once more, this time to the very ends of the Earth, as prophecied in Deuteronomy 28:64. This 2nd exile lasted for almost 2000 years, but YHVH had not forgotten His people and He had a plan to restore His land and to restore His peopel to the land – Psalm 102:13 For YHVH will arise and have mercy on ZIon, for the time, the set time has come. As the 20th century dawned the LORD sent the Zionists in Europe to regather His people. Some responded and some made their way back to the Promised Land, but most were unwilling to leave their comfortable European lifestyle and as a result 6.5 million Jewish mean, women and children perished in the Holocaust. After the horrific death toll of the Holocaust, many of the survivors came home, but for those who perished it was too late.

For the last several years we have seen a dramatic increase in the level of anti-Semitism. In France a number of Jews have lost their lives in acts of anti-Semitic terror, and now 11 have been murdered in the USA, the nation they thought was a ‘safe haven.’ We believe that the Devil is once again planning to destroy the Jews to stop the 2nd coming of Messiah (see last week’s comment) and this time it is international. Jewish people are NOT safe anywhere, even in Israel to be fair, but they are safer in Israel than anywhere else in the world. So if you are Jewish and reading this article, it is time to come home. Watch this video  – Josie and I are here to help you however we can so please feel free to contact us for advise before you start the Aliyah process. Josie has written an article called Aliyah – Now is the Time. You can write to us and we will send it to you.

The Pittsburg massacre should come as a Reality Check or wake up call to every Bible Believing Christian. You are called to help the Jewish people get home Isaiah 49:22 Thus says YHVH, “I will raise up my hands in an oath to the nations, they shall bring my sons in their arms and my daughters on their shoulders.”  Josie has a list of 84 Bible verses that speak about the return of the Jews to the land of Israel. According to Acts 3:21, this must happen before Yeshua can return. Many Christians are saying “Maranatha” but when was the last time you heard a message on Sunday morning about the Jews returning to Israel. I received an article just yesterday by a non-Jewish journalist Charles Gardiner – he finished the article by writing …. Jewish restoration is the great sign to the Gentile world of Jesus? soon return. (Isaiah 49.22) ?The return of Israel to the Land is the biggest prophetic event since the coming of Messiah; it loudly and clearly heralds his return, but many in the Church are not listening.?

Wake up Jewish people and come home !!!  Wake up Church and make Aliyah a priority in the way you serve the LORD !!!  Again Josie and I are here to assist and advise.

The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel.  Please pray that Israel will turn back to their GOD. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Please also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.

Shabbat Shalom  …..  David & Josie

Officials released the names of all 11 of the dead, all of them middle-aged or elderly. The victims included intellectually disabled brothers and a husband and wife. The youngest was 54, and the oldest was 97. As authorities worked to piece together Bowers? background and movements, harrowing accounts from the survivors began to emerge. 2. Israeli Air Force Bombs 80 Hamas Targets After Renewed Rocket Attack   Times of Israel News   Oct 27th

Islamic Jihad took responsibility for the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip overnight Saturday and threatened further launches, as the Israeli military accused the Gaa terror group of carrying out the attacks on behalf of Iran and Syria. Though the Israel Defense Forces did not accuse Hamas of taking part in the rocket fire, it reiterated that it considers the terror group responsible as Gaza?s rulers. ?We also view the regime in Syria and the Iranian Quds Force as the address for the incidents,? An IDF spokesman said, referring to the overseas branch of Iran?s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. ?We sent clear messages in this spirit to those who need it and no one is immune, neither in the Strip or outside it,? he added. Minutes after the IDF statement, a series of warning sirens were heard throughout communities in southern Israel. The army said five rockets were fired from Gaza in salvos, four of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-missile system. In response, the military said Israeli fighter jets carried out airstrikes on eight Islamic Jihad targets in three separate military facilities, including weapons production sites and a factory that makes parts for subterranean tunnels.
The rocket launches and retaliatory airstrikes came over an hour after Iron Dome interceptors destroyed another rocket launched from Gaza. Israel’s Defense Minister was set to meet with the IDF Chief of Staff and other top security officials at military headquarters in Tel Aviv for a situational assessment, his office said. The Israeli military carried out extensive air strikes in the Gaza Strip Friday night, striking around 80 terror targets in the enclave, after a night in which around 30 rockets were launched across the border, sending thousands of Israelis into shelters.
Pray that the violence comes to an end and that people on both sides of the conflict can live in peace.

3. Six Killed in Border Violence  Times of Israel News   Oct 27th

One Arab was killed on Friday during clashes with troops in the central West Bank, the local health ministry said. Eight others were injured in the clashes. Two of them were in a serious condition including a man who was shot in the head. Israel said three border police officers were lightly injured dispersing a ?violent riot? northwest of Ramallah. A statement from police said hundreds of rioters s set off fireworks and hurled rocks at Israeli troops, who ?responded with riot dispersal means, and fired in accordance with standard operation procedures.? `The clashes broke out when Israeli settlers came to visit a site near the village and locals threw stones at them. The West Bank has seen a rise in tensions in recent weeks. Earlier this month, a terrorist shot dead two Israeli colleagues at an industrial zone adjacent to a settlement in the northern West Bank. The suspect remains on the run. On Monday, a terrorist stabbed and wounded an Israeli soldier in the city of Hebron before being shot dead by troops. Friday saw a deadly flare up in violence along the Gaza border. Thousands of rioters gathered at five locations along the border, burning tires and throwing rocks and firebombs at Israeli troops who responded with tear gas and occasional live fire. Five protesters were killed and another 170 were injured in the clashes with IDF troops, the Hamas spokesman in Gaza said. One of them was killed when a hand grenade he was holding exploded prematurely. Pray that the violence comes to an end and that people on both sides of the conflict can live in peace.

4. PM Netanyahu Makes Historic Visit to Oman   Times of Israel News Oct 27th

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a secret visit to the Gulf nation of Oman on Friday ? the first by an Israeli leader in over two decades, and a sign of warming ties between the Jewish state and the Sunni Arab world. On Friday afternoon, his office surprisingly announced that Netanyahu and his wife Sara had just returned from an ?official diplomatic visit? to Muscat, during which they met with Sultan Qaboos bin Said. ?The Prime Minister?s visit is a significant step in implementing the policy outlined by Prime Minister Netanyahu on deepening relations with the states of the region while leveraging Israel?s advantages in security, technology and economic matters.” The last visit by an Israeli leader to Oman took place in 1996, when Shimon Peres visited. The Netanyahus were invited to Oman by the sultan, who has been ruling the Gulf state since 1970, ?after lengthy contacts between the two countries.” A joint statement issued by Jerusalem and Muscat said the two leaders discussed ?ways to advance the peace process in the Middle East as well as several matters of joint interest regarding the achievement of peace and stability in the Middle East.? Pray that more Arab countries will seek to have good relations with Israel

5. P.A Votes to End Recognition of Israel   World Israel News   Oct 30th

The Palestinian Central Council voted to suspend its recognition of the State of Israel until Israel recognizes a Palestinian state in the 1967 borders. The council made the decision Monday night after a two-day meeting in Ramallah. ?We recognize the right to resist the occupation in all methods that comply with international law,? the Palestinian Central Council said. The Council, which is the policy making body of the Palestine Liberation Organization, (PLO) urged Palestinian Authority leqder Abbas to follow its ruling, which also called for cutting all ties with Israel, including security and economic cooperation. The decision itself is non-binding, requiring the approval of another committee before reaching Abbas?s desk. It follows a similar declaration made in January, 2018, a reaction to U.S. President Donald Trump?s December announcement to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. Lets give thanks to GOD for this good news and pray that they implement it, thus killing the fake peace process for good.

6. Iran Hit by Most Powerful Computer Virus  Times of israel News   Oct 31st

Iranian infrastructure and strategic networks have come under attack in the last few days by a computer virus similar to Stuxnet but ?more violent, more advanced and more sophisticated,? and Israeli officials are refusing to discuss what role, if any, they may have had in the operation, an Israeli TV report said Wednesday. The report came hours after Israel said its Mossad intelligence agency had thwarted an Iranian murder plot in Denmark, and two days after Iran acknowledged that President Rouhani?s mobile phone had been bugged. It also follows a string of Israeli intelligence coups against Iran, including the extraction from Tehran in January by the Mossad of the contents of a vast archive documenting Iran?s nuclear weapons program, and the detailing by Prime Minister Netanyahu in September of other alleged Iranian nuclear and missile assets inside Iran, in Syria and in Lebanon. ?Remember Stuxnet, the virus that penetrated the computers of the Iranian nuclear industry?? the report on Israel?s Hadashot news asked. Iran ?has admitted in the past few days that it is again facing a similar attack, from a more violent, more advanced and more sophisticated virus than before, that has hit infrastructure and strategic networks.? The Iranians, the TV report went on, are ?not admitting, of course, how much damage has been caused. Pray that Iran continues to suffer such attacks that set back its evil plans

7. Israel Prospers in Spite of Rise in Gaza Violence   United With Israel   Oct 26th

Israel has sustained a ?sharp increase? in violence in the past few months at its borders, including two deadly terror attacks in the Barkan Industrial Park and Gush Etzion, as well as a number of  attempts to stab Israeli soldiers, according to a report by the Ministry of Strategic Affairs and Public Diplomacy. Between the months of September to October, encouraged by both Hamas and P.A. leader Mahmoud Abbas, ‘Palestinian leadership continues to publicize support for Terrorism, and have praised the recent attacks, even calling on Arabs to launch a third intifada. Meanwhile, Israel?s economy gets stronger by the day, its tourism sector is booming, and its start-ups continue to break records and revolutionize the tech world. On the flip side, terrorists were called upon to conduct suicide attacks in Judea and Samaria amid the 25-year anniversary of the Oslo Accords. They are also attempting to organize a BDS campaign of the Eurovision Song Contest set to be held in Tel Aviv in May 2019. ?The various Arab factions, led by Fatah and Hamas, are constantly working to undermine Israel?s standing in the world and to promote boycotts against the Jewish state,? said the Minister of Strategic Affairs. ?This behavior reveals that they have not abandoned their dream of destroying Israel.? Pray that Israel will continue to prosper and those who scheme to do harm will suffer what they intend for Israel
