David’s Comment: Understanding the Times
Matthew 16:2 He answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red. And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.
In the above verse, Yeshua is rebuking the religious leaders because they did not understand the times in which they were living. Conversely, the Bible commends the sons of Issachar, because they were aware of the times in which they live. It is absolutely imperative that we understand our times, because I believe we are living in the ‘End Times’ or the’ Last Days‘. There are many signs in the world today that indicate that we are living very close to the time of the second coming of Yeshua to set up the Kingdom on the Earth. The most unmistakable sign that this is true, is the resurrection of Israel in 1948, the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967, and the amazing growth of the Messianic Jewish part of the Body of Messiah (Church) in Israel and around the world. The words of the prophets are coming to pass, every day, right in front of our eyes. There are numerous other signs in the world today that indicate that we are living in the ‘End Times.’ The rise of the occult and New Age, it is legal to murder unborn babies, sexual immorality is rampant, corruption and rebellion are also rampant, and we are destroying the planet with pollution.
The GOD of Israel, YHVH, has a pre-appointed plan to bring this present evil age to an end, and to re-establish His Kingdom in Jerusalem, and He has appointed His Son Yeshua, to be the King of all Kings and the Lord of all Lords. A new Temple will be built where the Al Aksa mosque sits right now, and Yeshua will rule the entire world from the Holy of Holies for 1000 years. YHVH is a God of order and pattern, and the timing of His plan is precisely laid out in the Biblical Feast cycle that He set in place when He created the Universe.
I believe that the LORD wants us to be aware of the ‘End Times‘ signs. We need to know what is going on all around us and the relevance of these things to the coming of the Kingdom – for several reasons ……
1. So that we know where we are in prophetic time Matthew 16:3 You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.
2. So that we know how to pray James 5:16 The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much
3. So that we can be prepared for the dramatic events that are about to break out all over the Earth Hosea 4:6 My people perish for lack of knowledge
I believe that the LORD has given Messianc Rabbi Jonathan Cahn special revelations concerning the times in which we are living. I am going to keep my comment short and I want to encourage you to watch a very recent update by Rabbi Cahn in which he shares some amazing information. For those of you who do not understand English, please do your best or see if you can find a translated version on You Tube or the internet. https://www.yoube.com/watch?v=5eZDqBOup3k
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom …… David & Jose

1. Another Syrian Mortar Lands on the Golan Heights INN News June 30th
A mortar shell fired from Syria landed in the northern Golan Heights on Friday afternoon, the IDF said. The IDF fired back at the source of the fire. No one was hurt and no damage was reported in the incident, which marked the 16th time stray fire from battles in Syria struck Israeli territory in the past week. IDF forces located the shell casing near the border fence not far from Quneitra. On Wednesday, a shell from fighting in Syria landed on the Israeli side of the plateau just as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was touring the area. There were no injuries or damage caused and the PM was not in danger. The IDF immediately struck a Syrian military position from which the mortar shell was fired, fulfilling Netanyahu?s vow that Israel ?will not accept stray fire? from the Syrian civil war landing in its territory. The incident came as Netanyahu spoke at an event marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the city of Katzrin, some 17 kilometers (10 miles) from the Quneitra area where the mortar struck. ?We are here celebrating the fortieth anniversary of Katzrin, the capital of the Golan Heights,? Netanyahu said. ?I said that we will not tolerate spillover and that we will respond to every incident of fire. During my speech shells from the Syrian side landed in our territory and the IDF has already struck back. Whoever attacks us ? we will attack him. This is our policy and we will continue with it.? ?We are not involved in the bloody conflict in Syria, but we are determined to respond with decisiveness and strength to any violation of our sovereignty,? Channel 2 quoted him as saying. ?Whoever shoots at our territory and endangers our citizens will be met with a quick and strong answer.? Please pray that the IDF keeps the northern border secured
2. Major New Building Program in East Jerusalem World Israel News July 3rd
New construction plans in Jerusalem contradict an earlier report suggesting an ongoing freeze on building in eastern portions of the capital. A long-held construction freeze of Jewish homes in Jerusalem neighborhoods located in areas captured from Jordan during the Six-Day War in 1967 appears to have dissipated, according to a report. City planning committees are in preparations to authorize approximately 2000 new units in such neighborhoods. Four buildings will be constructed in the largely Palestinian neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, located north of the Old City, one of which will be a new building for a religious seminary. In northeastern Jerusalem, Pisgat Ze?ev is expected to see 944 new housing units approved this week. One hundred sixteen additional homes in the neighborhood will be considered in two weeks, as well as 214 units in the next-door neighborhood of Neveh Yaakov, 200 units in Ramot (located in northwestern Jerusalem), and 800 in the southern neighborhood of Gilo. Earlier this year, the Jerusalem Municipaly moved forward with a plan to build 566 new Jewish homes in Jerusalem that was put on hold until after Obama?s presidency. ?After eight difficult years of Obama, we are continuing to build in Jerusalem,? remarked Jerusalem?s Mayor Nir Barkat at the time. ?I hope that the era of government delays as a result of political pressures has ended and that we will we able to have a big building boom in order to strengthen the sovereignty over a united Jerusalem as Israel?s capital.? Let us pray that the Israeli government will never again freeze building permits for every place in the Promised Land
3. Israel’s Cyber-Security Has Prevented 2000 Terror Attacks in 18 Months Times of Israel News July 2nd
Israeli Security Agency has used cyber technology to prevent more than 2,000 terror attacks since the beginning of 2016, agency head Nadav Argaman told a conference at Tel Aviv University last week. He said Israeli intelligence agencies have also passed on information to stop terrorists elsewhere in the world. He noted that groundbreaking cybertechnology has helped to protect against lone-wolf attacks that would have been unpreventable using traditional intelligence means. He added that hackers who attempt to attack Israel are in for a surprise. “We are not only defending but also attacking hackers in the world. Hackers who operate against Israel find they experience unexpected problems. We learn the patterns of activities of the enemy and know how to surprise him with counterattacks in many different ways.” Pray that Israel will continue to develop successful methods to avert terrorist attacks both locally and globally.
4. Israel & India to Improve Relationship Israel HaYom News July 2nd
Cooperation on defense, agriculture and water management issues will be discussed when PM Minister Narendra Modi visits Israel on July 4-6, 2017. Modi will be the first prime minister from India to visit Israel. The Indian leader?s visit this week is also special because it underscores the 180-degree turn the bilateral ties have undergone. For many decades, India was led by a staunchly anti-Israel socialist party that supported every diplomatic effort to attack the Jewish state. Modi, however, has drawn parallels between the renaissance of the Jewish people and the challenges facing his own country. Both countries face the same threat from Islamic terrorism. About a year ago, India stopped supporting anti-Israel resolutions at the UN. According to the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv, there are 85,000 Jews of Indian origin in Israel. Pray for Israel?s increasingly good relationships with formally bias and estranged nations ? also that the Jewish state will be recognized and honored for its widespread contributions to humanity.
5. First US Aircraft Carrier Visit to Israel in 17 Years
It leads the United States’ war against ISIS and with 75 aircraft on its deck has the ability to carry out numerous combat sorties a day. On Monday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the USS George H. W. Bush docked opposite the Haifa Port and became the first sitting head of state to visit America’s largest and most lethal floating war machine. The docking of the ship on Saturday marked the first time an aircraft carrier visited Israel in 17 years. “The visit of the USS George H.W. Bush speaks to the enduring commitment to our shared interests and a commitment to fight against our common enemies,” said Netanyahu. Commanding Officer Captain Will Pennington told reporters during a visit to the ship. According to a statement by the US European Command, the ship’s visit is meant “to enhance US-Israel relations as the two nations reaffirm their continued commitment to the collective security of the European and Middle East Regions.” According to Captain Pennington, the crew is constantly engaged in cooperation with Israel, including sharing intelligence. Pray that this US Aircraft Carrier visit will send a strong warning message to Israel’s enemies
6. UNESCO At It Again Times of Israel News July 5th
The United Nations Educational, Scientific, Cultural Organization?s World Heritage Council on Tuesday passed a resolution denouncing Israeli activity in the Old City of Jerusalem. Ten countries voted in favor of the text, which was significantly softer than previous resolutions. Only three member states ? Jamaica, the Philippines and Burkina Faso opposed the resolution, while eight abstained. The Jordanian-sponsored resolution on the ?Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls? called Israel ?the occupying power,? and reaffirmed previous UN resolutions denying the Israe’s claims to East Jerusalem. Israel?s annexation of East Jerusalem has never been recognized by the international community. The body ?regrets the failure of the Israeli occupying authorities to cease the persistent excavations, tunneling, works, projects and other illegal practices in East Jerusalem, particularly in and around the Old City of Jerusalem, which are illegal under international law,? the measure read. However, Decision 41 COM 7A.36 stressed ?the importance of the Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls for the three monotheistic religions,? language not found in last year?s text. Despite the text lacking the bite of previous resolutions passed by the body, it was still met with angry denunciations by Israeli officials.. ?Nothing is more disgraceful than UNESCO declaring the world?s only Jewish state the ?occupier? of the Western Wall and Jerusalem?s Old City,? Israel?s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said in a statement released minutes after the vote. We need to pray the UNESCO is dissolved
7. HAMAS Thanks UN for Taking its Side Against Israel Israel Today News July 5th
Hamas has issued a statement essentially thanking UNESCO for siding with the terrorist group in its struggle against Israel. A day earlier, UNESCO’s World Heritage Council passed a Jordanian-sponsored resolution calling Israel “the occupying power” on the eastern side of Jerusalem, including the Old City, Temple Mount and Western Wall. The resolution reaffirmed past UN decisions denying any Jewish religious or historical connections that would give Israel claim to that half of the Holy City. In response, Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanua said that the international community had taken another important step toward defeating what he called the “false Israeli narrative” regarding Jerusalem. He urged the UN to follow up with firm action on the ground to “save Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque from Judaization, excavations and Zionist projects.” The resolution was supported by 10 member states. Jamaica, the Philippines and Burkina Faso voted against, and another eight countries abstained. The United States under President Donald Trump has repeatedly condemned UNESCO and other UN bodies for their obsession with Israel, and has threatened to withdraw American funding if the situation is not remedied. Pray that the GOD of Israel will deal with the UN & UNESCO according to Genesis 12:3
