David’s Comment: Thank you ABBA !
Jeremiah 29:11 I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a hope and a future
I am writing this comment on the morning of my birthday. I want to publicly express my heart of thanksgiving for my life to the One who created me and who has had HIS hand over me for the 65 years that I have been on Planet Earth. I was born on January 19th 1955 in Greenlane Hospital in Auckland New Zealand. Both of my parents were Jewish and all of my forefathers are from the  Levite tribe. Sadly both of my were athiests and had no knowledge of the reality of the GOD of Israel, so I was not brought up to know the truth and the reason that we were Jewish. I was a total athiest and hated all religions

However GOD had an amazing plan for my life and when I was 15, I met Josie who did know the LORD from an early age. As our relationship developed I took her away from her relationship with YHVH and we lived a worldly life for the next 20 plus years. Fortunately GOD had not given up on us and HE had not forgotten HIS plans for our lives, and the Holy Spirit called Josie back in 1986.
At first I opposed her re-ignited faith very strongly, but the LORD was at work and 1 year later I became a Believer and accepted Yeshua as my Messiah and Lord. Very soon after I began to explore what it meant to be Jewish and believe in Yeshua, and how to live my life as a Messianic Jew. We attended a Messianic home fellowship on the Sabbath and a regular church on Sunday morning.

We were both hungry for everything that GOD had for us and our sons Stefan and Jordan, we read lots of books, we listened to a lot of teachings by Derek Prince, David Pawson and Jack Hayford, and we attended many seminars and conferences. About 4 years later GOD spoke to both of us and it was clear that HE was calling us to sell everything and immigrate to the land of my forefathers – Israel. We immediately began to make preparations, selling our new home and the share of a business I was involved in, and six months later we arrived in Israel and a few months later we set up our new life on the top of Mt. Carmel. And we have been here now for 28 years, along with our sons Stefan and Jordan, their wives Keren and Limor, and our four grand-daughters.

Most of you are reading this comment because you attended a meeting where I was speaking and signed up for our newsletter. Some of you are recent additions, but we know that many of you have been standing with us for many, many years. As we enter our 64th and 65th years, Josie and I stand in awe and thanksgiving of what the LORD has done in our lives over the last 32 years. HE brought us into HIS Kingdom, HE brought us to Israel and to the top of Mt. Carmel, HE sent us to bless the people in many nations, and HE connected us to you.

So …… thank you ABBA for creating me, thank you ABBA for revealing to me your son Yeshua who is the Way, the Truth and the Life; thank you ABBA for my wife; thank you ABBA for our 2 sons and their wonderful wives, thank you ABBA for our amazing grand-daughters, thank you ABBA for taking us from the ends of the Earth and planting us on top of Mt.Carmel; thank you ABBA for the privilege of being an Ambassador of Your Kingdom to Nations; and thank you ABBA for the multitudes of partners you have added to the Out of Zion support team; thank you ABBA for keeping us in good health; thank you ABBA for protecting us from accident and injury; thank you ABBA for providing for all of our practical needs;

Finally I want to thank all of our brothers and sisters in the nations, who love the GOD of Israel; who love the nation of Israel and the Jewish people; and special thanks to those of you who faithfully pray for and support our family and the ministry that the LORD has called us to. May HE bless you and your family many times over. Josie and I deeply appreciate your willingness to partner with us to  fulfill all that the LORD has called us to do here in Israel, and in the nations.

The LORD bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on all of the land given to the Jewish people by the GOD of Israel.  Please pray that all Israel will turn back to their GOD.  Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for a breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray Divine protection for all of the soldiers in the IDF.

Shabbat Shalom  …..  David & Josie

This Week’s News Items

1. ‘Palestinians’ Threaten to Rage Against Israel    Israel Today News   Jan 18th

Israel?s ostensible peace partners are at it again, threatening like petulant children to unleash a temper tantrum of violence if they don?t get what they want. In a December 12, 2019 interview on An-Najah Broadcasting Channel, Palestinian Authority (PA) official Abbas Zaki implicitly called for Palestinian terror attacks against Israel. He did this despite the fact that the Palestinians supposedly eschewed violence when they agreed to join the ?Oslo? peace process. Zaki was asked by his host what the Palestinians should do if Israel fails to recognize their claim to Jerusalem by permitting PA elections to take place there. ?We must?shake the foundations of Israel,? Zaki replied. To which his host wondered, ?How?? ?Necessity permits that which is forbidden,? the PA official stated in a clear reference to the kind of terrorist violence that only serves to perpetuate the conflict. Abbas Zaki is a member of the Central Committee of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas? ruling Fatah party. He is also the PA?s official liaison for China relations. This would be the equivalent of a top unelected government official in the US or any European country going on TV and encouraging citizens to kill anyone who opposed their national agenda. So, why aren?t we hearing about it when even the PA?s most well-groomed, best-educated and most-influential people are advocating violence and bloodshed? Because they make such threats in Arabic, knowing that so doing gives the mainstream international media the excuse it needs to ignore Palestinian intransigence and maintain the narrative that the lack of peace is all Israel?s fault. But the reality remains that Palestinian terror and the failure of the PA leadership to educate their people for genuine peace is the true reason that the conflict persists. Pray that world leaders and the media finally see through the lies and deceptions of the mythical ‘Palestianians.’

2. Riot Breaks Out on the Temple Mount   World Israel News   Jan 18th

As roughly 8,000 Muslim worshipers ended their prayers on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem last Friday, several hundred Arabs began to riot and violate public order. In response, the district commander of the Israeli Police sent forces to restore order and eject rioters from the holy site. ?The Israeli police will not allow violations of public order in the Temple Mount area, and will work to prevent any riots or calls of a nationalistic background,? a spokesperson said. This is far from the first time riots have broken out on the Temple Mount. In August, Arab riots erupted on the Mount when Tisha b?Av, the Jewish memorial day for the destruction of the First and Second Jewish Temples, fell on the same day as the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha (?Feast of the Sacrifice?), which commemorates the biblical Abraham?s readiness to sacrifice his son. In June, Arabs rioted on the Temple Mount when authorities granted permission to Jewish visitors to enter on Jerusalem Day, which happened to fall during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Despite capturing the Temple Mount ? Judaism?s holiest site and Islam?s third-holiest ? from Jordan in the 1967 Six Day War, when the Jewish state was under attack by the surrounding Arab countries, Israel gave the Jordanian Waqf, or Islamic Trust, administrative control of the site. As part of the Israel-Jordan peace treaty signed in 1994, Jordan was given official status as custodian of Muslim holy sites. In the years since, the number of Jews and Christians ascending the Temple Mount has increased significantly, despite the Waqf?s prohibition of non-Muslim prayer on the site. Pray that Israel takes back full control of the Temple Mount.

3. Latest Poll: Next Israel Election Will be Another Impass   World Israel News    Jan 18th

Israel has been mired in political deadlock since two inconclusive elections in 2019. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his chief rival, Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz, had both failed to cobble together a coalition government. A new poll published on Thursday shows that the 3rd electionin 12 months will do very little to change the country?s political landscape. According to the poll, if elections were held today, Benny Gantz?s Blue and White party would win one more Knesset seats (34) than it did the last election (33), and PM Netanyahu?s Likud party would win the same number (32). A coalition of 61 seats is the minimum requirement to form a government. As for the smaller parties, the poll predicts that Israel Beiteinu would win the same eight seats it won in the last election, the Sephardic Ultra-Orthodox Shas party would drop from nine to eight seats, United Torah Judaism would match its current seven seats, and the newly formed Yamina (Right) party would win 10 seats. The Otzma Yehudit party would fail to cross the 3.25% electoral threshold, the poll indicates. The left-wing parties of Labor-Gesher-Meretz would win 8 seats collectively, and the Arab Joint List, which so far refuses to join any coalition, would win the same 13 it received in the last election. As with the last two elections, it?s unlikely that either Gantz orPM  Netanyahu will be able to form a ruling government without the Israel Beiteinu party led by Avigdor Liebeman.  Pray that the election on March 2nd will produce a conclusive result.

4. Israel Deploys New Anti Tunnel Technology on the Northern Border   INN News   Jan 19th

Last Sunday the IDF began deploying permanent technological infrastructure for discovering and identifying underground digging activity on the Lebanon border. The sensor infrastructure is based on a unique technology that has been adapted to the characteristics of the terrain on the northern border, and aims to prevent further underground terror activity. About a year ago, as part of Operation Northern Shield, the IDF exposed and destroyed six tunnels dug by the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which crossed the border from Lebanon into Israel. The IDF assumes that there are currently no more such cross-border tunnels. According to the IDF, “The deployment of the infrastructure is another component of the extensive defense effort that is regularly conducted in the Galilee region. IDF forces will continue to fulfill their mission of defending and operating around the clock in order to preserve the sovereignty of the State of Israel and protect its residents.” Pray that the new anti tunnel technology will be effective and successful in detecting tunnel construction.

5. PM Netanyahu Vows to Annex Jordan Valley, Judea and Samaria     World Israel News  Jan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu renewed a vow to annex Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria as the embattled leader kicked off a third election campaign in under a year on Tuesday.
Addressing Likud Party supporters at a campaign launch event in Jerusalem,  PM Netanyahu promised to ?impose Israeli sovereignty on the Jordan Valley and northern Dead Sea,? then pledged to annex all Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria ?without exception.? Israel captured Judea and Samaria in the 1967 Six-Day War along with the Gaza Strip, in addition to reuniting Jerusalem. The Palestinians seek to take those territories from Israel as part of a future state. PM Netanyahu had previously called for the annexation of the Jordan Valley ahead of September?s repeat parliamentary elections. The region remains crucial to defending the country?s eastern flank and represents the ?biblical heartland? for many Jews throughout the world. The Jordan Valley makes up around a quarter of Judea and Samaria and is the territory?s agricultural center.  Pray the PM Netanyahu is able to annex all the land the GOD promised to Abraham and his descendants

6. World Leaders Gather in Jerusalem for Holocaust Memorial   Arutz 7 News    Jan 23rd

The central event of the World Holocaust Forum is taking place Thursday afternoon at Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in Jerusalem. Leaders from around the world are participating, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, US Vice President Mike Pence, and French President Emmanuel Macron. President Reuven Rivlin opened the program, saying the world can unite to fight anti-Semitism and hatred as armies united against the Nazis during World War II as a matter of humanity. “Anti-Semitism does not stop with Jews – no democracy is immune,” he said. Rivlin also emphasized that Israel is not compensation for Holocaust – “It’s our homeland.”

7. Israel Working to Produce a Healing Super-Wine   World Israel News   Jan 20th

The medicinal benefits of drinking a glass of red wine in the evening have been well documented. Back in the 1990s, it became known as the ?French paradox? after a ground breaking study showed that the French ? whose diet is typically rich in cholesterol and saturated fats but also insist on a glass or two of wine with their meals ? suffer from 40% fewer coronary heart ailments than Americans.
Since then, wine has been widely recognized as a central factor in preventing cardiac events and atherosclerosis. Drinking wine can literally extend your life. Now Israeli researchers are trying to produce the world?s first ?super wine? that condenses all the beneficial factors of fermented grapes ? without affecting the wine?s taste, tones, or tannins. ?Wine contains antioxidants and other substances that help our bodies defend against various ailments, but at a relatively low concentration,? explains a senior lecturer in food science at the Academic and Technology College of Tel Hai.  For three years, researchers at have been working on an innovative recipe to make a single glass of wine many times healthier ? effectively turning it into a superfood that confers exceptional health benefits due to its nutrient density. ?We take the grapes and expose them to organic stress,? The grapes naturally begin to produce substances that are healthy for us, only now these substances are at concentrations many times greater,? he says. Specifically, he is trying to raise the naturally occurring levels of Resveratrol, part of a group of compounds called polyphenols found in the skin of red grapes that act like antioxidants, protecting the body against damage that can put you at a higher risk of contracting cancer and heart disease. Exposing the grapes to ozone gas immediately after harvest in an atomized chamber yielded encouraging results: an increase of up to six times the level of Resveratrol compared to grapes not treated with ozone after harvest. The ultimate goal is to invent and develop a system that will enable the production of healthy wine, to be marketed as a superfood in Israel and around the world. Pray that this revolutionary research and testing will produce that health benefits that are being claimed
