David’s Comment: The Future of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Psalm 80:17 Let Your hand be on the man if Your right hand
If you have been monitoring the news from Israel, you will know that Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu (nickname Bibi) is currently under investigation by the nation’s police and judicial system. The PM and his wife Sarah are being accused of political and financial corruption, receiving expensive gifts (cigars and wine), and living an overly luxurious lifestyle, paid for by the tax payers of Israel. These are very serious charges and the future of PM Netanyahu’s political career is not looking good, especially since 3 of the prime minister’s close aids, have been convinced by the police to testify against him. It is highly likely that an early elections will become necessary, if the situation is not quickly resolved.
I am not writing this comment to pass judgement on PM Netanyahu, as I am not fully aware of the fact, and it is not my place to do that. Josie and I have always voted for Bibi, and we will for him again, as we believe he is the best person to lead the nation at this very strategic and delicate time. Iran and its proxy terror organisations like Hezbollah and Hamas continue to openly threaten to destroy Israel, it is imperative that we have the strongest leader we can find, and Benjamin Netanyahu is indeed a very strong leader. We believe that even his name indicates that Bibi is the man YHVH has chosen to lead His nation at such a time as this. Benjamin means “son of the right hand” and Netanyahu means “given by YAH.”
I am definately not saying that Bibi and his wife Sarah are without fault, but ever since the first day that Bibi became Israel’s youngest prime minister in his first term1996, the liberal left wing sector of Israeli society has visciously attacked him and Sara, in the hope of bringing him down, making way to replace Bibi with a weak liberal leader, who will bow down to Muslim influenced international pressure, and in doing so, significantly weakening the nation and going against GOD’s will for His chosen nation. And since Bibi became prime minister the 2nd time in 2009, the personal and political attacks against him have exponentially increased.
The real relevance and importance to all New Covenant believers, is that any backward move concerning Israel, means delaying the re-establishment of GOD’s Kingdom in Jerusalem, and the return of the Messiah to bring true peace to planet Earth. Satan is using the left wing liberal politicians and news media to turn the world against Israel, in the hope of destroying the Jewish nation, thus preventing the 2nd coming of the Son of GOD – Yeshua the Messiah. Whether you like President Trump or not, it seems that GOD has raised him up to stand against international opinion, and to stand with Israel. CNN, which is often guilty of spreading ‘fake news’, actually got it right about a year ago, when the runner along the bottom of the screen said “Trump and Netanayhu against the world.” Even more accurately, the situation is the world against Trump and Netanyahu.
Bibi has been a great prime minister for nation of Israel. He has worked very hard in the face of national and international opposition, to increase Israel’s security, and he has increased the readiness of the Israeli Army, Navy and Air Force to ensure a victory if our enemies are foolish enough to start a war in the days ahead. Over the last 2 years, Bibi has led trade delegations to many nations, such as China, India, South Africa, Singapore, Australia to personally meet with political and business leaders, bringing a major increase in trade between the nations and Israel.
Bibi was in the USA this week and on Monday he met with President Trump to thank him in person for recognising Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and for advancing the relocation of the US embassy to coincide with Israel’s 70th birthday on May 14th this year. On Tuesday Bibi gave another of his amazing and very poignant speeches at the AIPAC conference in Washington. Click here to watch the full speech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77GdJHRQC4Q
Back to the current situation and Bibi’s future. As I said earlier, the accusations against him are serious, but all of the previous attempts to find him guilty of political misconduct, proved to be without grounds, and came to nothing. There are some promising future political leaders in the making, like Naphtali Bennet, but now is not their time. I am convinced that Bibi really loves this nation, and although he is not a Messianic Believer, I do think that he knows that the Bible is the Word of GOD, and he has more fear of the LORD than most other Israeli and international politicians.
For the sake of Israel’s safety and future prospects, and for the sake of the soon coming Kingdom of GOD, we need to pray that Benjamin Netanyahu continues to be Israel’s prime minister.
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their GOD. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom …… David & Josie

1. Satellites Finds Evidence of Iranian Missile Base in Syria Fox News Feb 28th
Iran’s presence in Syria can no longer be dismissed as involvement in its ally’s ongoing civil war. Fox News reported this week that satellite imagery had revealed a new Iranian military facility near Damascus. The size and position of two large hangars indicate that the base is hosting short and medium range missiles. A similar base constructed by Iran last year was bombed and destroyed by Israel. The rebellion against Syrian dictator Bashar Assad wouldn’t require Iran to deploy medium range missiles to the country, especially given that the Russian Air Force is also involved on their behalf. The only reasonable assumption is that these missiles are meant for Israel. Pray that Israel’s satellites will discover all military facilities that are a potential threat to Israel
2. Guatemala to Move Embassy to Jerusalem in May World Israel News March 5th
Israeli PM Netanyahu met with Guatemalan President Morales in Washington, where the two leaders discussed deepening bilateral ties and cooperation. Three weeks after President Trump declared that the United States recognizes Jerusalem as Israel?s capital and that the US would start the process of moving its embassy there from Tel Aviv, the Guatemalan President announced that his nation’s embassy will also move, being the first to follow the American lead. ?Thank you for everything you?re doing, for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel?s capital. I hope soon you will move your embassy to Jerusalem; we hope,? Netanyahu told President Morales, who replied, ?It is an honor and it is the right thing to do.? The Guatemalan leader invited PM Netanyahu to visit his country, to which the Israeli premier responded by extending a mutual invitation. Israeli TV newschannel Hadashot reported that Guatemala, like the US, is planning to move its embassy back to Jerusalem in May. Please pray that the Guatamalan embassy will indeed be relocated May3
3. PA Gives Free Apartment to Family of Terrorist Who Murdered Rabbi INN News March 2nd
The Palestinian Fatah faction in the Jenin area has given a fully furnished apartment to the family of the commander of the Hamas terror cell that murdered Rabbi Shevach in January. The murderer was killed by Israeli troops a month later. Fatah noted that the donation of the apartment ?constituted fulfillment of the national obligation to the family of a martyr who had sacrificed his life for Palestine and whose home the occupation [Israel] had razed. Jarrar?s mother and brother thanked Fatah for its support. A Fatah official said that the donation of the apartment was ?aimed at underlining that the Fatah movement was fulfilling the national duty towards the families of the martyrs whose homes were razed by the Israeli occupation,? according to the WAFA report, translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute. He praised the part played by all those who had contributed to ?this national task that, he said, proved that our people is united and consolidated and does not forget its martyrs who gave their lives for Palestine.? Fatah posted a video on its Facebook page showing the killers mother thanking Fatah for its support of the family. Following the murder perpetrated by Jarrar, and after he was killed by Israeli troops, the Palestinian Authority (PA) and PA-affiliated media, as well as Fatah?s official Facebook page, lavished praise on him, describing him as a hero and martyr, a symbol of the armed struggle against Israel and a role model for Arab youth. Pray that the USA will continue to pressure the PA to stop financing the families of convicted terrorists.
4. Israel & Saudi Arabia to Normalise Relations ? World Israel News March 7th\
In his first public trip abroad since becoming Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman, flew to Cairo on Sunday to sign multi-billion dollar agreements with the Egyptian president. According to a report in the London-based Arab newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, he also met there with senior Israeli officials. The broad theme of the meeting was the normalisation of ties between the two countries which have yet to recognize each other or have open diplomatic relations. Saudi Arabia?s support for the peace plan that U.S. President Trump?s administration is putting together was also discussed, notwithstanding the fact that the plan?s details have not officially been revealed. Prime Minister Netanyahu as well as other government representatives, have openly talked of the quiet Israeli-Saudi relationship and security coordination that has developed over recent years with various Sunni Muslim states. Even though none of these nations have diplomatic relations with the Jewish state, the common bond between them is their desire to stop Iran?s hegemonic ambitions, which threaten all states in the region. Please pray more Arab countries will realise the benefiit of working with Israel
5. Iran Claims to Have Trippled Missile Production INN News March 5th
There can be only one underlying reason for Iran to produce so many ground-to-ground missiles – there can be only one real target – Israel. While Iran has many enemies in the Middle East, none but Israel poses any real military obstacle to Tehran’s dreams of hegemony. With that in mind, Iran’s government-controlled Fars news agency reported on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic has tripled its production of missiles. A top officer in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards suggested that former US President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran had enabled this increase by removing strict international oversight of Iranian military activity. ?In the past we had to do a lot of explaining to various bodies for our actions, but it?s not like that anymore.” Iran has missile capable of striking Israel on the other side of the region. But far more dangerous is Iran’s effort to establish missile bases in neighboring Syria. With this increased missile production and a firm military foothold in Israel’s war-torn neighbor, the Iranian threat to the Jewish state has grown exponentially. Please pray that any Iranian missiles launched at Israel will fail and fall back on Iranian territory
6. US & Israeli Military Train in Israel in Preparation for Ballistic Missile Attack Times of Israel News March 7th
Thousands of American and Israeli soldiers are preparing for the real possibility that they will have to fight ?shoulder to shoulder? against a massive ballistic attack on the State of Israel. The two militaries launched the nearly-month-long Juniper Cobra exercise, which will simulate such a missile barrage ;ast Sunday. The bi-annual drill is this year?s premier exercise for the US European Command and one of the most important for the Israel Defense Forces, with approximately 2,500 soldiers from each army taking part. ,? Brig. Gen. Tzvika Haimovitch, Israel?s air defense commander, told reporters on Thursday. Israel considers ballistic missiles, specifically precision-guided ones, to be one of the most significant threats facing the Jewish state, in the form of the Hezbollah terrorist group?s massive arsenal of short- and medium-range rockets, as well as the intercontinental ballistic missiles that Iran is working to develop. Pray that these exercises will result in Israel being fully able to counter and defeat any future missile attack.
7. Ancient Seal Discovered in Jerusalem World Israel News March 4th
Dr. Eilat Mazar, of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, has unearthed what may be the 2,700-year-old seal impression of the Prophet Isaiah. The seal was found next to the seal of King Hezekiah, to whom Isaiah served as a close advisor. Furthermore, the seal has the Hebrew name of ?Isaiah? written on it, along with three of the four Hebrew letters that spell ?prophet.? Given that the seal is not entirely intact, and that the final letter is missing from ?prophet,? it cannot be definitively determined that it did, indeed, belong to the Prophet Isaiah rather than a different Isaiah. The discovery of King Hezekiah?s seal in 2015, ? helped sway an age-old argument over the history of Jerusalem: Was it a major city and the capital of a powerful kingdom or merely a village on a hilltop with great public relations? The finding of the seal lent credence to the narrative that it had, after all, been a major city during the Iron Age.? Pray that more ancient evidience is discovered that will further prove the validity of the Bible and Israel’s age old right to possess the land
