David’s Comment: Israel – the 4000 Year Saga Continues
Psalm 129:5-6 May all who hate Zion be put to shame and turned backward!  Let them be like the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up,
As the Jewish world prepared to celebrate the Exodus of their ancestors from Egypt almost 4000 years ago last Friday afternoon, about 30,000 Gazans, seething with an ancient hatred of their Jewish neighbours and cousins, gathered at various locations along the Israel – Gaza border, to begin 6 weeks of ‘peaceful’ demonstrations against the fact the they are not able to enter Israel, and against the planned relocation of the US Embassy to Jerusalem on May 14th. If you saw news footage of the demonstrations, you will have seen that it was not a ‘peaceful’ event, but a near riot by a tyre burning, rock throwing rabble of brainwashed, hate filled Muslims.

Nothing has changed over the last 4000 years when it comes to Israel and the Jewish people. There is always someone who the Devil influences to carry out his plan to destroy the people of GOD. Those who make themselves the enemies of Israel are really opposing the Creator of the Universe, and they always pay the same price – the destruction that they plan for Israel, falls back on them. It would be very wise for the Muslims and others who see the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people to consider the fate of the Pharoah’s army, and the words of Pharoah (in the Ten Commandments) when he finally realised the truth after the death of all the first-born of Egypt, and the total destruction of his army. In a state of crushing defeat the Pharoah said “the God of Moses is God.”

As the saga of Satan’s desperation to destroy the Jewish people moved into the 21st century, he gained a new and powerful weapon – the news media. Hitler’s Nazis used the much less equipped media of their time to fuel the hatred of the Jewish people that fed the flames of the Holocaust. Today’s hi-tech media is exponentially more powerful and impactive when it comes to deceiving and manipulating the way the general population thinks about the key issues facing the world today, Israel being the perfect example. As Hamas must have planned for, the news media parroted their claims of ‘peaceful demonstrations’ and almost immediately began to make it look like Israel was using excessive force against the ‘peaceful demonstators.” And of course the UN and numerous world leaders rebuke Israel and say nothing about the terrorists who created the situation.

The true situation is that the majority of the people killed and injured are known terrorists who were not demonstrating peacefully, but shooting or launching projectiles at IDF soldiers and attempting to break through the security fence. Watching the chaos at the Gaza border, we must ask the question “what do they really want”? They have their own ethnically cleansed territory, where not one Jewish soldier or civilian is allowed to enter. If they leave Israel alone, Israel leaves them alone. Many nations send large amounts of money and supplies into Gaza, but most of that is take and misappropriated by Hamas. So what are they really demonstrating for? You will read the answer in news item # 2 – The leader of Hamas openly stated that the goal is that all of ‘Palestine’ will be theirs.

The Israeli government tries hard to get the truth out in defense of its actions, but it is like pushing against a tsunami wave. Israel needs as many ambassadors as possible to stand in solidarity with our tiny nation. As the majority of the world falls for the lies of the Devil and is unknowingly serving his scheme to destroy Israel in the hope of stopping the return of Messiah Yeshua, you can make a difference. May the LORD bless you and your families as you bless Israel, by standing with us and speaking up to defend Israel when you hear others spreading the lies they have heard through the media. If your congregation does not have an exisiting prayer for Israel group, may I encourage you to seek the LORD in prayer as to whether you should begin a small group to pray for Israel. Josie and I can assist you with prayer points and other information.

Yes the 4000 year old saga continues, but we know that YHVH will have the victory in the end which is getting very close, and will come even quicker, as the Body of Messiah rises up to pray (2 Peter 3:12)

Please pray for extra Angelic protection over Israel’s borders this Friday and Saturday as it is the end of Passover, and more protests are expected in Gaza over the double Shabbat weekend

The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel.  Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their GOD.  Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.

Shabbat Shalom ……  David & Josie

1. President Trumps Tells Arabs to ‘Pipe Down’ Over Gaza Deaths    Israel Today News   April 1st

President Trump at the weekend instructed his ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, to block a Security Council statement blaming Israel for Palestinian deaths during Friday’s Hamas-led riots along the Gaza security fence.  Hamas reported that at least 16 Palestinians had been shot and killed by Israeli forces after the terror group sent some 30,000 Gazans to attempt to breach the barrier and enter southern Israel. Israeli officials described the mass incident as extremely violent in nature, and video footage supported that claim. But Palestinian and other Arab leaders attempted to paint the confrontation as a “peaceful demonstration” during which Israeli troops opened fire unprovoked, resulting in what they called “war crimes.” Acting on behalf of the Palestinians, Kuwait submitted a Security Council draft that contained a veiled condemnation of Israel and demanded an “independent and transparent investigation” into the Palestinian deaths.
Such investigations have in the past served only to whitewash Hamas and lay the bulk of the blame at Israel’s feet. Trump was having none of it, and neither was the UK, which joined America in opposing the statement. Pray that the US government will continue to hold the PA and its leaders accountable for their anti-Israel, anti USA behaviour

2. Hamas Claims Demonstrations Will Lead to Return of all ‘Palestine’  INN News   April 1st

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh says that Friday’s violent protests on the Gaza border are just the beginning of a mass movement that would lead to “the return to all of Palestine”. He said that Friday’s protest that left 17 Gazans dead, including 10 terrorists, “changed the balance of power and the rules of the political game and opened the way for the return to the land of Palestine.”
His remarks echoed sentiments he said at the march itself. According to the Hamas leader, “we are here to declare today that our people will not agree to keep the ?right of return? only as a slogan”. He added that the march “proves to U.S. President Trump, his peace deal and everyone who stands with it, that there will be no concession on Jerusalem, no alternative to Palestine and no solution but  the right of return”. Other Hamas leaders vowed that the Friday’s violence was only the beginning, warning that Israel can expect similar scenes for weeks to come. Hamas’ Gaza leader Yahya Sinwar said that the ‘March of Return’ is “a new phase in the Palestinian national struggle on the road to liberation”. “The March of Return will continue until we remove this temporary border” added Sinwar. Pray that the citizens of Gaza wake up to realise that they are being duped and manipulated by Hamas and these riots will fizzle out in a few days

3. IDF Identifies Most Casualties in Gaza as Known Terrorists    World News Israel    April 2nd

Despite an attempt by Hamas and the Palestinian Authority to portray those killed in Friday?s clashes as peaceful protesters, Israel already has documented proof that most of those killed were active members of a terrorist group and were directly involved in violence against Israeli forces or installations at the times of their deaths. Take Masab Salul for example. Salul, 23 was a known member of the Hamas military wing, who was shot and killed after opening fire at IDF soldiers along the Gaza border. Israel is now reportedly holding Salul?s body. Hamas has confirmed that Salul was a member, and his photo is included in a list of ?martyr?s? killed on Friday. There was no announcement of funeral arrangements for Salul, leading to speculation that his body and that of a second terrorist are being held by Israel. The IDF says that at least 10 of the 16 killed at the Gaza border Friday were terrorists, including eight who were members of the Hamas Military wing. The IDF?s Arabic language spokesman provided details to the Arabic media on the ?terrorist credentials? of the dead. Pray that the UN & Media tell show the truth concerning these so called ‘peaceful demonstrations’ and stop accusing Israel of excessive response

4. Israeli Air Force Jets Fly Undetected Over Iranian Cities   Israel Today News  March 30th

Arab media reported last week that Israeli fighter jets recently entered Iranian airspace and locked on to targets in several major Iranian cities. The jets in question were all from Israel’s new fleet of advanced F-35 stealth fighters, which were able to carry out the probing mission without detection by Iran’s Russian-supplied air defenses. All this according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida. The newspaper reported that two Israeli F-35s flew over Syria and Iraq, presumably in coordination with American forces in the region, before penetrating Iranian airspace and circling high over three large Iranian cities – Bandar Abbas, Esfahan and Shiraz. All three cities house major components of Iran’s nuclear program, and the Israeli jets practiced locking on to these targets before returning safely to Israel. Pray that Iran will heed this subtle warning from Israel and not be so foolish as to start a conflict with GOD’s nation

5. Future Saudi King Unofficially Accepts Israel      Israel Today April 3rd

Israel and Saudi Arabia still have no official diplomatic relations, but the future monarch of the oil-rich kingdom appeared to unofficially recognize the Jewish state in remarks to American media this week. We say “unofficial” because it’s still not a matter of official policy. At the same time, the Crown Prince expressing personal views in his official capacity is, well, “official.” In an interview with the US magazine The Atlantic, Prince Mohammed bin Salman was asked if he believes the Jewish people have a right to a state of their own on their ancestral homeland. Now, it’s already something for liberal mainstream media outlets to refer to this land as the “ancestral homeland” of the Jewish people, which both The Atlantic and Reuters did.  “I believe the Palestinians and the Israelis have the right to have their own land. But we have to have a peace agreement to assure the stability for everyone and to have normal relations,” he said. Prince Mohammed still wants a Palestinian Arab state in the so-called “West Bank” and Gaza, but has no problem with the State of Israel existing on the rest of the land as the nation-state of the Jewish people. It is a major breakthrough for a top Arab leader to be saying such things publicly. But Prince Mohammed went further, telling The Atlantic that he looks forward to the conclusion of an Israel-Palestinian peace deal so that the Jewish state and its Arab neighbors can finally start working together openly. “There are a lot of interests we share with Israel and if there is peace, there would be a lot of interest between Israel and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries,” the future Saudi ruler added. Pray that other Muslim leaders will come to the same acceptance of Israel as the Jewish nation

6. 100 Million + Jews Worldwide   Arutz 7 News    March 29th

As many as 95 million people worldwide may be descended from Jews, a new government report claims. The report produced by a special committee formed by the Diaspora Affairs Ministry suggests that in addition to the roughly 14 million people who identify as Jews around the globe, there are some 95 million more people who are likely descended from Jews who assimilated or were forced to convert ? groups sometimes referred to as ?lost Jews?. The notion of far-flung communities reclaiming their ancestors? Jewish heritage is not new. Perhaps most famous are the ?Anusim? (Hebrew for ?Coerced Ones?), sometimes referred to as Marranos ? Jews from the Iberian Peninsula who were forced to convert to Catholicism. Despite having nominally converted, many clandestinely practiced Judaism. As Spain and Portugal settled South and Central America, some Anusim settled in the New World, in some cases covertly maintaining their Jewish faith. Other examples of lost Jewish communities can be found in Africa and Asia. Tens of thousands of Ethiopian Jews immigrated to Israel since the 1980s, including members of the Beta Israel community known as the Falash Mura ? descendants of Jews compelled to convert to Christianity. In 2005, Israel’s Chief Rabbi recognized the Bnei Menashe, a community from eastern Indian which claimed descent from one of the Ten Lost Tribes forced into exile 2700 years ago, as the descendants of a long-lost Diaspora Jewish community. Thousands of the Bnei Menashe have immigrated to Israel over the past two decades, where they undergo conversions by the Chief Rabbinate. The report by the Diaspora Affairs Ministry?s special committee suggests  there are millions of lost Jews around the world. Pray that the LORD will reveal the lost Jews and bring them all home to Israel as His word declares in Ezekiel 36:8-10

7. Top Rabbis Believe that President Trump Will Rebuild the Temple   Israel Today News   Mary 29th

US President Trump’s unabashed support for the Jewish state and his public recognition of Jerusalem as its capital have many Israelis electrified. The American leader’s positive attitude toward Israel seems nearly illogical, especially after decades of far more hostile trends. A prominent Israeli rabbi believes the reason for this unprecedented (at least in modern times) shift is that Trump has a big role to play in the building of the Third Temple and the coming of Messiah. Rabbi Yosef Berger is the rabbi in charge of King David’s Tomb on Mount Zion, and the son of a widely revered Hasidic leader. Rabbi Berger cited a medieval rabbinical source that predicted that while the first two temples were built by Israel, the third would be built by the “descendants of Edom,” a phrase that in some later rabbinical literature is a euphemism for the Christian world. This is so that the Christians, and the ancient peoples they have come to represent in rabbinical thought, can make restitution for millennia of wrongdoing toward the Children of Israel. Rabbi Berger explained: “No leader in history has recognized Jerusalem as the capital of the Jews and Israel. [Trump] has already created a great tikkun (reparation) for the Christians through his unprecedented relationship with Jerusalem.
