David’s Comment: Some Refreshing Truth in the Australian Media – the Only Hope for Peace in the Middle East
John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (NIV)
As we have been reporting for the last 3 months, the Iranian backed terror group Hamas has been sending its trained terrorists and intermingled with the regular people of Gaza, even women and young children, to participate in what most of the media calls ‘peaceful protests’ at the border fence with Israel. The protests were aimed at the celebrations of Israel’s 70th anniversary and to protest the opening of the new US Embassy in Jerusalem. These protests are in reality violent riots, where gunfire, mortars and various other types of projectiles, mortars and rockets have been fired at Israeli soldiers and civilian locations along the Israel – Gaza border. Dozens of burning tyres, were being used as smoke-screens to cover the actions of those engaged in violence, but at the same time polluting a large area with acrid black smoke. The burning tyres inspired the latest weapon of choice in the Gaza strip – simple kites with burning rags attached. This very low tech weapon has actually caused a large amount of damage to farm land and crops in southern Israel. Thankfully no Israelis have been physically harmed by the fires.
Right from the first week of the riots and attempts to break through the border into Israel, most political leaders and most of the secular media have blamed Israel for those Gazans who were killed or injured, and once again accused Israel of using ‘disproportionate force’ against the ‘peaceful protesters.’ I have no doubt that if these riots had been happening on their borders, and their families’ lives were in danger, they would have used much more force than Israel did. Our Air Force even dropped leaflets in Arabic, pleading for the people of Gaza not to approach the fence and place themselves in danger, but their response was the opposite, one mother even bringing her baby to the area where the riots were taking place. What kind of mother purposely brings her baby to a war zone ?
So the usual political and media anti Israel frenzy has been going on since the riots began. However there was a very different perspective given on Sky News in Australia. Click here to watch the short video clip – its amazing, and at the same time very, very true. Is that not a breath of fresh air to hear secular journalists telling the truth ? If all of the Arab nations had the sense to make peace with Israel, they would be blessed, and the entire Middle East would prosper and the whole region could look like Dubai.
Of course we all want to see true peace in the Middle East, but there is only one possible peace plan. It is YHVH’s peace plan that calls for the re-establishment of His Kingdom on Earth, with His appointed King, His only begotten Son, Yeshua – the Prince of Peace, sitting on the throne of David in a rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem. According to Acts 3:21, there are some conditions concerning Israel and the Jewish people that need to be completed before that can take place. Among them ……….
1/ The restoration of Israel’s Biblical boundaries Genesis 15:18
2/ The return of ALL the Jew to Israel Ezekiel 36:8-10, 39:27-28
3/ The salvation of all Israel Romans 11:26-27
4/ The raising up of 144,000 Jewish evangelists Revelation 7:4
Once these prophecies are fulfilled the Yeshua, the Prince of Peace, will come to rule with His iron rod (Revelation 19:15) and maintain peace on Earth. No other plan than the Bible plan will work. Any other plan to bring peace on Earth is an ‘ Anti-Christ ‘ plan in that it is trying to be a substitute for the Messiah.
If we really want to see peace, we in the Body of Messiah need to utilise the power of prayer and the authority that the Lord has given us to accelerate the fulfillment of the prophecies which will hasten the day of His coming (2 Peter 3:12). And to pray for the salvation of the Muslims and other people who have been deceived to despise the very existence of Israel and the Jewish people. They need to be told the truth by the Christian world, boldly but in love, that ……
1/. Israel is the apple of GODs’s eye and He promises to bless those who bless the Jewish people, but threatens to curse those who curse the Jews.
2/. God promised all of the land of Canaan to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – the Jews – not to Ishmael’s descendants. The Arab people have no legitimate claim to any land west of the River Jordan and in GOD’s eyes there never was a nation called Palestine
3/. That all previous attempts, by the world’s greatest empires and most powerful leaders, have ended with the demise of the attacking nation or leader
4/. Their god Allah is not the God who created the Universe and everything that exists in it
5/. That very soon Yeshua will return to Jerusalem to be King of all the Earth and every knee will have to bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord
6/. That if they really want to have a right to the land of Israel, they dont need to send their children and young people out to attack Israelis and die in the process – they just need to repent and come to the True God – the GOD of Israel, through the Blood of His Son Yeshua. Then they will become grafted into the nation of Israel as fellow citizens.
Of course speaking the truth will be extremely controversial and won’t make you the most popular person in town. However, you will be pleasing our Abba in Heaven. And you never know how many people will be set free to follow the Lord by your willingness to risk you own well being to speak the truth. It is the only hope for those who are deceived.
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their GOD. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom …… David & Josie

1. Violence on Gaza Border Flares Up Again World Israel News June 10th
IDF forces employed riot control tactics on Saturday to control rioters along the Gaza border who ignited tires, rolling them in the soldiers? direction, threw stones, and launched incendiary kites and balloons. A hand grenade and a pipe bomb were also thrown at IDF forces, as well as a kite carrying explosives, which detonated in mid-air. In total, around 20 fires were caused by firebomb-equipped kites and balloons from Gaza between Friday night and Saturday alone. An Israeli soldier was wounded by a friendly fire bullet ricochet, and was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center with injuries to his neck and face.According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, 47 Palestinians were wounded by IDF bullet fire. Five were reported to be in serious condition. On Thursday, the Air Force dropped leaflets warning Gazans not to approach the fence. Protests had been originally planned for Tuesday, the anniversary of Israel?s victory in the Six Day War, which the Palestinians mark as the Naksa (setback), however, Hamas switched the protests to Friday, when Iran holds its Al Quds event, held since 1979 on the last day of Ramadan. The IDF warned protesters not to take part in violent riots or to try and cross the border. ?Do not to let Hamas use you as pawns for its narrow interests, behind which stands Shiite Iran that has set a goal of igniting the region for its religious and ethnic interests,? the flyer read. ?You should not allow Hamas to turn you into a hostage, so that they gain political capital at the expense of the welfare and future of Gaza?s citizens in general and the young people in particular. To prevent harmful consequences, we urge you not to take part in the riots and not to put yourself in harm?s way,? the flyer concluded. Pray that this will be the end of these weekly violent protests on the Israel / Gaza border
2. Iran Paying Families of Those Killed at Gaza Protests World Israel News June 10th
A recent report by Israel?s Reshet Bet revealed that the families of Gazans killed during riots along the Israeli security border received $500 each from the Islamic Republic of Iran. The money was reportedly doled out by Hamas during a Ramadan ?break fast? meal held on Thursday evening to honor families of ?martyrs.? A study analyzing the casualties revealed that the vast majority of those killed in the rioting were connected to Hamas or other terrorist organizations operating in the coastal enclave. While the riots were presented as spontaneous, peaceful demonstrations under the ?March of Return? banner, mounting evidence demonstrates they were in fact Hamas-orchestrated operations designed to provide civilian cover to military operatives attempting to breach Israel?s border. For example, after a 22-year-old female medic was killed in last weeks’ riots, a video surfaced in which she referred to herself as ?human shield,? contradicting initial reports portraying her as an innocent healthcare worker. Iran provides funding, weapons and training to Hamas, which designated Iran?s annual anti-Israel ?Quds Day,? which falls on Friday, as a date for more rioting along the Gaza-Israel border. Pray that the world will wake up to the truth and shift the blame from Israel to Iran
3. Fire-Kites Now Being Fitted With Explosives INN News June 11th
Since March 30, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have launched hundreds of helium balloons and kites bearing flammable materials into Israeli territory. Israel has attempted to use drones to down the kites and balloons. The flying objects are fitted with a long string to which a Molotov cocktail or pouch of burning fuel or, in a few rare cases, an improvised explosive device is attached. After many hours, firefighters succeeded in extinguishing 17 brush fires that broke out Sunday around the Gaza border, apparently having been sparked by burning kites flown from the Strip. In addition, police said that children in a town near the border discovered a kite with a suspected bomb attached to it. Sappers neutralized the bomb using. Israeli firefighters said that in the past two months, 741 acres of forest were burned in 285 separate incidents. In last Friday?s border violence, Gazans used helium-filled balloons to carry explosives, detonated by remote control, in attempts to attack troops, the IDF said.According to the IDF, joint teams of soldiers, firefighters, and civilians have managed to bring down over 500 fire kites and balloons launched toward Israel in the past 10 weeks. In total, nearly 18,000 dunams (4,500 acres) of agricultural fields, forests and grasslands have been burned, causing over NIS 5 million ($1.4 million) worth of damage, officials said. Last week, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that in order to cover the cost of damage to affected fields, the government would consider withholding tax revenue funds from the Palestinian Authority. Please pray that the IDF will quickly find a way to neutralise every kite that is launched against Israel

5. Indonesian Leader of 60 Million Muslims Visits Israel World News Israel June 12th
A leader of Indonesia?s largest Muslim organization is visiting Israel this week, despite angry protests at home, to spread what he calls a message of interfaith compassion. Yahya Staquf, secretary general of the 60 million member Nahdlatul Ulama, is in Israel as a guest of the American Jewish Committee, a US advocacy group holding a major conference in Jerusalem. Indonesia, the world?s most populous Muslim country, does not have diplomatic relations with Israel, and support for the Palestinians there is strong. Staquf?s presence has triggered angry reactions, as seen on social media in Indonesia, But in an interview, Staquf said he remains committed to the visit and hopes the controversy can bring more attention to his message of tolerance. Pray that this man has a revelation about the advantage of having good relations with Israel
6. More Than 250 Terror Attacks Prevented So Far in 2018 Jerusalem Post June 13th
The head of the Shin Bet security service on Wednesday announced that his organization had foiled some 250 ?significant terror attacks? since January, crediting this achievement in part to high-tech surveillance and tracking tools. Nadav Argaman, who has led the Shin Bet since 2016, noted the changing security threats in Israel and the West Bank, away from more organized terror groups and toward so-called ?lone wolf? attacks by unaffiliated individuals. ?The map of threats and challenges is varied and covers multiple unstable and difficult fronts,? he said. ?Since the start of the year, the Shin Bet security service has prevented 250 significant terror attacks, including suicide bombings, kidnappings, and shootings,? he said. Lets give thanks to the LORD for these potential attacks not becoming a reality
7. Freak Rains Hit Israel Wednesday INN News June 13th
Freak heavy rain on Wednesday morning caused flooding in the southern cities of Sderot and Ashkelon, with cars sinking into the water and caused flooding along Israel’s coast, with thunder storms causing power outages in some northern cities. Sderot resident David Mansour told Army Radio, “The entire city has turned into ‘Venice.’ Everything is flooded, the playground and ten cars are sitting in puddles. No one enters or leaves the marketplace. The infrastructure is old and we haven’t invested in it, we invest only in cosmetics. So now you have rain, and this is what happens.”
Rain also fell further north along the coast, as well as in the western Galilee, with strong rainfall and thunderstorms overnight. In the northern cities of Ma’alot and Karmiel, the storms caused power outages. Ashkelon has received 35 millimeters (1.38″) of rain, while the Sharon region and the central city of Rishon Lezion received 8 millimeters (.31″) of rain. Pray that these highly unusual rains are a prophetic sign of the spiritual rain being poured out on Israel.
