David’s Comment: Between the Heavens and the Earth
Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, the authorites, the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the Heavenly places
Josie and I are currently on a 2 week ministry tour in Wales and England. I have been speaking about current world events. and their relevance to the Kingdom of YHVH. The message looks at the influence of the history of our nations, specifically Europe and the USA, and how our lives today are still being influenced by what happened in the past. The Bible tells us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities that exist above us in the Heavenlies. These spiritual powers influence the situation on the ground by manipulating our political and religious leadership. One of the things that they do is to cause human beings to erect monuments that exert spiritual influence into the natural realm. For example …. statues, obelisks, pyramids, and occultic symbols placed in the foundations of buildings.
As the ancient Israelites prepared to go into the ‘Promised Land’, God instructed them to pull down and destroy the high places, which they partially did, but not completely. interestingly the areas that cause modern Israel the most trouble are the places where the ancient idols were not removed. Israel was never able to fully rise up to become the nation that God had called and destined it to be because of the influence of the powers above the ground, and of the remaining high places on or under the ground. These spiritual powers are still influencing life today in Israel. For example, in one of the main hospitals in Haifa, on one floor doctors are doing amazing surgery on babies while they are still in the room, and yet in another area of the hospital late term abortions are being carried out. The murder of these babies is taking place not far from the location where the ancient Israelites sacrificed their babies to Mollock.
As we have been driving around the UK, although the countryside is extremely beautiful and is blessed by much rain, we can clearly see by the faces and demeanour of the people that see on the street, that they are under the influence of the powers of darkness, and at the very least there is no blessing on their lives. Of course one of the reasons for this is that most of the people we are seeing are not born again and not walking in the blessings of Abraham. Although the UK has bee a “Christian” country for more than a thousand years, the powers and principalities in the Heavenlies still exert their spiritual influence over the people and many of the ancient pagan idols and symbols remain on and under the ground. For instance as we drove into a small town in Wales for our meeting last Saturday we were greeted by a Egyptian obelisks in the very centre of the main street.
Most of the western nations are similarly full of Egyptian, Greek and other pagan architecture and symbolism, on or under the ground, which we believe add to the influence of the powers and principalities that exist in the air above us, and this is the reason that it is so difficult to establish the Kingdom of God in our nations, Most of the western world that in the past had some degree of Biblical righteousness, have over the last 50 years slid seriously back to the pagan practices of their pre-Christian past. Africa, Asia, and India also have very strong spiritual powers in their cultures, but the Kingdom of God is rapidly making ground in those nations. I believe that the reason for the amazing growth of the Church in the Africa, Asia and India, while at the same time it is in decline in the west, is that the most of the people in the western world have lost the knowledge of the ways and the powerful influence of the spiritual realm.
To really see a turn around of the situation in the west, we must get back to serious intercessory prayer and spiritual warfare, taking back the ground that the enemy has taken from us. In the name of Yeshua, we should tear down every spiritual stronghold, and ideally we should destroy all un-Biblical monuments and search for and destroy all un-Godly symbols, especially those in the foundations of our churches and government buildings. Of course that will not be easy as these things are deeply rooted in our culture and most people have no revelation of these things, but until they come down, the fullness of the blessings that YHVH wants to pour out on Israel and the nations will be hindered.
2 Corinthians 2:11 Do not be ignorant of the enemy or his devices As I wrote in my comment 2 weeks ago, perhaps the tide has turned and there has been a ‘shift’ in the spiritual realm. I will share some practical steps we can take to begin to bring about change in next weeks comment.
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom …… David & Josie

1. Number of Jews Living in the West Bank Increases Times of Israel Feb 10th
The number of Israeli settlers living in the West Bank surged past 421,000 in 2016. The Yesha Council said the number of settlers in the West Bank had grown by 3.9 percent since 2015, twice the rate of population growth inside Israel. Its figures exclude residents of Jewish neighborhoods in East Jerusalem, home to more than 200,000 Israelis. While Israel considers a united Jerusalem to be its capital and applied Israeli law to areas of the city captured in the 1967 Six Day War, Palestinians claim East Jerusalem as the capital of a future state. The US and much of the international community says the city?s status should be determined in peace talks between the sides. Growth had slowed slightly since 2012 because of building freezes by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu?s government under international pressure, particularly from the Obama administration. Since the recent inauguration of US President Donald Trump in January, Israel has approved some 5,500 homes in the West Bank and over 500 homes in East Jerusalem. The Knesset has just passed the Regulation Law, allowing Israel to expropriate private Palestinian land on which Jewish settler outposts were built. It legalizes dozens of wildcat outposts and thousands of settler homes in the West Bank. Palestinians on whose land outposts were constructed illegally will receive monetary compensation or alternative plots of land under the law. The law prompted international outcry ? although Trump?s administration was conspicuously silent. Please pray that Israelis continue to move to these areas that YHVH promised to Abraham and the Bible calls Judea & Samaria
2. Terrorist Wounds 6 Israelis in Market Attack IN N News Feb 9th
A Palestinian teenager opened fire and stabbed shoppers with a screwdriver at a market in central Israel wounding six people, including a man and woman in their 50s, a man in his 40s, and a woman in her 30s. Most of the victims were shot by the terrorist, while at least one was stabbed. The injuries of all six were said to be light-to-moderate. Police say the terrorist, a 19-year old man from the Palestinian Authority city of Shechem in Samaria, was subdued by civilians at the scene while still carrying his gun. He was then handed over to authorities. A senior EMT who responded to the attack said the market was in ?chaos? following the shootings. “There was a riot and chaos when I arrived on the scene. I identified a 30-year old female sitting on a chair at the entrance of a store. She suffered wounds to her limbs but was fully conscious. Ten meters away, there were a male and a female in their 50s, also fully conscious, with wounds to their lower extremities. We provided them with preliminary medical treatment and quickly evacuated them to the hospital.” Since 2015, Palestinian attackers have carried out numerous stabbings, shootings and assaults using cars, killing 41 Israelis and two visiting Americans, plus wounding many others. Pray for the full physical and emotional recovery of those wounded in Thursday?s attack.
3. Chief Rabbi Blesses PM Netanyahu Ahead of His Meeting with President Trump Israel Today News Feb 13th
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday departed for his fateful first meeting with Donald Trump since becoming the 45th president of the United States. But before Netanyahu left, Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef blessed him and prayed for the meeting. ?May the Holy One, Blessed be He, be with your words. You are the representative of the entire Jewish nation, and there is no doubt God will aid you,? prayed Rabbi Yosef. A day earlier, Netanyahu presided over a fiery cabinet meeting where some ministers put heavy pressure on him to take advantage of President Trump?s sympathy to renounce the two-state solution and the so-called ?Oslo Accords.? Netanyahu tried to chill expectations, insisting that even with a president like Trump, there would be limitations to what Israel could do. Even so, if the meeting ends with either Netanyahu or Trump committing to a Palestinian state, the prime minister will be in for a political firestorm when he gets home. Please pray that the 2 leaders will agree to establish GOD’s ‘road map’ for the Middle East
4. Government Minister Warns About Supreme Court INN News Feb 14th
Knesset Member, Yehuda Glick (Likud) criticized the Supreme Court on Sunday as he expressed his support for a bill which would prevent the court from overturning laws passed by the Knesset. In a radio interview, Glick said: “This is a situation in which there is an existential threat to our democracy. There is an election for legislators every four years. When the Supreme Court has decided that it will decide what is good for us, then unfortunately, the Supreme Court has become a threat to democracy. Once again the Supreme Court annuls laws, and it is not entirely clear where that authority comes from. We need to get back to a reality in which there is a balance and each side knows its limitations. As soon as the Supreme Court shows that it preempts authority and rules independently, and does not allow a place for democracy, we must bring this phenomenon to a halt,” Glick said. Please pray that the proposed bill which would prevent Israel?s Supreme Court from overturning laws passed by the Knesset will be passed and put into effect.
5. PM Netanyahu and President Trump Meet at White House Jerusalem Post Feb 16th
Donald Trump said he would support either a one-state or a two-state resolution when he met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House and pledged to make a deal to end the Israel- Palestinian conflict. ?I?m looking at two states and one state. I am very happy with the one that both parties like. I thought for a while the two state might be easier to do, but honestly, if Bibi and the Palestinians, if Israel and the Palestinians are happy, then I am happy with the one they like the best,? Trump said. He is the first US president in at least two decades to refrain from pledging allegiance to the idea of a two-state paradigm and to open the door to the possibility of alternative ideas to achieve peace between Israeli and Palestinians, as well as in the wider region. Netanyahu, in turn, alluded to his continued support for a two-state resolution to the conflict, noting that his opinion on the matter had not changed in the eight years since he first spoke of two states for two peoples. Please pray that the 2 State plan is dropped forever
6. High Terror Alert High in USA & Europe FOX News Feb 14th
The USA and European terror forecast for 2017 ‘looks alarming,’ in part because of increased pressure on ISIS and other terror groups on their home turf, according to a monthly assessment by House lawmakers. Officials predicted necessary efforts to crush foreign terror groups could actually spur more attacks on Western soil. Coming attacks in the USA and Europe could be carried out by lone wolves as well as homegrown terrorists who return from fighting in such places as Iraq, Syria and Somalia. ?I am very encouraged that the Trump administration is preparing to put greater pressure on jihadists in their safe havens throughout the world,? said House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul. ?But as they do, we can expect to see militants [terrorists] returning to the West to build new networks and to plot more deadly operations.? The report is based on information gleaned from the media, publicly available government data and documents and nongovernmental assessments. Since the beginning of 2016, there have been plots or attacks by 39 homegrown jihadists in 19 USA states. Two instances occurred on American soil last month: The attack at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport carried out in the first week of 2017 by Esteban Santiago, radicalized by ISIS videos, and the 31 Jan. murder of a Denver Regional Transportation District contract security officer by a suspect carrying jihadist material in his backpack. The report also cites numerous incidents in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
7. PM Netanyahu: Israel is Anti-Terror Actions Provides a Service to Europe INN News Feb 15th
Israel?s PM Netanyahu said on 7 Feb. 2017, “Israel is at the forefront of countries that fight against radical Islam. We share intelligence on terrorism.” Speaking at the beginning of a meeting with Belgian PM Charles Michel, Netanyahu stressed, “It is important to recognize that Israel is the most powerful force in the Middle East preventing the collapse of the western Middle East. If this would happen, it would cause terrible suffering to many millions of residents of the region, and the flow of refugees to Europe would increase. Israel prevents it. In many ways it is one of the most powerful forces preventing the strengthening of the tragedy. I think in that sense, Israel is doing an important service to the peoples of Europe including Belgium. Please pray that all of the nations begin to appreciate Israel’s experience in terror prevention
