David’s Comment: The U.N. (United Nothings) – A Waste of Time and Money
Psalm 33:10 the LORD (YHVH) brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He breaks the plots of the people.
I am sure that most of our readers are aware that the modern State of Israel celebrated her 70th birthday on Thursday. The rest of the world will remember this anniversary (not all happily) on the Gregorian date of May 14th, the same day that the new American embassy is to be officially opened in Jerusalem. The vast majority of other nations oppose the move of the US embassy. The U.N. and the E.U. organisations, which represent most of the world, are also strongly against the move. This should not surprise or shock us, as the E.U. is the revived Roman Empire, and the U.N. is a blatant ‘Anti-Christ’ organisation, in that it is placing itself in the role of the Messiah, who is the only One who can, and will unite the nations, when He returns to rule the world from Jerusalem.
The U.N. has the worst track since the Nazi regime when it comes to the Jewish people. It is interesting to note that the U.N. came into being after the end of World War 2, replacing the League of Nations, shortly before the modern State of Israel was voted into being at the U.N. on May 14th 1948, but since that time, the majority of U.N. resolutions have been against Israel. What has happened is that the Muslim nations have hijacked the organisation that was created to be a fair and just judge in international disagreements, that would ensure there would be no more life costing conflicts between the nations. Sadly, because of the Israel hating Muslim influence, the U.N is far from being that fair and just organisation. When it comes to Israel, the opposite is the case.
Apart from the fact that the U.N. is NOT an ‘honest broker’, the organisation is in nothing more than a powerless panel of ‘has been’ diplomats, which is a total failure when it comes to maintaining peace on planet Earth. To give evidence that I am not saying without good reason, consider the facts. The U.N. does not hesitate to condemn little Israel when she is forced to take action against those who are fanatically intent on destroying the Jewish state, but when much larger and better equipped Iran constantly calls for the destruction of Israel, which is a fellow member of the U.N., not a word is said. Over last weekend, Iran publically threatened to reduce Tel Aviv and Haifa to dust, and the U.N. is silent.
Then we have the situation that developed last week with Russia threatening to shoot down any missiles fired at Syrian chemical weapons facilities, an act that had the potential to ignite a conflict between Russia and the allied western nations, that could have led to a nuclear war. All of the nations involved are members of the U.N. and sit on the UN Security Council, and yet as far as I am aware, the U.N did not even attempt to diffuse that situation. The Secretary General of the U.N. should have immediately called all of the parties in and instructed them to stop the inciteful behavior.
Obviously that did not happen as Russia and Iran are still threatening their fellow members of the U.N.
The ultimate result of last weekends attack on the Syrian chemical weapons sites is that Russia and Iran can now see the weakness of the western nations when it comes to taking decisive military action. After the attack President Trump said that he cant fix the problems of the Middle East and the nations involved need to sort it out themselves. That gives Iran a clear message that Israel is standing alone and may well bring an Iranian attack against Israel in the near future. In February Iran sent a drone loaded with high explosives into Israel to carry out an aerial attack and last weekend Israel bombed the hangar at the T4 militray base in Syria where the drone was prepared and launched from, killing 7 Iranian military personell working there. So Israel and Iran have fired the first shots of a future war at each other already.
The current situation is dire and Israel is on extremely high alert. Its very doubtful that the USA, UK or any other nation will come to our aid, and the United Nothings will not lift a finger to stop Iran, so GOD is Israel’s only hope. And GOD is calling the Body of Yeshua in the nations to stand with, and pray for Israel as never before. It is not only a Middle East matter – it is a Kingdom matter.
Please pray that YHVH will extend His hand of supernatural protection over Israel and that PM Netanyahu will be bold enough to make a quick and decisive decision if the need arises to take military action against Iran.
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their GOD. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom …… David & Josie
Please continue to pray for Divine and Angelic protection over the IDF soldiers and civilans near the border with Gaza as more violent protests are planned for the weekend

Israel?s Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) released its traditional statistics report on the citizens of Israel in honor of Yom Ha?Atzmaut, Israeli Independence Day, which is celebrated this year on Wednesday night and Thursday. Israel boasts 8,842,000 citizens, more than 10 times as many as the 806,000 at the time of the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948. On Israel?s 100th birthday, in 2048, the CBS estimate that Israel?s population will grow to about 15 million citizens. According to CBS projections, Israel?s population will surpass 10 million some time between 2025 and 2030. The Jewish population stands at 6,589,000 million, 75 percent of the entire population. Israel?s Arab citizens constitute 20.9 percent of the total population, numbering approximately 1,849,000. Non-Arab Christians and other religious groups constitute 4.65 percent of the population. Since last year?s Independence Day, Israel?s population grew by 163,000, constituting a 1.9 percent growth, including 177,000 newborn babies; 41,000 people have died.Israel?s population is young in comparison to other Western countries. Children up to the age of 14 constitute 28 percent of the population. Israel welcomed 28,000 new immigrants in the last year. Some 3.5 million people have made Aliyah (immigration to Israel) since 1948, making up 42 percent of the total population. About 75 percent of Israel?s population is Israeli-born ? known as ?sabras? ? half of them second-generation. In 1948, only 35 percent were sabras, and their numbers have since more than doubled. In 2018, over 70 years after the Holocaust, the largest Jewish population lives in Israel. Please pray that in spite of the Iranian threat and opposition of the United Nothings, that Israel will continue to prosper and grow
2. Israel Supports Allied Attack on Syrian Chemical Plant Times of Israel News April 14th
Israel said on Saturday that the combined US, British and French strikes on Syria were an ?appropriate? response to the alleged chemical gas attack and warned that Damascus?s actions put it in danger of further strikes, including against its leadership. ?Last year, President Trump made it clear that using chemical weapons crossed a red line. Tonight, led by the Americans, the US, France and Britain acted appropriately,? said a statement attributed to an unnamed official in Jerusalem. ?Syria continues to carry out murderous actions and to be a base for these and other actions, including by Iran, that puts its territory, forces and leadership in danger,? the terse statement said. Israel was informed ahead of the strikes, sources said. Pray that the attack last Saturday will have its desired effect to dissuade Bashar Assad from using chemical weapons again
3. Iranian Drone Shot Down Over Israel Carried Explosives Times of Israel News April 14th
Israel has now revealed that an Iranian drone shot down in Israeli airspace in February after launching from an airbase in Syria was carrying explosives. The base was attacked on Monday, allegedly by Israel, in a strike that reportedly targeted Iran?s entire attack drone weapons system ? prompting soaring tensions between Israel and Iran. The Iranian drone shot down in February was carrying enough explosives to cause damage, military sources said. Its precise intended target in Israel was not known, they said. The February incident marked an unprecedented direct Iranian attack on Israel. Israel?s acknowledgement of the nature of the drone?s mission ?brings the confrontation? between Israel and Iran ?into the open? for the first time, Israel?s Channel 10 reported. Iran is now sufficiently emboldened as to directly attack Israel. The February drone attack was the first direct Iranian confrontation with Israel, after years of it employing Lebanese and Palestinian proxies to target the Jewish state from Lebanon, the West Bank and Gaza. That attack had real cost for Israel, which lost an F-16 in retaliatory raids later that same day. Pray for a new revolution in Iran that will remove the current Israel hating leadership
4. Iran & Israel Now at War Times of Israel News April 16th
A top Israeli military official told the New York Times reporter that for the first time, Israel last week targeted Iranian forces stationed at the T4 Syrian airbase. The Israeli attack was in retaliation for an Iranian drone that was shot down after in entered Israeli air space in February. At the time Israeli Airforce Jews attacked the T4 base and an Israeli F16 crashed after it was hit by a surface to air missile. “It was the first time we attacked live Iranian targets ? both facilities and people,? an unnamed senior military source told The Times? Thomas Friedman. The official said the explosives-laden drone launched by Iran into Israeli airspace in February was the first time Tehran directly engaged with Israel militarily, and not through a proxy. The Israeli official said the drone incident ?opened a new period.? An Iranian general stated that a date has been set for the destruction of Israel. Brigadier General Heydari, the commander of the Iranian ground forces, said in a speech that Iran’s army is “much stronger than in the past” and that Israel can no longer threaten the Islamic Republic. The Iranian news agency Mehr reported that the general said that “the date has already been set” for the destruction of Israel. Pray that Israel is quick to respond quickly and decisively to any Iranian agression.
5. IDF Destroys New & Longest Gaza Tunnel Times of Israel News April 15th
The Israel Defense Forces announce on Sunday that it destroyed a sophisticated Hamas attack tunnel, leading from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, over the weekend. The tunnel was the ?longest and deepest? underground passage discovered in Israel thus far, according to the Defense Minister. It passed under the border in an area where Palestinian protesters have recently clashed with security forces, the army said. A military spokesman said the tunnel was dug by the Hamas terrorist group and was connected to a ?kilometers-long? network of other passages under the Gaza Strip. The tunnel reached ?tens of meters? into Israeli territory in the area of the northern Gaza Strip, close to the Israeli community of Nahal Oz, the army said. It was constructed after the 50-day 2014 conflict between Israel and Hamas. It was detected using new technologies and methods that the IDF has deployed against the terror tunnel threat and was destroyed over the weekend. This was clearly a terror tunnel that connected to other tunnels in the Gaza Strip and violated Israeli sovereignty. Security forces had been monitoring this tunnel network, which had been under construction for years, the spokesman said. The decision was taken to destroy the tunnel once it crossed into Israeli territory. Gazan tunnel diggers were working their way up to the surface to construct an exit within Israeli territory when the army decided to act. Pray that any new tunnel activity will be seen and terminated
6. Israel Sets Red Line for Russia Israel Today News April 17th
If there’s a clear indication that Israel intends to continue bombing Syria despite threats from Iran, this is it. Israel’s government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had sent a clear message to Russia that it must not sell its advanced S-300 air defense system to the Syrian regime. This after Moscow had reportedly been reconsidering its decision not to sell the S-300 to Damascus following a joint US-British-French air raid on Syria over the weekend. Russia is trying to help Syrian dictator Bashar Assad stay in power, and Israeli, US and other Western air strikes have primarily targeted forces loyal to his regime and those of his Iranian and Hezbollah allies. Israel’s warning to Russia, and the possibility that Russia will anyway supply Syria with advanced air defenses, has heightened concerns that the region, and perhaps the world, is on the brink of a major all-out war. Pray that Russia heeds the request of PM Netanyahu
7. Israel Celebrates 70th Anniversary of the Founding State
Hundreds of thousands of Israelis flocked to beaches and parks, lighting grills, waving flags and craning their necks for a glimpse of Israel?s fighter jets to mark the country?s 70th Independence Day on Thursday. After a night of fireworks, concerts, parties and an emotional crossover from Memorial Day to Independence Day, most Israelis were spending the day, a national holiday, celebrating the country?s birthday. Some 200,000 Israelis were at the country?s national parks, with 48,000 visiting the Banias Nature Reserve in the Golan Heights and 18,000 camped around the Sea of the Galilee, according to the parks authority. A highlight of the day was the cross-country flyover of military jets and helicopters, which for the second year included Israel?s fleet of F-35 jets, considered the most advanced plane in the world. Lets give thanks to the GOD of Israel for His faithfulness to Israel and to all who love Him
