David’s Comment: My Two Best Tips for Your Life in 2019
Hebrews 4:12  The Word of God is alive and powerful and sharper than a two edged sword

I don’t like to focus on the Gregorian calendar as it is not the calendar of the Kingdom of GOD, but the world has just entered the new year 2019. The next 12 months, if not the next 3 or 4 months, are shaping up to be the one of the most strategic periods of time for every person who GOD has purposed to be alive now on planet Earth.. The final outcome of Brexit, political upheaval in numerous nations, the situation on the world’s major stock-markets, the changes in weather patterns, and the real possibility of a major war in the Middle East, have the potential to dramatically change the lives of billions of people.

Until recently, not many pastors or ministry leaders were teaching about the End Times, however over the last 6 months, I have been hearing more and more messages about the End Times. A few weeks after I became a Believer 31 years ago, an End Time Bible teacher held a 4 day seminar at the congregation that Josie and I were attending. His name was Barry Smith and the information  he presented in the seminar fascinated me. As a result, I have had an interest in the End Times and I have been closely watching world events ever since that time. I believe that the events we see taking place in Israel and in the nations, are unmistakable signs that we are definitely living at the end of this age, and turmoil and tribulation, such as has never been seen before, is about to break loose on the Earth.

The reason for starting off my first comment for 2019 as I have above, is not to create fear or discouragement, but to create encouragement to follow my 2 best tips for 2019. If what I have written above turns out to be right, then there is only one place to find peace and safety – securely inside a blood covenant relationship with the LORD GOD of ISRAEL. There are 2 main ways to be sure of that security by deepening our relationship with the LORD

1/  Have more of His Holy Spirit living inside of us
2/  Have more of His Word established inside of us

Those are my 2 best tips that will enable you to endure and prosper in 2019, no matter what eventuates on the world scene.

My 1st Tip for 2019  ….  Being filled with the Ruach ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit) is not a one time event. In the New Testament verse that speaks about being filled with the Holy Spirit, the original Greek text has a continual sense – it is really saying that we need to be continually being filled (or refilled) with the Holy Spirit. Every morning in my prayer time, I ask the Father to fill me with His Ruach. As we launch out into the unknowns of 2019, I want to encourage you to do the same – at least once a day ask the Father to fill you, teach you, and guide you with His Ruach ha Kodesh. You can even ask more than once a day – we can never have too much of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us.

My 2nd Tip for 2019 is as equally important if we want to survive and prosper – Read the Bible ! There are several reasons why we need to read more of the Word.

1/  To gain a greater revelation of GOD’s nature and character – primarily His faithful and loving nature
2/  To gain a greater understanding of GOD’s plan and timing for the restoration of His Kingdom on Earth through the books of the Prophets
3/  To gain a greater revelation of our eternal Salvation and our present Kingdom rights under the New Covenant
4/  To hear GOD’s voice teaching and guiding us through His written Word
5/  To see a dramatic increase in the power of our prayer life as we recall and declare His Word

I am sure that many of you can come up with other reasons why we should saturate ourselves in the Word of GOD, but the above reasons are a good start. However if we want to get the maximum benefit from the Bible, we need to read ALL of it, not just New Testament or the other parts we like to read. And we need to read the Bible in context, understanding that the majority of scripture was originally written down by Jews for Jews, but of course every passage in the Bible has an application for every Christian living in 2019. Bur we need to read the Bible with Hebraic glasses rather than the Greek glasses that most of Christianity has been wearing for the last 1900 years.

As we embark on our journey into 2019, Josie and I pray that as you open your hearts, YHVH will fill you afresh with His Ruach ha Kodesh, re-igniting your first love for the Father and Yeshua, and that He will give you a fresh hunger for more of His Word. And as you open the Word of God, you will receive fresh revelation, as you have never experienced before – in the Name of Messiah Yeshua we ask and pray – Amen & Amen.

The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on all of the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel.  Please pray that all Israel will turn back to their GOD.  Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom & May 2019 be a Year of Blessing and Increase …..  David & Josie

This Week’s News Items

1. IDF Discovers 5th Hebollah Terror Tunnel     World Israel News    Dec 27th

The IDF has destroyed a fifth Hezbollah tunnel crossing from Lebanon into Israel as part of Operation Northern Shield, an IDF spokesman said. ?We have just destroyed another Hezbollah attack tunnel that was dug from Lebanon into Israeli territory,? the spokesman said. The tunnel came from Ayta ash Shab, a village across the border from an Israeli farming community. It violated Israeli territory. ?The IDF sees the Lebanese government as responsible for the digging of the tunnels and the consequences,? the spokesman added, calling the digging of the tunnels a gross violation of U.N. Resolution 1701 and of Israeli sovereignty. The IDF launched Operation Northern Sheild on December 4th to seek out and destroy Hezbollah tunnels burrowing under the Blue Line, the border between Israel and Lebanon. The tunnels were a key part of the terror group?s plan to invade parts of Northern Israel in order to kill and capture Israeli civilians. Hezbollah?s leaders have remained largely silent following the discovery of their tunnels, which most commentators agree is a major strategic and material loss for the organization. Pray that every terror tunnel with be discovered and destroyed before the mission ends

2. Israel Destroyed Iranian Arms Depot in Syria    United With Israel News   Dec 28th

An Israeli security official on Wednesday confirmed responsibility for bombing locations in Syria, saying the air force had hit a series of targets involved in Iranian arms transfers to the Hezbollah terror group. Satellite images taken on Wednesday and published by ImageSat International on Thursday reveal just how devastating the airstrike was, showing a huge storage facility leveled to the ground.
The photos show the remnants of an 8,000 square foot Iranian warehouse at a Syrian army base near Damascus. While Israel in the past has refused to comment on such strikes, it confirmed this year that it has carried out hundreds of these operations in the last two years, targeting Iranian personnel and military assets. The Israeli official who confirmed the most recent strike said the air force attacked several Iranian targets in three main locations late Tuesday and early Wednesday. He said the targets were primarily storage and logistics facilities used by archenemy Iran to ship weapons to Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed Islamic terror group that fought Israel in a 2006 war. The Israeli official said it Syrian air defenses endangered civilian planes during the incident by firing 30 missiles in response to the airstrike. He also claimed that Iranian forces are operating less than 80 kilometers (50 miles) from the Israeli border, contrary to Russian assurances. The official also said the Israeli jets hit all their targets, in some cases causing secondary explosions. He said they also destroyed a Syrian anti-aircraft battery.
Pray that Israel will continue to destroy all Iranian miltary assests in Syria

3. Israel Hits Iranian Weapons Base in Syria    Associated Press   Dec 27th

Israeli warplanes flying over Lebanon fired missiles south of the Syrian capital of Damascus last week, reportedly hitting an arms depot and wounding three soldiers, Syrian state media reported.
The attack came in response to a missile fired from Syria, an IDF spokesperson said. According to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a war monitor, the arms depots were serving the Lebanon-based Hezbollah terror group and Iranian forces. Newsweek reported that a group of senior leaders of Iranian proxy Hezbollah were injured during the airstrike just minutes after boarding a plane to Tehran. The reported attack near Damascus is the first since President Trump announced last week that the U.S. will withdraw all of its 2,000 forces in Syria, a move that will leave control of the oil-rich eastern third of Syria up for grabs.
Pray that Iran will give up on its program to attack Israel using their agents located on bases in Syria

4. Rain Brings Relief to 6 Year Drought     United With Israel News   Jan 1st

A massive storm front that arrived in Israel on Thursday brought with it heavy downpours spread from the north to the south, helping to abate a six-year drought that has severely depleted the Sea of Galilee. The storm system was accompanied by a significant drop in temperatures and risk of flooding in the Judean Desert, the Dead Sea region and the Jordan Valley. Heavy rains dropped more than a half-inch of rain on Kibbutz Ayalon in the Western Galilee in just one hour, and the Mount Hermon site in the Golan was closed on Thursday due to the snowfall. Heavy rains were also recorded throughout Judea and Samaria, and the Sharon and Dan regions. Hailstorms were recorded in parts of the Sharon coastal region. The abundance of water was good news for Israel which has suffered through a six-year drought. The Sea of Galilee has risen 25 centimeters since the beginning of the winter, bringing it to 214.47 meters below sea level, but still 1.47 meters below the lower red line. That level remains below what can be used for drinking water and a mere .40 meters from the black line?a historic low below which it is believed that the water will become unusable. Winds on the Mediterranean Sea reached up to 43 miles per hour on Thursday, and waves reached 11 feet high. Pray that the winter months will continue to bring wet weather which will refill the reservoirs

5. US to Delay Troop Withdrawl from Syria   World Israel News   Jan 1st

President Trump has agreed to give the U.S. military about four months to withdraw the 2,000 American troops in Syria, administration officials said on Monday, backtracking from his abrupt order two weeks ago that the military pull out within 30 days, according to a report in The New York Times. The newspaper report also followed the comments of a senior Israeli official that PM Netanyahu had asked President Trump to make the withdrawal from Syria a more gradual process. The official was quoted by reporters traveling with the prime minister on his current state visit to Brazil. He said that Netanyahu had made the request during a phone call with Trump. The Israeli prime minister is expected to discuss the planned Syria pullout when he meets with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Brasilia Tuesday. Both men are in Brazil for the inauguration of Jair Bolsonar as Brasil’s new president. PM Netanyahu also has a meeting planned in Jerusalem next Sunday with U.S. national security adviser John Bolton. Pray that the situation in Syria will be brought under full control before the US military forces leave.

6. Mystery Iranian Plane Suspected of Carrying Weapons to Hizbollah & Syria

An Iranian cargo plane that has been flagged as flying suspicious cargo to Damascus and Beirut made dozens of flights in the fall of 2017, according to flight tracking data. An analysis of the flights shows that this plane routinely flies to Damascus and also has flown to Beirut, Qatar and Istanbul. Western intelligence sources said in September that Fars Air Qeshm, a civilian airline in Iran, was ?suspected of smuggling weapons into Lebanon.”It was linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps according to a Washington Institute for Near East Policy 2017. In April of 2018, it was also flagged for suspicion of flying weapons to Syria. We examined data of a Fars Air Qeshm 747 from September 17 to December. September 17 was chosen because that is the date of the downing of a Russian IL-20 near Latakia in northern Syria during an Israeli airstrike. Since then, Russia has supplied Syria with S-300s. Fox News also published a report on September 3 identifying unusual flights by the 747 to Beirut. A separate study showed the Fars Air Qeshm 747 had made 63 flights over a one-year period ending on September 17. Pray for the truth about the Fars Air 747 be exposed internationally and that the current Islamic Iranian Regime to be replaced

7. PM Netanyahu: Christians Are Israel’s Best Friends and Vice Versa    Israel Today News   Dec 31st

Israel has no better friends than those in the global Evangelical Christian community. And the global Evangelical Christian community has no better friend than Israel. That was the message conveyed on Sunday by Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Brazil’s massive Evangelical Christian community. PM Netanyahu is in Brazil with his wife, Sara, and their eldest son, Yair, to attend the inauguration of President-elect Jair Bolsonaro. Similar to the election of Donald Trump in the US, the inexperienced and controversial Bolsonaro is believed to have been swept into office by Brazil’s Evangelical Christians, who were fed up with long years of corrupt and ineffective governance by liberal lawmakers. Also like Trump, the brash Bolsonaro has ruffled feathers both at home and abroad with his unequivocal support for Israel and his promise to move Brazil’s embassy to Jerusalem. In addressing a gathering of Brazilian Christians, Netanyahu called the relationship between local believers and the Jewish state “an alliance of brothers.”  We have no better friends in the world than the evangelical community, and the evangelical community has no better friend in the world than Israel. Pray that both Israelis and Christians understand their very special GOD designed relationship
