Josie’s Comment: Rain, Butterflies and Aliyah (Return to Israel) Leviticus 23:4 “I will give you the rains in their season and the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit. Your threshing will continue until the grape harvest, and the grape harvest will continue until sowing time. You will have your fill of food to eat and dwell securely in the land?. T
The best time of the year has arrived in Israel – Spring! The prettiest and most attractive time of the year with all the wildlife revealing its beauty, fragrances and activity in the fields, mountaintops, valleys and in the air. This year we had a phenomenon in Israel. We had over 700 million butterflies visit Israel in just one day. This is the largest migration seen in Israel each year. The reason is that a monumental amount of the rain of heaven fell in this region during the recent winter months. These butterflies emerged from the Saudi peninsula/Kuwait area. They also had heavy rainfall which created more worms and those worms of course became butterflies. They were not just any butterfly, but the prettiest ones.. The ?Painted Lady? (Monarch) butterflies. These butterflies definately reveal the Great Artist above all Artists handiwork, with their detailed patterns and colors. When Spring arrived, the butterflies awoke and were ready to fly out on their migration tour. They instinctively stopped in Israel, to eat, on their way to northern Europe.
The massive amounts of rainfall we had in Israel this winter created much more wildlife (wild flowers) than usual. The butterflies came in like a plague, but a good plague, to eat the nectar from the thousands extra of wild flowers carpeting the land. This rich nectar would give them the energy or ?fuel? to carry them on their journey of migration. They also pollinated for the next generation. It was a sight to behold. God was displaying His beauty of creation en mass! Why am I writing this. Firstly because it was so exciting to experience and see this, but secondly, I saw a spiritual, prophetic picture for intercession. It seems God is in the business of giving increase in several sectors. We saw the increase in volumes of rain this winter. Then we saw the increase of wildlife and then this increased migration. We see the increase in tourism to Israel. Increase of a half a million each year. Statistically it is documented that when there is massive amounts of rain in Israel, it is connected with a massive increase in Aliyah.
Let us pray that this summer, the most popular time for Aliyah (return of the Jewish people back to their homeland) during the months of July and August will also be the largest and biggest, since the last exodus and mass Aliyah in the 90?s, during which time one million Jews made Aliyah the former Soviet Union in 10 years. Almost one thousand a day were returning to the Land that God had promised and given to their forefathers. If Israel is attractive enough for the butterflies to come and eat and visit, and enjoy, and all the tourists that flock and stream here every year, then its good enough for every Jew to come back and reside here, and live in the land of the living (resurrected) and see the goodness of the Lord God of our forefathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob ! In light of the latest attack at the synogogue in San Deigo and the fact that Yeshua will not return until the Jewish people are home in Eretz Yisrael (Acts 3:21 – Exekiel 36:8 – 10) C?mon Jewish people still in the nations – time to come home. And c’mon Church raise the level of prayer and intercession for the return and salvation of the Jewish people.
- Pray that the God given instinct in Jewish people around the world will be awakened, just like the butterflies, not to migrate (come for a temporary visit), but immigrate in a permanent return to settle, root and be established in this land, and eat from the good of the land, physically and spiritually, and to dwell securely.
- Pray that this summer will be the largest increase Israel has seen, not just in Aliyah, but what the land will produce from the vegetation because of the rain saturated soil, what Israel will produce in medicine, technology, agriculture, irrigation, and pray for spiritual increase/ salvations.
- Pray for the spiritual rains of revival this year to be the largest harvest seen in a while..
- Pray for those that come back will be fruitful (multiply) “pollenate” the next generation.
Exodus 1:7 “But the Israelites were fruitful and increased abundantly, they multiplied and became exceedingly strong, so that the land was filled with them”.
Isaiah 27:6 “In the days to come, Jacob (Israel) will take root. Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole world with fruit (everyday Israel sends out plane loads of fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices and herbs to the world“.
Deuteronomy 30:5 “And the Lord your God will bring you into the land your forefathers possessed and you will take possession of it. He will cause you to prosper and multiply you more than your fathers”.
Ezekiel 28:26 “And they will dwell safely there, build houses, and plant vineyards yes, they will dwell securely”.
Amos 9:15 “I will restore from captivity My people Israel; they will rebuild and inhabit the ruined cities. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will firmly plant them on their own land never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them says the Lord your God”.
Hosea 6:2 After two days He will revive us, on the third day He will raise us up. Let us press on to know the Lord. He will come to us like the rain, like the Spring showers that water the earth (salvation)

The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on all of the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Please pray that all Israel will turn back to their GOD. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.

1. Woman Killed In US Synogogue Shooting Associated Press April 28th
One woman was killed and three others were injured in a shooting at a Chabad synagogue outside San Diego where worshipers were celebrating the last day of Passover. There was no known threat after a man was detained in the shooting at the Chabad of Poway synagogue, but authorities boosted patrols at places of worship as a precaution, San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit said. The shooting came exactly six months since a shooting at a synogogue in Pittsburg killed 11 people in the deadliest attack on Jews in U.S. history. Pray that the Jewish people in the US and in the other nations will wake up to the dangers of life anywhere except Israel and return to the Promised Land
2. UN Admits that Hizbollah Terror Tunnel Extended into Northern Israel INN News April 28th
A UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon last week said a tunnel discovered earlier this year by Israel had crossed the Lebanese-Israeli border, in the third such breach of a ceasefire resolution. Israel in Jan. 2019 accused Lebanese Shiite terrorist organization Hizbollah of having dug what it described as the deepest, “longest and most detailed” tunnel it had discovered. The Israeli army said the tunnel from the Lebanese town of Ramyeh, just 800 yards from the border, eached a few dozen yards into Israel, and descended to 55 yards underground. “UNIFIL’s independent assessment confirms that this tunnel crosses the blue line in violation of resolution 1701”, which ended the 2006 war between Israel and Hizbollah. UNIFIL has informed the Lebanese authorities about the violation and has requested urgent follow-up actions. Lebanon and Israel are still technically at war. Israel is currently building a wall along the 80-mile frontier to block Hizbollah attempts to infiltrate. Since early December 2019, Israel has said it discovered six tunnels, destroying them either with explosives or by filling them with a cement-like material. Israel accuses Hizbollah had planned to use the tunnels to kidnap or kill its civilians or soldiers, and to seize Israeli territory in the event of any hostilities. The United States has designated Hizbollah a “terrorist” group since 1997. The USA last week offered a $10 million reward for information that would disrupt the group’s finances. Continue to pray for the northern borders of Israel that they will remain safe from terrorist invasions and attacks.
3. Middle East Tensions Ramping Up Again World Israel News April 28th
The United States and Iran came one step closer to war last week after the Trump Administration announced it would not renew waivers on sanctions against importers of Iranian oil. The new measure aims to stop Iran’s oil exports altogether and will result in a critical loss of revenues since these exports make up 40 percent of the state budget in the Islamic Republic. Trump’s decision was welcomed by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu who thanked Trump and said that the decision was of “great importance in increasing the pressure on the Iranian terrorist regime.” “We’re going to zero. We’re going to zero across the board,” Secretary of State Pompeo told reporters in Washington. “There are no (oil) waivers that extend beyond that period, full stop,” Pompeo added. Iran reacted furiously to the new American measure and threatened to close the Straits of Hormuz a narrow waterway in the Persian Gulf where 18 million barrels of oil pass through each day. This accounts for 30 percent of the world’s oil supply and a closure of the waterway could result in a worldwide economic crisis since the price of Brent crude oil is already at a six-months high. In reaction to the Iranian threats US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook assured the public that the US military will keep the waterway open at all costs. “The US military will fly, sail and operate wherever international law allows, that’s partly to ensure protection of the global commons so that it can be safe for commercial and non-commercial traffic.” Immediately after the announcement of the new measure against Iran’s continuing aggression in the region, reports came in that the US military had started to build-up its forces in the Middle East. The Trump Administration sent two aircraft carriers to the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean Sea this week. The USS Abraham Lincoln headed for the Persian Gulf while the USS John C. Stennis sailed through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean Sea where it will cruise in international waters opposite the coast of Syria. The Stennis has 50 F-18 warplanes aboard and the Lincoln will join the USS Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, a collection of warships which was already stationed in the Persian Gulf. The United States alo deployed an unspecified number of F-35 stealth fighter planes to the United Arab Emirates and has reportedly a number of submarines in the region. The deployment of the naval forces and the F-35’s is the clearest signal to date that the Trump Administration will not hesitate to use force to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and comes after increased cooperation between the Israeli military and the US army over the past few months. The US military recently brought its Terminal High Altitude Area Defence system to Israel where it was integrated in Israel’s multi-layered missile defence systems. Secretary of State Pompeo, isn’t ruling out the possibility that the Administration would make use of the 2001 Congress Authorisation for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists to start a war against Iran. Pray that this situation will not escalate into a full blown Middle East war.
4. 13% Increase in Violent Attacks Against Jews World-Wide Arutz 7 News May 1st
Dr. Moshe Kantor, President of the European Jewish Congress (EJC), spoke about the rise in all forms of anti-Semitism at the release of the 2018 Annual Report on Anti-Semitism Worldwide at the Kantor Center at Tel Aviv University. ?If I have to summarize in one sentence the situation concerning antii-Semitism in 2018 and the beginning of 2019, I would say it is the increasing sense of emergency among Jews in many countries around the world,? Dr. Kantor said. ?Anti-Semitism has recently progressed to the point of calling into question the very continuation of Jewish life in many parts of the world. As we saw with the second mass shooting at a synogogue in the US, many parts of the world that were previously regarded as safe no longer are.? ?Additionally, as we recently witnessed with the disgraceful cartoon in The New York Times, anti-Semitism has entered gradually into the public discourse. Threats, harassment, and insults have become more violent, inciting to even more pshysical violence against Jews. It feels like almost every taboo relating to Jews, Judaism and Jewish life has been broken.? In 2018, we witnessed the largest number of Jews murdered in a single year in decades. The number of the most severe and violent incidents monitored worldwide by the Kantor Center was close to 400 – representing a 13 % increase from last year. In Western European countries, the situation is the worst ? specifically in Germany where there was a 70 percent increase in violent anti-Semitism. The countries with the highest number of major violent cases are the US with over 100 cases, the UK with 68 cases, France and Germany with 35 cases each and Canada with 20 reported cases involving violence against Jews. ?It is now clear that anti-Semitism is no longer limited to the far-Left, far-Right and radical Islamist?s triangle – it has become mainstream and often accepted by civil society,? Dr. Kantor continued. ?It represents a clear danger not only to Jews but to society as a whole. Pray that the increasing attacks against Jews will inspire a major increase in Aliyah
5. Saudis Offered Abbas US $10 Billion – INN News April 30th
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has offered Palestinian Authority leader MachnudAbbas $10 billion to accept President Trump?s upcoming Mideast peace plan for Israel and the PA, reported the Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar. ?According to information obtained by Al-Akhbar, Salman briefed Abbas about the details of the deal of the century and asked him to accept it. According to the information, Salman then asked Abbas: ?How much money does the PA and its ministers and employees need?? Abbas replied with an answer of $1 billion annually, to which the Saudi crown prince replied: ?I will give you $10 billion over 10 years if you accept the deal of the century.? According to the outlet, among economic and other incentives, the Saudi offer also includes the founding of a Palestinian embassy in the town of Abu Dis, located on Jerusalem?s eastern outskirts. Abbas rejected the offer, saying it would ?mean the end of my political life.? White House senior adviser Jared Kushner said last week that the so-called ?deal of the century? will be released after the Islamic holiday of Ramadan, which starts on May 5 and concludes on June 4. Continue to pray that nothing will come of this latest in a long line of peace initiatives
6. Terror Groups Threatens to Disrupt Eurovision Contest in Tel Aviv i24 News May 2nd
Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad vowed on Thursday to target major Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, venue of this year’s Eurovison Song Contest, if Palestinian elements are targeted by assassinations. ?I clearly state that we will respond with force and attack major cities, if any harm is done to [members of] the resistance,” the leader told an Arabic-language news outlet. He warned that the threats would be carried out “regardless of the rank of the people targeted. Senior officials from the Gaza Strip’s Hamas government and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad militant faction traveled to Cairo on Thursday morning, hours after two rockets were launched into Southern Israel, prompting Red Alert sirens. This comes as fragile quiet on the Israel-Gaza border was broken Tuesday by rockets fired into the sea off Israel’s coast. The terror group leaders were summoned to Cairo, where they were to meet an Egyptian delegation seeking to ease tensions and prevent further escalation. Israeli policy holds Hamas responsible for any hostile activity emanating from Gaza, including actions of rogue militant factions who seek to derail efforts toward a cease-fire agreement. In March, both Israel and Hamas agreed to an Egyptian-brokered cease-fire after a major flare-up sparked by a rocket attack that scored a direct hit on a home in central Israel. The fragile quiet that followed was abruptly shattered on Tuesday when a number of rockets fired from Gaza landed in the Mediterranean Sea, with one landing several kilometers from the southern Israeli city of Ashdod. Pray that the terror leaders have more sense than to provoke yet another conflict with Israel.
7. Israel Marks Holocaust Memorial Day World Israel News May 2nd
Israel came to a standstill on Wednesday night as it began to mark the Holocaust Martyrs? and Heroes? Remembrance Day, Yom HaShoah, with an opening ceremony at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem. President Rivlin and Prime Minister Netanyahu delivered their speeches at the ceremony, honoring the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis during World War II. ?Eighty years have gone by since that war broke out where they planned and executed the methodical extermination of the six million of our brothers and sisters,? President Rivlin said. In his speech, the president warned that Israel must not form alliances with extremists and racist groups, who fail to recognize their wrongdoing and responsibility in the Holocaust. Mr. Rivlin continued to speak of Israel?s strength and power in modern times. ?I am not afraid for us, for the State of Israel. The Jewish people are no longer weak. It is not defenseless. The State of Israel is not only a stable democracy, we?re also powerful.? Prime Minister Netanyahu?s address followed Rivlin?s, emphasizing the significant role of Holocaust survivors in the state of Israel. ?I felt huge pain for this terrible disaster that befell us, but together with that, I felt a huge pride to represent our people who rose from the ashes in our independent state,? the prime minister said. PM Netanyahu drew references to anti-Semitism rising around the world and in the U.S., hinting at the recent caricature published in the New York Times. ?The publication of caricatures of hate towards Israel undermines the legitimacy of the Jewish state,? he said. Pray that the vast majority of Jews in the nations will wake up and return home before the coming 2nd Holocaust
