David’s Comment: Be Encouraged – We Do Have a Hope and a Future
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
The LORD has been sending Josie and I ‘Out of Zion’ for more than 20 years now. Initially we were simply sensing the call to take the Gospel to the Jew first (Romans 1:16),which we did for several years to the former Soviet Union, however very quickly I sensed the Lord redirecting my focus to spend most of my time bring the message of His plans and purposes for Israel and the Church in these ‘latter days’. Many of you have heard me bring this message in person. I Praise the LORD that wherever I share this message, many people have their eyes opened to the true relationship of the Church and Israel, and many people have a Holy Spirit inspired change of their heart attitude towards Israel and the Jewish people. Josie and I have been very encouraged by the fruit of our labors over the last 20 years. We have received many positive testimonies from people who have been blessed by our ministry. As a Messianic Jew, that is what I am called to do – to be a blessing and a light to the Nations, so we are blessed to know that we are fulfilling this GOD-given calling.
In spite of what I have just written, I want to tell you that I can still feel discouraged at times. Particularly when I begin to consider the extent and depth of the effects of Replacement Theology that are still rooted in the Church around the world. It is rampant and even wonderful God-loving believers are affected by it and do not even realise it. I am referring to those Christians who have no interest or concern at all for Israel and the Jewish people. The heart of GOD aches for His Land and the Jewish people, so don’t you think it ‘normal’ that those who are truly Born Again by the Spirit of the GOD of Israel would have this same heart of love, zeal and concern for Israel and the Jewish people? Sadly, because of the effects of 1900 years of Replacement Theology, many times Believers who have had a Holy Spirit revelation concerning God’s love for Israel, are considered ‘strange’, often being referred to as “the Israel nuts” or worse. You may have heard me say this before – “You are the normal ones” and it is the others who are not behaving in line with the Word of GOD.
Also I get a number of people writing to me, who are feeling discouraged as they read some of the new items in the Carmel Alert that are really bad news for Israel, or for their own nation. On one hand it may be bad news, especially for those who live here in Israel, and many times the immediate future does not look very positive for Israel and for true Christians. But on the other hand, the Bible says that these things must take place to fulfill the prophecies connected to the Lords return. It really is a case of when you see these things taking place, LOOK UP for our redemption draws NEAR.
My purpose for writing this comment is that I want to encourage you. Yes, as I said above, the enemy often tries to discourage me too, by trying to get me to focus on the amount of opposition and lack of Godliness in today’s world. However when I catch myself slipping into that mode, I begin to consider all of our ministry partnerst, and all of the people who have had a ‘heart-change’ on hearing the Biblical truth about Israel. It is also reassuring to know that there are others out there preaching a similar message, and to know the numbers of Christians who are waking up to the truth about Israel is increasing all over the world, especially in Asia, Africa and India. Even former Muslim Christians are beginning to love, pray for, and stand with Israel.
YHVH is at work in the Earth today as He wraps up the end of this age. All we need to do is believe His Word and no matter what things look like, He IS in control, and the prophecies will be fulfilled so that Heaven can release Yeshua to return to the Earth to take up His rightful place upon the Throne of David in the city of the King – an undivided Jerusalem.
I want to encourage you, DON’T let the Devil steal the joy and excitement of being alive at ‘such a time as this’. We live in the most exciting period of time since the Lord’s first coming. Whether it concerns Israel, the state of the Church, or your own personal situation, we need to be a prophetic people – declaring & walking out the Word of the Lord. These are truly the ‘Days of Elijah’ – lets make the words of that song, the song of our hearts as we endeavor to be good ‘fellow-workers’ of the Creator of the Universe – the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Holy One of Israel.
Many of you are our valued and treasured intercessors. We will never be able to say enough times how much we deeply value and appreciate your partnership in this work, and how much we need you all. We see the warfare only increasing as time goes on and as we continue to go forth with the Word of The LORD. Josie and I want to take the opportunity this week to express that gratitude and say once again – “TODAH RABAH” – Thank You, and we pray daily that the GOD of Israel bless you all with every blessing of Abraham.
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom …… David & Josie

1. Both Israelis & Arabs Reject Two State Solution INN News Jan 26th
Ever since the Oslo Accords were signed in 1993, the accepted mantra has been that a Palestinian state must be established alongside Israel in order to solve the Israeli-Arab conflict. However, a new survey conducted by the Center for Peace Research at Tel Aviv University and the Palestinian Center for Policy and Research in Ramallah reveals that the degree of trust in the possibility of a solution – on both the Israeli and Arab sides – has deteriorated to a new low. As part of the poll, respondents were asked their opinions of a theoretical peace plan that would be signed between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA). The plan includes the establishment of a demilitarized Palestinian state, an Israeli withdrawal to pre-June 1967 lines with equal land swaps, family reunification in Israel of 100,000 Arab refugees, western Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and eastern Jerusalem as the capital of “Palestine” (dividing the Old City between the two sides). After seeing the plan, 54 percent of Israeli Jews said they opposed it and 57 percent of Arabs opposed the initiative. Please continue to pray that the 2 State Solution remains a dead duck
2. Israeli Farmers Breathe a Sign of Relief INN News Jan 26th
After several days of rain and strormy weather, farmers in northern Israel are beginning to breathe a sigh of relief. Rabbi Yehoshua Van Dyke, who serves as the rabbi of the Ramat Magshimim moshav in northern Israel, said, “For over two months, we’ve been saying a special prayer for rain, and thank G-d, we have been answered.” “The amount of rain has almost reached half the annual average for this month, and farmers hope that the rain forecasted for Friday and Saturday will bring us to a total of 300 millimeters (11.8”), which is just about the annual average for this month.
“It’s true that the average is low and there were years with an average of over 500 millimeters (19.7″), but still, the farmers are smiling. Until now, they were upset and worried. Now, we’ve received good news.” Please pray for the rains to continue steadily until the Summer begins
3. Lebanon Becoming Iran’s Missile Factory INN News Jan 28th
In an article published in Lebanese and in Arab media, the IDF Spokesman, Brigadier General Ronen Manlis, calls upon the citizens of Lebanon to open their eyes to the Iranian takeover of their country, reports Ynet. “Lebanon is turning into one big missile factory by act and omission of the Lebanese authorities and a blind eye turned by many groups in the international community,” Manlis warned. “It is no longer transfer of arms, money, or advice,” the article said. “De facto, Iran has opened a new branch, ‘Lebanon branch – Iran is here.’ The IDF is prepared and ready for all scenarios, and plans to further improve its capabilities and readiness throughout the year. As we have proven in recent years, and those who need to know about it know, our security red lines are clear, and we prove this every week. The choice is yours, the citizens of Lebanon. Please pray that the Lebanese people wake up to who their real enemies are
4. White House Scorns Abba Israel Today News Jan 27th
The White House was none too impressed by the Palestinian leadership’s temper tantrum following the president’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. And the Americans were downright scornful after the Palestinians then went crying to Europe and attempted to eject Trump from the Middle East peace process. PA leader Mahmoud Abbas was in Brussels this week in a bid to convince the European Union to supplant the United States as the primary third-party broker in the peace process. Abbas has insisted that following Trump’s Jerusalem declaration, the Palestinians will no longer accept American leadership in seeking a resolution to the conflict. But the Europeans poured cold water on Abbas’ ambitions. While the EU did sympathize with Palestinian anger over Trump acknowledging Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, they nevertheless stated that no final status agreement could possibly be reached without American involvement. “No effort will ever bring the two sides to the table if the international multilateral framework does not include the United States,” said EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini. A day later, a White House official who spoke about the issue could hardly conceal his disdain for the Palestinian leadership’s behavior. The official noted that the European nations’ own frustration with Trump’s position notwithstanding, “they all want to work with the US, despite the Palestinian reaction.” Please pray that the Europeans do not give in to manipulation by Abbas
5. President Trump Scores Diplomatic Victory – France Will not Recognise a Palestinian State World Israel News Jan 30th
French President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that he would not recognise Palestine as an independent state as a reaction to US President Donald Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Several European nations, including Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, and Slovenia, are reportedly now mulling over not recognising an independent Arab Palestine in response to Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem. Please pray that no more nations will recognise the illegitimate state of Palestine
6. P.M. Netanyahu; ?We are Already Moving to Prevent an Iranian Military Foothold in Syria W Jan 29th
Israel’s Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told reporters Monday evening, after his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow: ?Israel will not tolerate Iranian high-precision missiles [in Lebanon and Syria], and if need be, we will strike them in Lebanon.? As for an Iranian foothold in Syria, Netanyahu said that Israel is at a crossroads: ?Is Iran establishing a military presence there or is this process being cut short? I said to Putin that if it is not, it will be up to us to do this. In actual fact, we are already taking action in this regard.? Please pray that all Iranian plans and preparations to attack Israel will fall back on Iran
