David’s Comment: After the Election – YHVH Has Confirmed that ‘Bibi’ is His Man Romans 13:1 ?All authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God?
As most of you are aware, Israel voted last Tuesday. The result was that the right wing Likud party of PM Benjamin Netanayhu and the new centre left Blue & White party led by former IDF General Benny Gantz both winning 35 seats. There are 120 seats in the Israeli government, so a minimum of 61 seats is required to form a functioning government. This means that PM Netanyahu and Benny Gantz need to form a coalition with the smaller parties to assemble a majority goverrnment. As its stands right now it seems that ‘Bibi’ has a coalition of 65 seats, while Gantz can only muster 55. Now Israel’s President Reuven Rivln will make the final decision in calling either man form the next government. The President does not like PM Netanyahu, so had the seat numbers been closer, he may well have chosen Benny Gantz to be the Prime Minister, but with a 10 seat majority, it is almost a 100% certainty that PM Netanyahu will continue to lead Israel. So, as the opening verse clearly declares, GOD has made His choice and kept PM Netanyahu as the leader of His nation.
Of course a lot of people are not happy about the result. Even a lot of Israeli Messianic Jews are not happy because the Religious parties will be a part of the coalition, and they do all they can to deligitimise the Messianic believers in the Land. However Believers (everywhere) should not make decisions based on what is good for us personally, but on what is best for the purposes of hastening the coming of Yeshua to set the Kingdom on Earth. The other left wing parties are more likely to give away land in the (false) hope of peace, which would delay the coming of the Lord. On that basis PM Netanyahu and his right wing government is the best choice for the Kingdom. My main concern in the weeks leading up the election was that Iran may have seen the state of division and uncertainty of the political future as a window of opportunity to finally carry our their constant threat to attack and destroy Israel. International news began to report about serious flooding in Iran. Over the week before the election the heavy rains persisted creating even more flooding, causing serious damage to power networks, roads and bridges, and the evacuation of hundreds of population centres. If the rogue Iranian regime was intending to attack Israel, those plans may well have been thwarted by the weather. At the same time we heard a news report that a submarine under construction in an Iranian naval facility was damaged, and a least 3 workers were killed when one of its batteries exploded. No-one can say for sure, one way or the other, but these events that happened in Iran, may also have the ‘finger-prints of GOD’ on them. He warns about the consequences of messing around with His chosen people, Israel. To paraphrase Genesis 12:3, YHVH says declares that He will mess with those who mess with Israel. The main thing is that no Iranian attack eventuated at this very sensitive and strategic time.
Now we are waiting to learn what President Trump and Jarod Kushner have in mind as they attempt to achieve what no other political leader has succeeded in doing over the last 50 years – peace between Israel and the mythical Palestinans. Even if PA leader Machmud Abbas agrees to the US plan, that still leaves Hamas, Hizbollah and the other terror organisations, and their major sponsor Iran, committed to Israel’s destruction. Therefore Israel needs strong leadership that is committed to ensure the nations security and continued growth. Here are some prayer points that we believe are good to pray ……..
1/ That the LORD will lead PM Netanyahu to select the right people for the key positions in the new government
2/ That PM Netanyahu and the new government will continue to make Israel’s security and military preparedness a priority
3/ That PM Netanyahu and the new government will be more caring towards the financially needy sector of Israeli society
4/ That PM Netanyahu and the new government will make it easier for young families to purchase their own homes
5/ That PM Netanyahu and the new government will keep all of his election promises, especially the annexation of Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria (West Bank), and that no Jewish Israelis will ever again be forced off the land that GOD has given
6/ That PM Netanyahu and the new government will not agree to any US peace plan that involves giving up land for peace
7/ That PM Netanyahu will not be manipulated by the religious parties who hold the balance of power in the new coalition, especially concerning the rights of Messianic Jews
The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on all of the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel. Please pray that all Israel will turn back to their GOD. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.
Shabbat Shalom ….. David & Josie h

2. PM Netanyahu Promises to Annex Samarian Settlements United With Israel News April 7th
Israelis go to the polls on Tuesday and PM Netanyahu is competing for votes with right-wing parties who support annexing part of the West Bank. Last month the United States recognised the occupied Golan Heights, seized from Syria in 1967, as Israeli territory. Israel has settled about 400,000 Jews in West Bank settlements, with another 200,000 living in East Jerusalem. There are about 2.5 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians want to establish a state in the occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. What happens to the settlements is one of the most contentious issues between Israel and the Palestinians – Palestinians say the presence of settlements makes a future independent state impossible. Israel says the Palestinians are using the issue of settlements as a pretext to avoid direct peace talks. It says settlements are not a genuine obstacle to peace and are negotiable. He was asked during an interview on Israeli TV why he had not extended Israeli sovereignty to large settlements in the West Bank. “You are asking whether we are moving on to the next stage – the answer is yes, we will move to the next stage,” he said. “I am going to extend Israeli sovereignty and I don’t distinguish between settlement blocs and the isolated settlements.” Pray that PM Netanyahu will keep his promise and quickly.

Amanpour said. The clip of the introduction was tweeted by Hillel Neuer, executive director of the NGO UN Watch. He said in his tweet that ?Haifa is not ?on the West Bank.? It?s in Israel. Where Jews & Arabs live together in harmony.? Haifa, located in northern Israel, is the third largest city in Israel and has a mixed Jewish and Arab population. 4. PM Netanyahu’s to Continue as Israel’s Leader World Israel News April 10th
It was a tense national election day on Tuesday, with the 10 p.m. exit polls showing the new Blue and White party in the lead or level with PM Netanyahu’s Likud party. Just after 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, however, Prime Minister Netanyahu emerged as the clear winner, with Likud leading 35 to 34 over Blue and White. They were followed by religious and right-wing parties ? natural partners for Likud ? putting Netanyahu in a strong position to form the next government. ?The right-wing bloc led by Likud clearly won,? Netanyahu told thousands of jubilant supporters at Likud headquarters. ?I will begin forming a right-wing government with our natural partners already tonight? This is a night of tremendous, tremendous victory.? Pray as I have suggested in this week’s comment section
5. Israel Maintains Middle East Air Superiority Jerusalem Post April 4th
The Pentagon’s decision to stop the delivery of F-35 stealth fighter jet equipment to Turkey due to Ankara’s decision to purchase the Russian-made S-400 air defense system will allow Israel to keep its aerial superiority in the Middle East. Israel currently has 14 F-35 jets and is expected to have 50 planes by 2024. A senior Israeli defense official was quoted by media sources in Aug. 2018 as saying that Israel would like to be the only country in the Middle East with the F-35 in order to keep its qualitative military edge and out of fears that the jet’s capabilities would be leaked to enemy countries. As a partner in the F-35 program, Turkey invested over $1 billion on the jet, with several local companies producing fuselages and cockpit screens. Turkish defense companies also produce high-end SOM-J missiles for the Joint Strike Fighter program and Turkey is Europe’s maintenance and repair center for the F-35. The already fragile relations between Israel and Turkey have been increasingly strained in recent months as the Turkish President, a vocal critic of Israel?s policy toward the Palestinians, has intensified his rhetoric. Pray that Israel will always have the upper hand militarily, on land, sea and air
6. Israeli Spacecraft Enters Lunir Orbit JTA News April 7th
The Israeli spacecraft Beresheet has successfully entered the moon?s orbit in its last major step before landing on the moon. With this latest development, Israel became the seventh country ever to enter the moon?s orbit. The maneuver, the spacecraft?s seventh, was conducted with full communication between the control room and Beresheet, and broadcast live on social media. The lunar lander is expected to touch down on the moon?s surface on the evening of 11 April 2019, in the northeastern part of the Sea of Serenity, a flat area on the moon?s surface. Beresheet was launched on 22 Feb.2019 from Cape Canaveral, Florida, It has so far traveled over 3.4 million miles in its orbits around the earth and will travel 1 million more around the moon. After it lands on the moon it will take photographs of the landing site and a selfie to prove Israel landed on the moon. The spacecraft is not expected to return to earth. Pray that this courageous endeavor on the part of Israel will result in a historical, successful mission
7. Research Finds Israel Has the Worlds Healthy Diet Globes News April 6th
Research carried out by Dr. Christopher Murray, Director of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, University of Washington in the USA has found that Israel has the world’s healthiest diet. The results of the study entitled the ‘Global Burden of Disease’ were published in the UK medical journal “The Lancet.” The research tracked trends in consumption of 15 dietary factors from 1990 to 2017 in 195 countries. Dr. Murray wrote, “This study affirms what many have thought for several years – that poor diet is responsible for more deaths than any other risk factor in the world. While sodium, sugar, and fat have been the focus of policy debates over the past two decades, our assessment suggests the leading dietary risk factors are high intake of sodium, or low intake of healthy foods, such as whole grains, fruit, nuts and seeds, and vegetables. The paper also highlights the need for comprehensive interventions to promote the production, distribution, and consumption of healthy foods across all nations.” The study says, “The countries with the lowest rates of diet-related deaths were Israel (89 deaths per 100,000 people), France, Spain, Japan, and Andorra.”
