David’s Comment: Back to Biblical Basics Pt. 4 The ‘Trinity’
In part 4 of this series we will look at The Trinity ? This subject is closely connected to last weeks issue about the identity of Yeshua (Jesus)
The issue of the Trinity has been a very divisive subject in the Body of Messiah for a very long time. As well as being a controversial issue for the Christian world, the concept of a Triune God is a problem for Jewish people. From childhood we learn to recite the Shema, which is the foundation Jewish decaration of faith. “Shema Yisrael, Adonai Elohienu, Adonai Echad” – “Hear O Israel, YHVH our God is One God.” Because of the way much of the Church has communicated the Trinity, most Jews think that Christians worship 3 Gods.
it is important to realise that the word Trinity is not in the Bible. However several scriptures point to the fact that God seems to have more than one manifestation. The strongest evidence of more than One eternal being is in Isaiah 48:12-16 (1st person speaking) “Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel, My called: I am He, I am the First, I am also the Last. Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and My right hand has stretched out the heavens; when I call to them, they stand up together. (1st person still speaking) I, even I, have spoken; yes, I have called him, I have brought him, and his way will prosper. 1st person still speaking) “Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord GOD 2nd person = YHVH the Father) and His Spirit (3rd person ) have sent Me.” 1st person still speaking) Seems to me that the I and the Me is Yeshua
My opinion is that the above scripture and others support the existence of a Triune God or three person God Head, please note the word Godhead is the Englsih translation of the Aramaic / Hebew word Elohim.
But that begs the following questions ………..
1/ Are the 3 Eternal Entities different manifestations of the same being ?
2/ Are the 3 Eternal Entities independant individuals ?
3/ Are the 3 Eternal Entities really persons as we understand that word to mean ?
The quick and easy answer to these questions is …….. God knows – in fact only God knows – we mere mortals can only speculate as to the makeup of God.
And speculate we may, but we should not break fellowship with other Believers over this issue as NO ONE can be sure he or she is right
So lets stay in fellowship with those whose opinions differ from ours and lets get on with the real task at hand ……….. make disciples of Yeshua in every nation

The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.

1. Israel Attacks Another Syrian Weapons Depot
The Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked and destroyed a weapons storage facility in the Syrian city of Homs on Wednesday night, Arab media reported. The Syria Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that violent explosions shook the city, and that the strikes were executed against a military establishment. The London-based SOHR quotes sources that say that the facility was a rocket depot. It is not known whether these rockets belonged to the Lebanese Hezbollah terror group or the Assad regime. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported strong blasts were heard inside Lebanon, caused by Israeli airstrikes in Syria. The Syrian army responded with a surface-to-air missile that it fired towards the raiding Israeli fighter jets, Israel has conducted strikes against Syrian targets from Lebanese airspace in the past, thus avoiding the Russian air defense system deployed in Syria. There is currently no information on casualties. Neither Israeli nor Syrian or Hezbollah officials have confirmed the reports. Hezbollah has been working hard to arm itself with advanced weapons. Israel has stated repeatedly that it will not allow the terror organization to acquire advanced weaponry, which would threaten the country and compromise the IDF’s capability to maneuver in Lebanon in the event of another war. PM Netanyahu has confirmed in the past that Israel carried out several attacks against Hezbollah to prevent the group from obtaining advanced weapons. Pray the Israel always succeeds in knocking out all potential threats to her security.
2. Israel Hit Again From Syria Israel Today News Nov 3rd
Israel has in recent years carried out numerous targeted strikes against Hezbollah targets in the context of Syria’s ongoing civil war. But the Jewish state has been careful to avoid actually being pulled into the conflagration – Until now. Israeli military leaders on Friday vowed to intervene in defense of the Syrian Druze village of Hader, which lies a short distance over the border in the Golan Heights. Hader has been aligned with the regime of Syrian dictator Bashar Assad (the Druze are typically loyal to whichever party is in power), making it a target for all of the various rebel and Islamist groups participating in Syria’s civil war. Earlier in the day, Hader was attacked by a suicide bomber from the jihadist group Al Nusra. Nine people were killed and another 23 injured. An IDF Brigadier General announced that the Israeli army was prepared to “prevent Hader from being harmed or occupied as part of our commitment to the Druze population.” Such a commitment could very quickly bring Israeli forces into direct conflict with Al Nusra and other rebel groups. The decision came just hours after a Druze resident of northern Israel was hit by stray gunfire from Syria. The victim is in stable condition. The Druze residents of Israel consider themselves blood-brothers of the Jewish majority. Pray that this threatened action does not become necessary
3. British PM Refuses to Apologise for Balfour Declaration INN News Nov 5th
British Prime Minister Theresa May has ruled out the idea that Britain would apologize for the 1917 Balfour Declaration, which proclaimed Britain’s support for the establishment of a Jewish national home in then-Palestine. Speaking at a celebratory dinner to mark the centenary of the Balfour Declaration in London, May said that that the British government was proud to support Israel. PM Netanyahu and the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, were in attendance. In her remarks, PM May noted that Balfour wrote explicitly that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.’ So when some people suggest we should apologize for this letter, I say absolutely not, she continued. We are proud to stand here today together with PM Netanyahu and declare our support for Israel. And we are proud of the relationship we have built with Israel.” May also stressed that Britain remains absolutely committed to Israel’s security and will always support Israel’s right to defend itself. Pray that PM May stands strong against Muslim pressure and that the LORD protects her position as PM
4. Former Hamas Leader: “We Will Trample Balfour Declaration Arutz 7 News Nov 5th
Former Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal vowed that the Palestinian Arabs will forcefully cancel the 1917 Balfour Declaration, which proclaimed Britain’s support for the establishment of a Jewish national home in then-Palestine. Mashaal attacked Britain for boasting of the “crime” of the Balfour Declaration instead of apologizing for this “mistake” and correcting it. We do not expect them to correct history, he said, adding, “We will take the initiative into our own hands and correct history and the Palestinian people and the fighters will trample the Balfour Declaration with their feet. In a defiant tone, Mashaal then said “crime” would forever be a mark of Cain on its forehead. Palestinian Arab organizations have for months been waging a campaign aimed at forcing Britain to apologize for the document. On 1 Nov. 2017, the Palestinian Authority government in Ramallah demanded not just a British apology for the document, but also compensation. British PM Theresa May outright rejected the calls for Britain to apologize. Pray that Britain will not be manipulated by the Muslim threats
5. Arab Workers Attack Jewish Pre-School Israel Today News Nov 6th
Despite an influx of foreign aid dwarfing the per-capita investments in post-World War II Europe, the Palestinian Authority have failed to create jobs for its people. Israel has sought to alleviate the pressure that unemployment brings by allowing large numbers of Palestinian Arabs to enter its sovereign territory each day to work in construction. Of course, that policy carries with it a security risk. On Sunday, it was demonstrated how such gestures of goodwill can sometimes backfire. Fortunately, this time, it was without tragic consequences. Some 100 Jewish children had to be urgently evacuated from their preschool in the Tel Aviv suburb of Givatayim when Arab construction workers at an adjacent building site began hurling stones. The children were all inside the preschool at the time, which is why no one was injured. A school staff member witnessed the attack when she went to the kitchen and saw the construction workers throwing rocks and cursing the Jews inside. Kikar Hashabat reports that police were called to the scene, and arrested two of the Arabs involved. The perpetrators were later released on bail with a restraining order. Pray that these Arab workers value their wages and have the sense not to cause trouble and lose their jobs.
6. Expert: World Pretends Not to See Iran’s Nuclear Program Ariel ben Solomon JNS.org Nov 8th
While Iran disregards both the spirit and the letter of the nuclear accord, the international community denies reality, experts say. Earlier this year, President Donald Trump said that Iran was violating the spirit of its nuclear deal with the P5+1 powers. Now, it is clear that the Islamic Republic is disregarding the letter of the accord, but the international community is ignoring and denying that reality, experts say. It is mind-boggling that the violations are occurring in the open and all the parties to the agreement are pretending not to see it, and instead are dealing with issues that are important, but are not connected to the the nuclear deal, said Yigal Carmon, president and founder of the Middle East Media Research Institute. In mid-October, Trump announced his refusal to recertify Iran’s compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal. Yukiya Amano, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the nuclear watchdog of the United Nations, is campaigning to counter Trump’s objections to the agreement. On Nov. 7, Amano told the Financial Times that nuclear inspectors have accessed Iranian military sites and that the agency has had access to all the locations that we needed to visit. Yet Iran itself has rejected the U.S. demand for inspectors to visit its military bases. Pray that the world wakes up tp the deceptions of the Iranians and the mythical ‘Palestinaians.’
7. Israel Tourism Passes 3000 Mark Israel Today News Nov 9th
Israel has had a record year for tourism. And on Tuesday, Prime Minister Netanyahu showed his appreciation by surprising tourist number 3 million to arrive in 2017 with a personal welcome to the Jewish state. Ioana Isac, 31, and her partner, Mihai Georgescu, suspected nothing as they arrived at Ben Gurion Airport from their native Romania. As the couple passed into the arrivals hall, they were greeted by an incredible scene: flowers, balloons, a red carpet and Tourism Minister Yariv Levin, who promptly whisked them away in a limousine to meet with Netanyahu at the Tower of David museum in the Old City of Jerusalem. Netanyahu gave the couple a personal tour, as well as conveying the appreciation of all Israelis, whose economy leans so heavily on incoming tourism. Isac and Georgescu were also given an upgrade hotel suite, a deluxe visit to the Dead Sea, a helicopter tour of Israel and a private dinner with famed Israeli chef Nir Tzuk.
