David’s Comment: Israel is a Miracle but the Next War is Brewing
1 John 5:19 The whole world lies under the influence of the evil one.
Most of you know that I was in hospital for two days last week after suffering a short term partial memory loss. I was thoroughly examined at a level far above what I expected, and Praise YAH they found no physical problems, which left the diagnosis as Global Transient Amnesia, which did not come as a shock to Josie and I as the apostolic ministry that YHVH has called me to, makes me a globally transient person. I am now ‘firing on all cylinders’ again and was discharged last Friday morning in time to celebrate Jordan’s birthday lunch and the Shabbat with my family. So all is good and more evidence that GOD is good.
The above brief report is just the introduction to two things I want to share with you this week ……
1/ Israel is a MIRACLE nation …… Just 70 years ago Israel did not exist as a nation and the land was mostly barren desert and swamp. The two days I spent in hospital last week have deeply impacted me spiritually. The medical facilities in Israel are amazing, a fact which should not surprise as, as most of the latest medical and scientific advances, come from the Israel. The treatment I received was also amazing – most of the doctors and nurses are Israeli Arabs, and they treat their Arab and Jewish patients wonderfully, and the cleaning staff keep the hospital immaculate. As I wrote in the introduction, they went much further than ‘the extra mile’, to make sure that I was OK. I had an EKG and ECK test, two CT scans, a chest Xray and 2 complete blood tests. And I did not have to pay one cent above our very reasonable monthly medical fund contribution. As I sat at the window in the visitors room looking out at the extensive view of Haifa city and port, I could see all the way to Israel’s northern border with Lebanon just 30 km or 20 miles away. Contemplating the treatment I was receiving, I was once again impacted by the MIRACLE that the GOD of Israel has done in this nation over the last 70 years. My experience last week will make Israel’s 70th birthday celebrations next April even more sweeter !
2/ Sadly our neighbours, the international politicians, and most of the world do not see Israel in the same light. They see Israel as a cruel occupying power and an apartheid state, which is as far from the truth as you can get. Regardless of the fact that most modern scientific, medical and technological advances that the whole world enjoys, come from Israel and the Jewish people, most of world hates us today, as they have always hated the Jews. Sadly that is not an exaggeration, nor should it come as a surprise, as the Bible explains why that is in 1 John 5:19. And just as we have seen during nearly 4000 years of Israel’s history, the desire to see the end of Israel and the Jewish people is still out there – in a major way.
We have seen this very clearly since President Trump kept his election promise that the USA will officially recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and will move the US Embassy back to where every nation’s embassy should be – Jerusalem. This major decision that all previous US presidents, who made the same election promise but failed to keep, has understandably attracted furious anger in the Muslim world and much criticism from the majority of world leaders and the secular media. The violent riots which broke out in the West Bank and East Jerusalem have died down, but this move may well be the match that lights the fuse of the next war in the Middle East, and it may be the ‘biggie’. The Israel hating regime in Iran continues to arm and finance the Hamas and Hizbollah terror groups, (and others), and they are all growing impatient to be rid of what they call ‘the Zionist cancer.’
As I also wrote in the family newsletter last week, one possible scenario that came to mind while I was in China and the equally evil regime in North Korea fired another large missile, was that perhaps the Devil is stirring up a conflict between North Korea and the USA, to enable Iran and her proxies to launch a major offensive against Israel. If the US is occupied in a conflict with North Korea, it will seriously reduce the US’s ability to come to the aid of Israel, and there is no other nation that would come to assist Israel. The current situation has the potential to turn into a major war, which will affect the entire world.
The Muslim dominated Arab League, the United Nations and the European Union are all major tools of Satan, which explains why all three organisations are so prejudiced against Israel. This week the UN intended to draft yet another anti Israel resolution denying that Jerusalem is the capital, however the resolution was vetoed by the USA. That will not stop the Devil inspired political leaders of the great majority of the world continuing to oppose Israel’s right to choose what city shall be the capital. Now it does not seem out of the realm of possibility that an international force will be despatched against Israel to militarily enforce the will of the nations and to forceably take at least half of Jerusalem off its rightful owners – the Jewish people.
In reality it is YHVH they are opposing, and by doing so they are placing the future of their nations and their citizens in great peril, as YHVH has made it very clear in His Word, what He will do those who oppose Him and take Israel lightly (Genesis 12:3, Joel 3:1-2, Isaiah 60:12). This can happen at any time now that President Trump has lit the fuse, and all of a sudden we will move from the events of Zechariah chapter 12:1-3 to chapter 14:1-4, where we see the LORD destroy the armies of the nations. And then in verse 5 we see the return of Yeshua. Brothers and sisters, it is getting very close – Hallelu YAH !
I have not written this to scare you, but to encourage you to prepare – to prepare for a major change in our usually quiet lifestyle, and even more important to increase your prayer activity. Please pray that in the event of a major attack against Israel. that the GOD of Israel will repeat what HE did in the Six Day War in 1967, and that every nation or terror group that attacks Israel will be completely destroyed in just a few days.
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom …… David & Josie

1. Hamas Rockets are Onset of anti-Israel War of Attrition Times of Israel News Dec 13
The rockets fired from Gaza Wednesday night, December 13, were the 12th and 13th since US President Donald Trump?s Jerusalem decision on December 6. Reliable military sources report that the daily rocket assault from Gaza is turning into a war of attrition declared by three Palestinian extremist groups; Hamas, the Jihad Islami and the Popular Resistance Committees, on the orders of the chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Al Qods external terrorist arm, and supreme commander of Iranian forces in the region. Sources reveal that the order was given Monday in a phone conversation Soleimani held with the commander of the Hamas armed wing. Tehran and the Lebanese Hizballah are eager to see Israel trapped in a rising spiral of military tension and not just from its border with the Gaza Strrip, but also at some point, emanating from new war fronts in Lebanon and Syria. At present, they are not looking for a comprehensive conflagration, but rather to subject Israel to a creeping war of attrition, like the couple of rockets which the Palestinians are firing night after night from the Gaza Strip. Pray wisdom for Israel’s government and military leaders in how to deal with the Iranain threat
2. Arabs Riot Near Joseph’s Tomb INN News Dec 14th
On Saturday, Arabs disturbed the peace near Joseph’s Tomb in Shechem (Nablus), throwing burning tires at the site. The Palestinian Authority published on social media calls to arrive at Joseph’s Tomb and damage and desecrate the holy site. Joseph’s Tomb is located in the PA area that was created in the 1993 Oslo Accords, but since it is holy to Jews as well as Muslims, the site remained under IDF guard. IN 2000, it was attacked, looted and vandalized by Arab rioters and a Druze IDF soldier bled to death because rescue forces could not reach him in time. In 2002, recurrent terrorist attacks led to IDF Operation Defensive Shield which returned Israeli security control to Nablus. Several years later, the tomb was refurbished by Israel and Jewish groups are once again allowed to coordinate visits to pray there. Pray that the Israeli soldiers keep this and all holy sites under their control and that peace is restored and maintained
3. The Silence of 3 Powerful Countries on Jerusalem?s Status Speaks Volumes on Their Policy Towards Israel Algemiener News Dec 14th
Foreign ministers from India, Russia and China notably refrained from recognizing ?East Jerusalem? as the capital of Palestine at their annual meeting in New Delhi this week ? seven days after the US decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city. The decision not to restate their position on Jerusalem by the 3 countries was in marked contrast to their joint call at last year?s meeting in Moscow for a ?sovereign, independent, viable and united State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital.? At this year?s 15th annual meeting, their statement on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict stressed support for ?an independent, viable, territorially contiguous Palestinian State living side by side in peace and security with Israel within mutually agreed and internationally recognized borders,? without mentioning the issue of Jerusalem. The absence of Jerusalem from that statement is particularly striking given the strident opposition to the US move in the Arab and Muslim worlds. Turkey & Iran which have close diplomatic and security ties with all 3 countries, have led the denunciation of the US announcement on Jerusalem. India in particular stands out for not having even taken a position on the US decision as relations between Israel and India were handed an unprecedented boost by the Indian Prime Minister’s high profile visit to Israel in July of this year. Russia?s individual position is also under scrutiny, following the announcement by its foreign ministry last April that Moscow recognised West as Israel’s captial. China?s official statement in response to Trump?s decision expressed strong concern at the security implications of the move but stopped short of full-throated condemnation. Pray that all the nations stop appeasing the Muslim claim to Jerusalem and fully recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
4. More Arabs Coming Forth With the Truth About Jerusalem Israel News Dec 14th
A Saudi academic defended the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel?s capital and called on Arabs to ?accept? Israel?s historic roots in the holy city, a move he says can ultimately bring peace to the region. Abdulhameed Hakeem, the head of the Middle East Center for Strategic and Legal Studies in Jeddah, said that President Donald Trump?s declaration on Jerusalem ?will prompt a positive shock towards moving the stagnant water surrounding [the diplomatic] negotiations.? We Arabs have to come an understanding with the other side and know what its demands are so that we can succeed in peace negotiation efforts,? Hakeem said in remarks to the al-Hurra Arabic-language TV channel on Saturday. ?We have to admit and realize that Jerusalem is a religious symbol for the Jews, that is just as holy for them as Mecca and Medina are for Muslims,? Hakeem said. He derided Islamic anti-Semitism, saying that it was instilled by Arab leaders for ?purely political interests.? ?Arab mentality must free itself from the heritage of former Egyptian president Nasser and political Islam of both the Sunni and Shia sects, which has instilled for purely political interests the culture of hating Jews and denying their historic right in the region,? the scholar said. Hakeem?s comments have prompted angry responses on social media, the UK-based Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported, harshly condemning what they consider an appeal for the ?normalization of relations? with Israel. Other Muslim scholars have come forth with the truth about Jerusalem?s history. Mobarak Haidar, a renowned Pakistani historian and author of multiple books, recently declared to the ?Muslims of the world? that they ?have no religious basis to rule Jerusalem.? Egyptian scholar and novelist Youssef Ziedan conceded in an interview in December 2015 that the the Temple Mount complex in the heart of Israel?s capital is not sacred to the Muslims . Pray that many more Arabs come out in support of Jerusalem being the rightful capital of Israel.
5. President Trump Warns Other Nations Concerning Jerusalem Israel Today News Dec 19th
After the US vetoed a UN Security Council resolution condemning President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the nations of the world vowed to take the matter to the broader General Assembly, where there are no vetoes. The Trump Admin warned that these nations would do better to keep their mouths shut. At the UN we’re always asked to do more & give more. So, when we make a decision, at the will of the American ppl, abt where to locate OUR embassy, we don’t expect those we’ve helped to target us. On Thurs there’ll be a vote criticizing our choice. Haley expounded on her threat in a letter sent to several fellow UN ambassadors, which read: “The president will be watching this vote carefully and has requested I report back on those countries who voted against us. We will take note of each and every vote on this issue.” After exercising America’s veto power in the Security Council, Trump’s fiery envoy berated the international community for putting forward such a resolution in the first place, calling it an “insult” that “won’t be forgotten.” The resolution doesn’t call out the United States by name, but rather laments recent changes to an international status quo that has long denied Jewish historical and religious claims to Jerusalem. The upcoming vote in the General Assembly does not carry the same legal weight as that in the Security Council, but it also can’t be vetoed. Pray that the international leaders come to their senses concerning Israel and Jerusalem
6. Results of UN Anti-Jerusalem Vote Jerusalem Post Dec 21st
In a blow to US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the UN overwhelmingly voted in favor of calling for the US to withdraw its decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. 128 voted in favor, 9 voted against and 35 abstained. PM Netanyahu used strong words to bash the international body even before the vote, calling it a “house of lies” and proclaiming that “the State of Israel rejects this vote outright” and that “Jerusalem is our capital, we will continue to build there and additional embassies will move to Jerusalem.” Pray that the USA does not back down and that the GOD of Israel will cast His vote against the nations that voted against Him
7. Israel About to Appoint First Arab Muslim Judge INN News Dec 21st
Israel has had Christian Arab Supreme Court justices, but now a Muslim is being promoted by Bar Association reps. in selection commitee. Since the establishment of the State of Israel, two Christian Arab judges have served in the Supreme Court. However, an Arab-Muslim judge in permanent appointment has yet to serve in the Supreme Court, and now the chances of such a scenario seem greater than ever. The Bar Association representatives in the Judicial Selection Committee have decided to promote the election to the Supreme Court of Tel Aviv District Court Judge Chaled Kabub, considered one of the most respected among district judges. In coming weeks, the Judicial Selection Committee will convene and elect two Supreme Court justices to replace judges Danziger and Shoham who are retiring from the Supreme Court in 2018. According to the Bar Association representatives, the appointment of a Muslim judge to the Supreme Court will advance the principle of representing all sectors of Israeli society in the legal system, as the system itself believes should be the case. Pray that this will forever shut the mouths of those who label Israel as an Apartheid State.
