David’s Comment: The Winds of War are Blowing Once Again
Revelation 12:7 War Broke Out in Heaven ……… Satan was cast down to the Earth
The above Bible verse tells us that millenia ago, a war broke out in Heaven between Satan and the Archangel Michael and their angelic forces. The verse goes on to say that as a result of that war, Satan and the dark angels were cast out of Heaven and they have existed here on the Earth ever since. As a result of that, from the day that Cain killed his brother Abel, human beings have been killing each other in incomprehensible numbers. World War 2 alone claimed the lives of more than 80 million people – each and every one was created and loved by the God of Israel.
In the Middle East, the conflict between the sons of Abraham has been claiming lives for almost 4000 years, and shows no sign of ending any time soon. This conflict has drawn other nations into it over the last 2000 years, and is still doing so in 2017. In fact it appears to be about to erupt in a very serious way. The civil war in Syria had been raging for more than 5 years, and has cost the lives of more than 300,000 Syrians and created a huge refugee problem in many parts of Europe. If you have been watching the news over the last week, you will be aware that a large number of Syrian adults and children have become the victims of a chemical weapons attack. This in turn prompted President Trump to fire 59 cruise missiles at the Syrian airfield, from which it is claimed that the chemical attack was launched.
Most government leaders and news media sources lay the blame for the chemical attack at the door of the Syrian government led by President Assad. However the situation becomes very complicated and sensitive because Russian and Iran support Assad, and in his defence they are accusing the USA of unwarranted aggression that verges on a ‘war crime.’ Russia stands with Assad in denying that the Syrian government carried out the attack. The previously warm rapport between Putin and Trump has cooled down over the last few days, and the statements coming out of the White House and the Kremlin are hotting up. More seriously,America is now sending more of its navy to the Middle East, and in response Russia is also sending another aircraft carrier to the area.
The US military was very careful to give Russia advanced notice of its attack against the Syrian airbase, and I would say extreme caution was used to ensure none of the missiles landed anywhere near Russian forces that are deployed inside Syria. However there is no guarantee when extremely powerful missiles are being fired at multiple targets. Just one unfortunate misfire could kill a large number of Russian personnel, resulting in a major diplomatic crisis between the USA and Russia. In the past serious conflicts, costing multitudes of lives, have started over such incidents.
Here in Israel we are watching the Syrian situation very closely, as it is unfolding a mere 200 kilometers or 140 miles from where we live on Mt Carmel. In a confirmation of our concern, we just heard on CNN news that Russian and Iran are warning that if the US attacks Syria again, they will respond with force. As I am writing this, the new US Secretary of State is flying to Moscow to discuss the situation and to encourage President Putin to stop supporting Assad. We also heard that the US Stock Market is very nervous about the US – Russia standoff over Syria and one financial ‘expert’ warned that any kind of conflict between the USA and Russia could lead to a Global financial melt-down.
Meanwhile on the other side of the world, the USA is also sending navy vessels towards North Korea in response the the rogue nation’s ongoing missile launches. Who knows what that could lead to !!! In the late 1990’s we were told that the approaching “Age of Aquarius” would bring world peace in the new millenium – how wrong they were ! However to end on a positive note, YHVH – the GOD of Israel is still sitting on the ‘Throne’ of the Universe. He neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4) and He is still in control of every nation and every leader, and He will bring His plan to fulfillment – to re-establish His Kingdom on the Earth and to send His Son `Yeshua back to rule His Kingdom from Jerusalem. The sooner the better !
As the Winds of War increasingly grow stronger, let us all play our part in hastening the day that Yeshua returns (2 Peter 3:12) to Jerusalem to judge the nations and to establish true peace, by standing with Israel and praying for all of the words of the prophets to be fullfilled. (Acts 3:21)
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom & Hag Pesach Sameach …… David & Josie

1. New UN Leaders Speaks the Truth About Jerusalem Israel Today News April 8th
Irina Bokova, the director-general of UNESCO, which last year passed a motion denying the Jewish connection to Jerusalem, shocked many last week when she publicly affirmed the Jews? historic connection to the Holy City. ?In the Torah, Jerusalem is the capital of King David, where Solomon built the Temple and placed the Ark of the Covenant,? Bokova reminded the European Parliament in a session on Thursday. ?The protection of the heritage of Jerusalem is part of a broader vision for peace and the fight against all forms of denial of Jewish history, delegitimization of Israel and anti-Semitism,? she continued. No doubt Bokova will soon be facing a tidal wave of outrage from the Muslim world, which in recent years has tried to rewrite history and erase the Jewish connection to Jerusalem. Leading the charge are the Palestinian Arabs, who today insist there never was a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, and that the Israelis are foreign occupiers in this city. Let us pray that she maintains her truthful position concerning Jerusalem & the Temple Mount
2. Israel’s New Defense System a Concern to the Enemies Israel Today News April 8th
Israel this week officially unveiled a not-so-secret secret weapon it has been working on with the US defense industry for some years. The entry into service of the David?s Sling anti-missile system completes Israel?s multi-tier missile shield. Already for years the Iron Dome has been protecting southern Israel from short-range rockets and mortar shells. The Arrow system recently went into service to defend Israel against long-range ballistic missiles. It was utilized a week ago to defend Israeli warplanes on a mission over Syria from enemy anti-aircraft. David?s Sling is intended to fill the gap between the Iron Dome and the Arrow by knocking down the type of medium-range missiles of which Lebanon?s Hezbollah is believed to have tens of thousands. With this multi-tier missile shield in place, Israel?s enemies are unlikely to do much damage to her, but would not survive a serious Israeli counterattack. And that?s why Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned during the ceremony for the David?s Sling:?Whoever tries to strike us will be hit, those that threaten our existence put themselves in existential danger.? Let’s pray that Israel will continue to improve and increase its defense technology
3. Is Donald Trump Back-Peddling on His Promises to Support Israel ? Israel Today News – by Brian Hennesy
An eerie parallel is beginning to emerge between the newly elected American President and the Fourth Century emperor of Rome. If it continues on course, it does not bode well for either the body of Messiah or Israel. Constantine, as we know, was the one who looked like the most powerful friend Christianity ever had. But in fact he was the one who became its greatest betrayer, sending the faith spiraling into apostasy for centuries afterwards. Before he became emperor, Christians were suffering terribly under the Roman emperors. Its followers were considered atheists by Roman standards and persecuted accordingly. Constantine changed all that after supposedly seeing a vision which he attributed to the Christian God, which led him to achieve a decisive military victory. He then promoted Christianity to become the dominant religion of the Empire as a way to unify his realm.
Trump?s rise to the American throne of power also comes at a time when Christian civilization is under serious attack. Radical Islam has been unleashing its demonic hatred against Christians all over the world, as well as against Jews and other minorities. At the same time secular humanism has all but dethroned Biblical beliefs in the West. However, Trump?s stunning victory has brought new hope that both of these satanic onslaughts can be rolled back. And that decades of declining Biblical values can be restored through political power. Which of course, they can?t. Nevertheless, he is being heralded as the new champion of the faith, though the genuineness of his faith, like Constantine?s, is questionable. Which brings me to this most foreboding parallel. When both men came to power they were faced with a divisive situation that was rattling the well-being of their respective worlds. For Constantine it was a theological debate over the deity of Jesus. For Trump it is the Israeli / Palestinian conflict. Let’s pray that Donald Trump does not become a ‘politician’, and turn against Israel to win the approval of Israel’s enemies
4. ISIS Fires into Southern Israel on Eve of Passover Times of Israel News April 10th
A rocket fired from Egypt?s Sinai Peninsula struck a greenhouse in southern Israel on Monday morning 10 April 2017, police said. Though no one was injured by the rocket, a 50-year-old man who was nearby when it landed suffered an anxiety attack as a result of the assault. The plastic sheeting that served as the roof the greenhouse was damaged, but the structure remained standing. Just after 11:30 a.m., the incoming missile alarm known as a ?Code Red? sounded at the border with Egypt and the Gaza Strip. After a search of the area, police found the rocket in the community of Yuval, near the Egyptian border, in a greenhouse where tomatoes were being grown. According to the IDF, the rocket was fired from the Sinai Peninsula, by the ISIS terrorist group?s affiliate there. The attack came hours after Israel shut down the Taba Crossing into the Sinai Peninsula, citing information about an imminent terror attack in the area. Please continue to pray against terrorist attacks and violence against Israelis and tourists during the vulnerable week of Passover.
5. Syria Unlikely to Attack Israel with Chemical Weapons Times of Israel News April 12th
Former IDF general Yoav Galant, Israel?s housing minister, said Monday that despite Syrian President Bashar Assad?s use of chemical weapons against his own civilians, there was little chance the leader of the war-torn country would deploy them in an attack against Israel. ?Assad has proved that he is an unrestrained man, a war criminal who will do anything,? Galant told Army Radio, referring to last week?s chemical attack on a rebel-held village that killed nearly 90 civilians. ?However, he is using this weapon against helpless people who pose no threat to him, so in this regard, Israel is safe in the hands of the IDF,? he said. ?I think we should be vigilant, but the risk is not something that?s realistic at this time.? Let’s pray that Syria never attempts to attack Israel with any kind of weapons.
6. Iran’s Ahmadinejad Intends to Run for President Again
Iran?s former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday stunned the country by unexpectedly filing to run in the May presidential election, contradicting a recommendation from the supreme leader to stay out of the race. Ahmadinejad?s surprise decision could upend an election many believed would be won by moderate President Hassan Rouhani, who negotiated the nuclear deal with world powers. Ahmadinejad?s firebrand style could prove appealing for hard-liners seeking a tough-talking candidate who can stand up to US President Donald Trump. His candidacy also could expose the fissures inside Iranian politics that linger since his contested 2009 re-election, which brought massive unrest. Journalists watched as stunned election officials processed Ahmadinejad?s paperwork on Wednesday. Ahmadinejad previously served 2 four-year terms from 2005 to 2013. Under Iranian law, he became eligible to run again after four years out of office, but he remains a polarizing figure, even among fellow hard-liners. Internationally, Ahmadinejad is known for repeatedly questioning the scale of the Holocaust, calling for the destruction of Israel and expanding Iran?s contested nuclear program. Lets pray that the LORD’s choice will come to power in the Iranian elections
7. Hamas is Playing the Western World As Fools I24 Newsite April 13th
Gaza is one of the poorest places in the world; there are 1,700 millionaires among Hamas members. That’s the number of millionaires in Hamas, not the total number of millionaires in Gaza. We still don’t know what the total number is. 4 of Hamas top leaders are billionaires. Dr. Musa Abu Marzook is considered one of Hamas? wealthiest billionaires. ?Arab sources estimate his wealth at $2-3 billion. Khaled Mashaal. ?Estimates around the world are that Mashaal is currently worth $2.6 billion, for examples. There is money in Gaza it?s in the pockets of corruption. Lets pray that the foolish Western leaders and media wake up to why the general population of Gaza lives in financial hardship
