Behold – The Lion of the Tribe of Judah
Joel 3:16 The Lord will also roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem, the heavens and earth will shake, but the Lord will be a shelter for His people
A few weeks back as I was preparing for one of the Tuesday intercession watches on Mt Carmel, I kept hearing the words, “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah” resounding in my spirit. I love cats and big cats, so I decided to do a search on the internet about the characteristics of lions. Below is what I came up with.
As I read the research I kept discovering all the amazing characteristics of a big cat / lion and it began to stir something deep within my spirit with great excitement and expectation. I began to think about the characteristics of the God of Israel, of who He has been, who He is today, and who He will be as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah for Israel. Just as a lion would protect the existence of his own “tribe” so is the Lion of The Tribe of Judah, arising from His throne with a mighty roar to tenaciously protect the existence of His “cub” Israel
The Lion is the “king of the beasts” . They have sheer power and great outbursts of strength that take down their prey. A lions roar can be heard more than 8 kms away. When a lion roars it can do so with enough force to raise up a cloud of dust. They exude majesty and have a grand presence that oozes power, strength and dignity fitting the “king of the beasts” The roar of a lion is a full deep resonant growl that is released from deep within. The male lion always takes the front line in battles and feuds. They mark their territory and then tenaciously guard it, and defend their territory even when they are outnumbered.
Israel is once again in a very vulnerable, perilous situation . Israel’s enemies are like a bunch of vultures gathering in preparation to launch another attack against the Jewish state in the hope that this next war will see the demise of the nation of Israel.
Would you join with us to proclaim, decree and declare with us the power and might of The Lion of the Tribe of Judah over Israel, and declare His word (see scriptures and some suggested prayer points below) – His word will not return void, He watches over His word to perform it.
Pray that the Lion of the Tribe of Judah will tenaciously guard and watch over His beloved Israel, in these crucial days and in the days of war Pray that He will release His great power and strength to take down Israel’s prey
Pray that His “roar” will bring confusion into the plans and camp of Israel’s enemies and His roar will create a “whirlwind” of confusion to deter and defeat the enemy of Israel Psalm 83:`3-17
Pray for His outbursts of strength and power to protect Israel and to impede missiles and weaponry and terror coming onto Israeli soil and that it would be in perfect timing
Pray the Lion of the Tribe of Judah will be in the front line of the battle-field, leading the way ahead of our army, navy and air-force
Pray the Lord will be a shelter for His people Israel in the time of war and attack on the Jewish state.
Psalm 115: 9 O Israel trust in the Lord, He is their help and their shield
Psalm 3: 3 But You O Lord are a shield for me, my glory and the one who lifts up my head
Psalm 91:4 He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings you shall take refuge, his truth shall be your shield and buckler
Isaiah 27:20-21 speaks about the Lord coming out of His place. He is arising from His throne as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah to display great power and strength to tenaciously guard and protect His inheritance, Israel.
Jeremiah 25:30 The Lord will roar from on high and utter His voice from His holy habitation
Isaiah 31:4 As a lion roars and a young lion over his prey, He will not be afraid of their voice nor be disturbed by their noise
We deeply appreciate you standing with us in the battle that is raging over Zion ………
